Five star service!!! I went in as a out of towner, staying for a week, that knew nothing. Their…read morefood selection was on point but more importantly every employee I came across was super helpful. They provided useful tips for staying in town, what to see/where to go, and a few people even chimed in on where to avoid. I'm usually better at getting names so shame on me for that, but particularly helpful were the deli lady and the Starbucks girls, all of whom were working the morning of 12/26 at 10 am (hopefully that helps their bosses recognize them) The prices seemed good but admittedly I was in vacation mode (where money doesn't matter until you come home) and the service was top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay out of the men's room!! There were some shady dealings going down in the men's room

To be clear, the customer service staff is the worst part of this location…read more During the daytime, there are two Black ladies (one named Nia, and unfortunately I didn't catch the other's name), and in the evening there is a Black guy with braids. All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.

It's a typical Krogers (a reasonable facsimile to a Safeway); fairly clean and well stocked with…read morepretty much anything you'd need. The staff here is a little annoying at times, since they're doing a "donate to a local student scholarship drive", and the cashiers guilt-trip you (and they're fairly persistent) into donating. And when you do contribute, they broadcast it throughout the store. I get it's for a good cause, and I hate to be "that guy", but it is a little irritating after a while. On the plus side, the self-checkout attendants are usually fairly helpful and attentive, so that's good. The last time I wanted to check out, all of the registers were closed, so the self-checkout line was over a dozen people/carts long (thankfully two rows of self-checkout made the line dwindle fairly quickly). Another two lanes of self-checkout were opened at the other end of the store, but there were at least 3-4 attendants at the self-checkout lanes, so I'm curious as to why nobody was manning the actual registers. Finally, as I was leaving, two of the staff were having a casual non-work conversation, blocking the exit, so I asked them politely to move for my cart. They did so, but muttered under their breath for me to use the other exit. It was rather rude, since not only is that not appropriate customer service, but my car was parked at the other end of the parking lot, and the exit was right in front of me, which they were blocking. Overall, Krogers itself is great. You can probably find whatever you're looking for there, even if it might not be food, and for reasonable prices. But the staff and service don't always make your shopping experience a positive one.

I placed a grocery delivery order with Kroger totaling approximately $108, scheduled for delivery…read morebetween 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. Unfortunately, only a small fraction of my order arrived, leaving me without nearly everything I had purchased. After spending approximately 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, I was informed that the missing groceries had not made it onto the delivery truck and could not be delivered. The only resolution offered was a refund for the missing items. I understand that mistakes happen. Missing an item or substituting an unavailable product is understandable. But failing to deliver the overwhelming majority of a paid order is an entirely different situation. I had already paid for delivery, arranged my morning around its arrival, and expected to have groceries available to prepare breakfast. Instead, I was left without what I needed, forced to spend additional time resolving Kroger's mistake, and faced with placing another order and paying another delivery fee to obtain the groceries I had already purchased. When I asked about Kroger's policy for handling situations like this, I was told it was an internal policy that could not be shared with me. I also requested management assistance, but no stateside manager was available. My expectation was simple: acknowledge the mistake, take ownership of it, and make a reasonable effort to deliver the missing groceries promptly. If that was impossible, a full refund, including the original delivery fee, would have been an appropriate starting point. Customers pay for grocery delivery for convenience, reliability, and peace of mind. When the service fails this significantly, simply refunding the merchandise that was never delivered does not address the inconvenience, wasted time, or additional expense created by that failure. This is not about punishing Kroger for an honest mistake. It is about accountability and the expectation that a company offering a paid delivery service should stand behind that service. My concern extends beyond my personal experience. Any customer relying on Kroger for groceries, especially someone with limited transportation, mobility challenges, or a busy schedule, could find themselves in the same situation. A mistake is understandable. An unwillingness to meaningfully correct it is what turns a mistake into a lost customer.
