The ease of scheduling an appointment and the comfort and privacy of the office are conducive to a helpful and healing environment and experience. They do accept insurance, but make sure you mention it when you call to schedule the first time because it may make a difference in who you see. When you come in the first time, come 15 minutes early or so to fill out the paperwork; it may be waiting for you on a clip board since everyone may be in session and they don't have a full-time receptionist. (But I find that for this kind of therapy, some times it's better to not have to interact with anyone but the therapist). My kids and I see Michelle Dean and have had a year of emotional and physical healing through her therapy sessions. EVERYONE can benefit from counseling, never underestimate the power of talk therapy. The counselors have so many techniques and so much insight into so many situations. Your situation is not too complicated or too far gone to be addressed and on its way to healing. **Update: While the Greer & Associates Staff are wonderful, Michelle Dean is now at Connections Wellness and we have moved over to CW in Corinth with her. Therapy can be a "taboo" subject for some people but if you're in need of help/guidance- give them a try! I go to Kelby every other week and she's been amazing for me and my growth. All the staff has always been super friendly and make sure you feel comfortable. They take most insurance companies as well- so it's very affordable as well ! (I know I was worried that it would be pricey- and it wasn't at all!)!

I cannot possibly express my gratitude for the wonderful providers I have worked with in personal counseling for myself as well as IOP and PHP for a family member. There is not a finer group of health providers anywhere in my estimation. That being said, my experience with the patient interface has been very challenging at times. It's hard to imagine how a company can provide the breadth of services they do, comply with all regulations, guard individual privacy AND remain profitable. Ideally one could get seamless care, especially when in mental health distress. The reality is that, for most of us, a state of mental health distress makes otherwise-ordinary problems much harder to navigate. I believe that, for the service they are trying to offer in a complex regulatory environment, they do a good job. As a person with learning differences, I have learned that I have to allow more time than one might think to deal with situations that can be tricky for me. Sometimes you have to stop and take a breath. Sometimes you'll need to find some patience or ask for help. How did I learn those skills? Through years of counseling and doing my best to walk the walk daily. It might not be easy to get started, but friend, I promise that investing in your mental health is worth it. These are good people who want to help. I highly recommend Connections Wellness Group.

We ended our weekly sessions with Jason back in October 2019, but felt we needed a check-in with everything going on in the world. My son has been a bit anxious and feeling out of sorts. This week's session was just what he needed and we plan to check back in in a couple months as Jason's schedule allows. Here's a bit of some history when my son saw Jason weekly from February - October 2019. Jason changed our lives. He was exactly what we needed and what my son needed. After Brain Balance and family therapy proved unsuccessful, a psychologist recommended a play therapist for our then 7-year-old son. After an extensive search for the perfect fit (someone who was knowledgeable working with boys likely with ADD, ODD, anxiety, impulsivity, and a bit depressive), we found Jason! We love Jason so much that we traveled 30 miles to his new location for our check in. My son adores him. He is fun, positive, always happy, and genuinely loves what he does. We have seen a huge change in our son (even a year after weekly therapy sessions ended). Jason took the time to educate us as well (using the ACT model), and my husband and I feel better equipped to work through any episodes. This year has been the best year we've had as a family in a really, really long time and we have Jason to thank for that!

Sometimes there is so much intensity at home, having fun seems like a lot of work! I believe that understanding how your kids work and how you work helps you find that dream again. It takes you from struggling into a role of empowering them and yourself. Then you can each take your place in the kind of family culture you want. If you live in or near the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and you are ready to take the first step toward that, I'd love to help!

She recommended EMDR but kept saying she needed more time with me/more information. This was after seeing her for about 3 months during the summer. Weekly appointments at $200. I think she has a lot of insight and is very smart, but if you're like me and value promptness and a little more effort on the emotional side. I do not think she is a good fit for you. She was continually late, but made sure to always get me out at my time. I'm tired of their time being valuable and mine not..... Or maybe if she is really busy she might need to stop accepting new patients. We didn't end on bad terms. But, I just got a charge on my CC a year later for an appt that she forgot to charge. I don't appreciate the unprofessionalism especially when you're paying so much.
