I need a new HVAC system. A/C girl came to my home to give an estimate. She said she would send me the estimate the following day. I was very interested and excited to receive my estimate. When I didn't hear anything for a few days, I reached back out asking when I might expect my estimate. I got no response back. Since then, I've also tried to call, as well as text. No response. It's nice to have someone as professional as Laura taking care of me. She came to the rescue a few years back when I was out vacationing of town to fix a system failure on my rental. I used Laura to completely replace a roof-mount system on the other unit next door for what I consider a very fair price a few years later. I've had her over recently to do a service call on my residence too and brought my A/C back to life when it wasn't blowing really cold. Do not contact these people. You will get ignored and you will get stood up. Our landlord recommended these people and the first two times they came out they were fairly prompt. We were expecting a visit from the yesterday and was completely ghosted. They did not call to let us know they were not going to make it. They simply did not show up and refused to answer any of our calls or texts as well as the landlord who called Laura's personal number. The first two visits Laura came and refilled the coolant mind you the vists were a month apart. If you had to again refill the coolant in a months time you would think they would look into why they had to refill the coolant twice in a months time. We have been having to endure this brutal heat without any ac due to the unprofessional ways of these people. The worst customer service have ever experienced and that says a lot because Comcast is terrible but these people take the cake. A/C Girl came out to service our residential system in June while the weather was mild. In August, we realized the system wasn't pumping cold air like it should [in 100+ degree weather]. As a resident of a home where AC girls put in AC/Heat, I just gave notice to my landlord today because of their company. This is the 3rd years they've left me without AC during a major heatwave. I have a heart condition and my pets were suffering in 96 degrees inside my home and they didn't answer their phone all weekend. It's Monday at 8:15 and the voicemail box is still full. The heat went out last winter and it was 56 in my house then. They installed the main unit without anywhere to put in filters, so they spent a day carving holes in the ceiling. My previous review of AC GIRL was just too much for AC GIRL and my review was pulled off. However, I have a bill to prove AC GIRL came to my house after misrepresenting the estimated cost of air conditioning service OVER THE PHONE in order to make the appointment and then stick me with an unconscionable bill. I have filed a complaint with the California Contractor's Board which is now pending investigation. There are better A/C contractors out there and I cannot recommend the services of AC GIRL to anyone. read more

AC Girl was assigned by my home warranty company to repair my air conditioning, which was barely working. They were supposed to call me within 24 hours to set an appointment. No call. I called them three times at two different numbers and left messages. My home warranty company (who I love, they are great) called them several times as well and got no response. Finally got a call back a couple days later. They had no record of my service request. The administrator person said maybe the home warranty company had called Laura directly. Well, whatever. That's not a real good excuse. They were unable to schedule me within the time frame that my home warranty company had promised. At this point my home warranty company offered to set me up with a different company. I thought, hey, they've got great Yelp reviews, so it must just be a fluke, I'll go with AC Girl, let's just get this done. Finally got an appointment set a couple days ago. Their tech person did show up on time, no problem there. He assessed the system, said that the compressor fan was on backwards, and set about fixing it. Then he said the filter drier needed to be replaced. It is a part that has to be special ordered. He said maybe they could get the part same day, or at the very least next day. He promised to call when it came in and set an appointment. In the meantime, my AC is totally disconnected. So now my AC has gone from barely working to unusable. Two days later, I am calling a few different numbers trying to get a response. Nothing. My AC is still disconnected and it's going to be 104 this weekend. This service call has gone on way, way longer then it should have, and I am disgusted that I can't even get a hold of a person or get a call back. I should add that each person *except the owner* I have dealt with there has been unfailingly polite, apologetic, and seemingly willing to assist. My guess is that they are a good crew, just super overloaded in this heat wave. But again, that's not a real good excuse for letting people fall through the cracks. Last Saturday I had a 10 am appointment with Laura, the owner. I took a chunk out of my day off to wait for this person. No show. No call, no nothing, and no response to my voicemail. I had long since given up on her when she phoned at 4:30 pm to ask if I was at home. No apology, no nothing. I told her she's off the job. Her response was just a chirpy "OK, Bye!" and a hangup. Our first a/c contractor said we needed a new compressor, but AC Girl quickly resolved that the problem was the batteries in the thermostat! I loves me some AC Girl! I am a Realtor, and on several occasions she has outsmarted other repair companies and inspectors, saving my clients thousands. For example, one repair service rep came down from the attic and told my client that there were cracks in her heat exchange and that it could leak carbon monoxide and kill her. He showed her pictures to prove it, and recommended replacing the entire unit. I told her to get a second opinion from the AC girl. Laura went up and checked it out, came down and said that not only weren't there any cracks, but that the unit was still under warranty, so even if there were, the manufacturer would replace it. Oh, and the pictures she showed were of a different unit than the scammer from the other company showed. On another occasion, a home inspector told my buyer that the AC needed to be replaced. It was a bank-owned property and the bank wasn't going to pay for it, so that left it up to the buyer. Again, I asked Laura to check it out. Turns out it needed some sort of capacitor thingy, and she replaced the thermostat, too. I think it was an $85 repair. She's also done work on my home and for others I've referred her to. She is a wonderful person. BTW, she hired someone to handle her phone calls because she was overwhelmed, and she's no resolved that issue. read more

Laura, aka: A.C. Girl, just left my home after yet again restoring heat/air conditioning to our home. Laura has been our "go to" person for all our hvac needs for three years now. She has saved us an extreme amount of money with her honest and integrious assessment of our hvac problems. Her customer service and communication skills are exemplary. She's been easy to reach when we've needed her service and now she has Rachel in the office, who is following Laura's excellent "good customer service" example. We first met Laura when we called her to give us a "second" opinion. Our air conditioner was not working and we had another hvac company come out and provide servicing. The result of this servicing was a technician that told us we needed a new air conditioning unit - to the tune of $$$$$. We didn't feel comfortable with the assessment since our unit was only about 10 years old. Laura came out and in 15 minutes gave us a completely different diagnosis: a simple igniter type switch had gone out and it was a piece that really wasn't necessary to have the unit properly function. Subsequent visits have been for minor type repairs, that I believe, another company would probably have "gouged" us. My gosh... I am so impressed with the caring and quality of AC Girls! I own a senior care home and our AC went out in the week of 100 degree weather. Yes they were slammed with service requests but cared enough about our seniors to make it happen on the same day. The first time she came out she said that she thought that our heater (in the house when we bought it) was probably still under warranty and called the manufacturer and had the entire cost covered for us, which was a very pleasant surprise.
