Parking: The parking lot is very spacious. I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding a parking spot. If you do, there is street parking available as well. Location: The store is located in the left corner of the plaza if you are coming in from the entrance at the light. Acai Smoothie: I chose the acai smoothie with the São Paulo as the acai flavor since this was one of their popular flavors. The flavor consists of acai, banana, and guarana. I would say the taste of the açaí and banana is very good, but this was my first time tasting guarana, and it's quite strong. If I had to describe the taste, I would say it's a sharp, woody, and earthy flavor. Overall: This was a good smoothie for my first time and I would keep coming back. I like that the place opens a little later than most acai places, the staff is very helpful and friendly, they have fresh pastries and lots of menu options. PSA: I was recommended by the staff there that if you want a thicker smoothie the apple oatmeal would be your best option. If you enjoy a lighter tasting acai flavor the pitaya would suit you better. Free toppings: On Tuesday they offer 3 free toppings for their acai bowls. This offer is only available through the app though. read more

Post-gym cravings hit hard, and apparently my personality becomes 90% açai bowl. So naturally, I followed my instincts straight into Acai Republic. Giselle, aka the açai whisperer, was super friendly and guided me through the menu like I was a lost smoothie tourist. I went all in: an açai bowl for me and a smoothie for the hubbeez, because sharing is caring, but mostly because I wanted to try both items. Both were fresh, flavorful, and dangerously easy to inhale in under five minutes. The fruit was actually fresh, not that sad, suspiciously shiny kind. Bonus points: the place was spotless and parking wasn't a nightmare (a true luxury these days)!!! Overall, would absolutely return when my body inevitably demands more açai like a diva!! read more

Was recommended this place by Professor Barbara from our jiu jitsu class. We ended up getting a pitaya smoothie and a build your own bowl. It was very delicious. Had a bit of a slow start since they open at 9 and no one was there right away, but it was fine once things got going. The service was really good and helpful, the staff knew it was our first time and gave great recommendations. The inside is cute with plenty of seating, perfect for hanging out or relaxing. It is on the pricier side, since toppings cost extra (only fruits and granola are included at no charge), but overall a nice spot for a refreshing acai bowl! I came by recently when they were having a grand opening. Not a big fan of açai, but was actually craving it on that particular day since it was so hot. This particular branch is located in Baldwin Park, right off the freeway. It's in a fairly large plaza with plenty of parking, but it's fairly tucked away from the busy street. Pricing seems to be fairly comparative to the other açai places. This particular place offers bowls, smoothies, juices, and even some baked goods. I think I ordered the pitaya and also tried the Cali - both were really good and definitely hit the spot. Fruits tasted fresh and the açaí bases for both were refreshing. I liked the pitaya a bit more because it wasn't as sweet as the base for the Cali. Workers are super nice and helpful. You can order on the kiosks and customize each both to your liking. The acai itself is pretty good, but overall the bowls here are just okay. The topping selection is a bit limited, and the prices run higher, my build your own bowl came out to around $17 after tax. I also tried the Layers of Paradise, and the passion fruit cream made it overly sweet with not much fruit, so I wouldn't get that one again. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and the space is really nice, recently remodeled with plenty of seating, and it's not too busy if you come right after opening. read more

Since I've noticed the açaí republic here in my area it's been quite the game cha get for me. They offer the best Acai bowls I've ever had. Not to mention the fresh squeezed orange juice. I know I can come here for an amazing fresh juice or immune boost ginger drink when I need it. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any question I have! A Messi poster in WPAP (Wedha's Pop Art Portrait) style was hanging on the wall, and a FIFA World Cup Trophy sat on the counter. It was less than a month after Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with Messi as the team leader. They were also selling thermos flasks and phone cases painted with the Argentina football team. I had known this was an Argentine restaurant for a long time, dating back to 2016. I used to live in Glendora Village, just a ten-minute walk to the restaurant by crossing the railway. I didn't know the word "empanadas" before I came to Rika's, even though I had eaten similar food before. In China, there is Uyghur/Muslim food called "baked dumplings," stuffed with seasoned minced lamb, which are almost the same as empanadas. Compared with deep-fried empanadas, Rika's baked version was less oily, with more wheat flour aroma. Their empanada wrap also had a hint of sweetness, which made it very special. The first time I walked past the restaurant, on a random afternoon in 2016, I ordered four different empanadas to take away. At that time, they were $2.35 each. The restaurant was so kind that they wrote the flavor names on the food box. I still remember the experience-those empanadas were hot, aromatic, cheesy, and well-balanced. I was too full to have dinner that night. Later, I brought my family and friends to dine there. Not only were the empanadas delicious, but the deep-dish pizza, salads, and other dishes were also excellent. Let's talk about the empanadas. They had 16 different fillings, from simple ones like beef, sweet beef, spicy beef, ham & cheese, blue cheese, and onion & cheese, to more unique ones. What was interesting was that each filling had its own shape. Regular beef was half-round, sweet beef had both corners folded up, spicy beef had only the left corner folded up, and so on. FATAY (Arabian empanadas) were triangular, while bacon & prunes were square. I tried almost all the different fillings, and they were all good--never disappointing. Even after I moved to Pasadena, I still went back there. Then COVID-19 came. The restaurant closed for a short while, then reopened for takeout only, no dine-in. By June 2022, the price had risen to $2.85 each. By January 2023, it was $3.10 each. By June 2025, they closed permanently. I miss Rika's empanadas. I hope the chef is still baking them somewhere else. If so, please let me know.

The toppings were generous and very flavorful, and the crust enhanced the toppings. This Four Seasons Pizza was perfect and convenient. Everyone in my family got what they wanted.Finally, I got nutella Sweet crepe (5/5) for dessert. It had nice texture and the chocolate hazelnut was rich and creamy. This place is hands down one of my favorite spots for an açaí bowl. I stopped in for dine-in and ordered the açaí bowl along with some cheese bread and everything tasted super authentic. The açaí was smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet, just how it should be. The toppings were fresh and well-balanced. The cheese bread was also a great add-on warm, cheesy, and perfect on the side. What really makes this place stand out is the service. The guys taking the orders are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.
