I initially came here, paid to get a Smog test done, but the car didn't pass. I was told directly from the owner that I can bring my car back at any time, as many times necessary until it passes. He told me I wouldn't have to pay for it again. It took me a couple months to get back to bringing it but I still had my receipt so I thought I would be fine. When I came back his worker was there, and this is where I have an issue. Because if the standard is to charge people once they pass, even after they paid the initial fee then fine do that. But instead he looked at me and asked me why I took so long to bring it back (does it matter? It's my car??) & he asked "did he [the owner] ever say how much you have to pay" wtf? Umm do you guys not have my receipt and know the protocol? Is this a person by person basis? This was very shady and unprofessional. He then calls said owner, and tells me he will charge me. I was charged $20 total, $10 for service and I forgot what the other $10 was for but it made no sense. I wouldn't come here again, because they aren't outright with their prices and don't have them posted anywhere, so they can charge what they want when they feel like it. Not cool. read more

I went there to get a smog test. They charged me a Electronic Transfer Fee to the DMV which is against the law. I reported it to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. They refused to refund me. Not recommended, go elsewhere! read more

Of o could give this place no stats I would. Do not ever come here if you need a smog. I called this morning around 8:30 to co firm they were a star test only station and the guy who answered the phone said: there's only ONE kind of smog and we can do it... when I proceeded to ask about star certified, he was demeaning, rude and said they didn't open until 9:00 am. I should have taken the hint, but my dumb ass proceeded to drive to the center thinking I would have a different experience.... Wrong, wrong and wrong. I drove up to what looks like an auto repair shop and spoke to a gentleman who was very nice and told me the smog service people did not get there I til 9 and to drive my car around d the back which is dis. By 9:05, it didn't appear like anyone was open to conduct smogs so I called the previous number. The guy told me, we open at 9:00 but by the time I called it was already 9:05 which o told him.... He proceeded to tell me, I'm not the scheduled service tech and I don't know what else to tell you but to wait. I asked wait on my car or on the mechanic waiting area and he said wherever you wanna wait... I asked when the tech would be there and he could not provide an answer but continued to say well we open at 9 ... I told him it was past 9 and he could not offer Any solution and was so rude. Save your money and time, DO NOT GO TO THIS SMoG SHOP. I ended up GOINGto a spot behind Erik's tires on Ramona and they were very helpful and super sweet. read more

We picked up a new car last week, and thought we needed a smog check asap to do a title transfer that same day at dmv with the seller. Cesar helped us out and actually spent a lot of time trying to help us. In the end, we ended up not needing the smog, and he didn't charge us even though he wasted a lot of time already trying to do it for us. This is the 3rd time I bring my car to Cesar and this time he try rob me of $250 .If your vehicle failed to smog test.they going to tell you that your cathalic converter are bad.replacing is to expensive. And they going to tell you that if you want I can fix that just leave your car for one day and $250. your vehicle is going to pass from smog test. What I do I checked with my OBDll and it shows the core pack and sparkplug on 1 and 2 are bad .so I replaced it with 4 new spark plug and core pack worth total of $60 . And then I'll bring it to different smog test location and it was pass. No question asked. read more

Also, this is a "star certified" center which DMV often requires so if you do need star certified for your renewal you can't go wrong here.
