I had my first massage with the amazing Miss Kim a couple of days ago…read more I am so grateful she was able to fit me in her schedule. I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.

She was so professional, despite the fact that my dog was there crying for attention. I came away feeling pampered and relaxed, but also could tell that she actually assisted with my stiff muscles. I have had massages in the past that were relaxing, but I didn't see lasting improvement in my tension level. Or I have had massages where the person worked my muscles deeply, but I came away sore and feeling a bit beaten up. Somehow Jesika is always able to help me relax while also accomplishing a lasting effect without any unwanted soreness. I was so excited that At Peace Massage opened a physical location. While the concept of receiving a massage in my own home seems very appealing, the fact is that my lifestyle (with an 8 year old son and 1 year old dog) doesn't provide a relaxing environment. So her new spa location is PERFECT for me. I enjoyed the addition of hot towels to my treatment this time and look forward to her maybe using hot stones or something in the future, since I noticed she seemed to have that equipment. I highly recommend her!!!!

I almost started by saying "treat yo self" to a massage with Jesika, but that's not accurate. It's…read moremore like if you exercise hard or are a human being, "you need to come here regularly". I kickbox at ILKB in the same plaza and was ironically referred to Jesika by another masseuse that moved to a different state. Exercising along with my weird sleeping postures has my body begging for something besides foam rolling at home with my dogs all over my face. Naturally after the first appointment, I had some concerns and improvements that I relaid in the follow up email survey her system sends. To my surprise, she has handled each one with every follow up appointment. For example, I thought the lights were too bright, especially when you flip over and face upwards. I've noticed she turns down the lights at that moment. I also thought a heated eye mask would feel much more comfortable, and she remembers to add a heated towel instead of just covering my eyes. Lastly, I had concerns with confirming appointments because I never received confirmation emails after the first appointment. However, she responds to texts within probably 30 minutes and is just extremely professional overall. I recommend Jesika to all my gym buddies and hope they come! Your body will thank you!

As much…read moreas we wanted to enjoy the experience, our massages were somewhat painful and personally, I am more sore after the massage than I was before. Same with my boyfriend. Even after two verbal exchanges where I said she could go lighter on pressure, it was still pretty rough and my body was tense over 75% of the time. My masseuse's nails were also a touch long so on occasion, it felt as though I was getting scratched. I cannot speak on my boyfriend's experience as much but I do know he said he would have preferred more of a gentle massage with longer strokes to ease out the knots and kinks in his back and shoulders. I am unclear if it is the massage we picked that was the problem, but regardless, we both left feeling unsatisfied, unfortunately. I have been hesitant to even leave this review but I feel it important to share at least. I would be sure to talk to your masseuse about what exactly you're looking for -- I do believe we are at some fault for not being clear what we wanted, although there was never really a time to discuss it.

Let's start with check-in, we were promptly greeted by the front desk that offered us water and wine as we filled out of waivers and waited for our masseuses to be ready. We were then taken into our perspective rooms and the beds were HUGE- definitely the biggest massage bed I've ever been in. It was also heated and the pillow was scented, a great start to my day of relaxation before the massage even started. This was my first Thai massage and I don't know if I can ever go back to a typical Swedish. From the back stepping to the stretching, I left the table feeling incredibly relaxed.

I just checked out - I've been here 12x for different reasons. To be fair, I will list the pros &…read morecons. Pros: some staff - like Nurse Chris, Cheryl, Sarah, Charles. There are staff and doctors that do care, whether you are in for detox, mental health or both. My week went fine until Saturday hit. Cons: weekend staff - mostly the techs. Some techs find it funny when a patient self harms. When I punch a wall, instead of being met with something to make my anger go down, the techs all laughed at me. They have ZERO business being mental health techs at a mental health facility if you LAUGH AND/OR TALK SHIT about patients when you think we can't hear you while we are supposed to be asleep. That's shameful. The nurse practitioner on the weekends? A JOKE. She can't write new meds or mess with controlled substances. She has NO BUSINESS working in a place where you can't do that because I needed a LOT of meds changed on Saturday. And she changed nothing. Wouldn't even let me take magnesium for no reason. She kicked me out of the room when I was doesn't done with my questions and my insurance pays YOU! She went to help other patients and then help me last. She even escorted the patients to lunch bc "they must be hungry it's lunchtime." Am I not a person? Do I not need lunch? It was WORTHLESS talking to her. CS needs actual doctors on the weekends. Saturdays therapist locked me out of group bc she "didn't see me". Patients told me they kept telling her that I was behind the door. Then Sunday rolls around, the same techs are working. They decided to mess with me and put on the Meadows Unit. (There are 4 units). The meadows unit is where the COMPLETE CRAZIES are. You should not put a trauma patient on that unit EVER!!!! There was such loud kicking and screaming and breaking property. Anyway, it was a power trip and it was fucked up but I left the place. I'm unhappy this time around with what I stated above, but appreciate the good. Do better CS

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Collin Springs…read more As a parent with a court order granting me access to my child's medical information, I was repeatedly denied basic communication regarding my daughter's treatment and discharge. My calls were ignored, my questions went unanswered, and it took nearly a week to receive a response to a simple email. This is not just poor service--it raises serious concerns about compliance and patient rights. When I showed up in person, the situation got worse. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive. I asked to speak with a therapist or someone in charge and was told to wait. I sat in the lobby for over an hour, only to find out that staff had left while knowing I was there waiting. That level of avoidance is both unprofessional and concerning. During this process, I also spoke with another parent whose child experienced similar "treatment"--which appeared to consist largely of children sitting in a room for hours with little meaningful engagement. That is not acceptable for a facility entrusted with overnight mental health care for minors. At no point did Collin Springs make any effort to: * Communicate clearly * Include me as a parent * Provide reassurance about my child's care Getting basic information felt like pulling teeth the entire time. What's most telling is that after failing to communicate throughout my child's stay, they had no issue reaching out when it came time for billing. This facility showed a lack of transparency, professionalism, and respect for parental rights. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution any parent to think twice before trusting this place with their child's care. Avoid this facility if you have other options.
