Such a disappointment! We were so excited based on the menu and the glowing reviews. We came for…read moreTiger Pizza and Brisket Tacos. After we sat down at the bar, we were told they did not have brisket so the Tiger Pizza and Brisket Tacos were not an option as advertised. Disappointed of course, but these things happen, especially with house made brisket. We were still looking forward to see what else was on the menu. I ordered the Poppers because my son was excited by the Bacon Habanero Jam that was supposed to be served with the appetizer. Unfortunately, it was served with some ranch dressing type sauce without being told about the switch. It was not great and obviously not what we ordered or what was described on the menu. We also tried the Dune Bird appetizer. It could not be served as initially advertised either as no brisket was available, so they used pulled pork which seemed like a good option. Although I appreciated the Smokey Flavor of the pork, the consistency was a bit like baby food with the corn bread super dry even though it was covered by an overly salty (canned?) really thin gravy. We moved on to the entrees as we ordered two orders of the walleye tacos. We also asked for sides of the Sweet Pea Pasta Salad as well and were told they only had enough for one side and we needed to pick a different second side. (This was early on a Saturday night so the lack of ingredients to make many of the item on the menu was odd as I assume Saturday night could be a busy night?) After we were served our tacos we were shocked to receive tacos that were 90% filled with a really bad version of "Kentucky Fried Chicken" cole slaw that was supposed to be "Cilantro Lime Slaw". (Absolutely no cilantro and no lime by the way.) After scraping the cole slaw away we found two small pieces of water logged walleye with no flavor or seasoning that may have been at the bottom of a freezer earlier in the summer. (My wife took one bite and unhappily left the bar to look at their nice gift shop and did not return.) The reason I gave 2 Stars instead of 1 Star was that our server was fantastic. She could not have been more charming and attentive. If I go back (my wife told me she won't), it will be because of our server and the promise of great brisket that was once available previously. If you don't want to prepare for customers off season, then close down from November thru April and do it right for the "Locals" from May until October. But don't do what you did tonight. It is not fair to your servers, kitchen and especially your paying customers.

They were patient with our group of 9 and made wonderful recommendations and substitutions when they ran out of salad at the end of the night. Star dish was the walleye tacos. Fresh and light. I could have eaten two more! We went back the next day to get them again, they were THAT good!

His helper burst through my house to get water after REPEATEDLY being told to stay out of my home and find my fiancé to show him the hose as the house was closed off to vendors and guests. He set up his "walk way" in front of the opening of the tent that everyone used to get into the event. He felt it was only for him to walk there as if he had a God complex even thought it was the main opening of the tent. He repeatedly yelled at guests. He did not leave any food for the bride and groom even though he was specifically asked to do so. The final straw was when he forcefully shoved my 7 year old niece out of his "walk way" while screaming at her to move. As for his food it was horrendous! The mystery meat was cold, bland, and gray. He didn't have enough serving equipment prepared. His "famous cupcakes" looked as if a child had done them. Overall, he and his food were a disappointment and left NOTHING to rave about.

We hired Mark to cater our event in June. 1-1/2 hours before our event, we received an EMAIL, not a…read morephone call, that they would NOT be coming. That left us scrambling to provide food for 100 guests. He returned our deposit however no apology or message was included. So NO, I DO NOT recommend this business! Unfortunately I had to begrudgingly give him one star.

We planned a fun,…read moretapas-style menu with her over the summer, which we paired with wines from Forty-Five North. Everything turned out exceptionally well - Peggy doesn't do "wedding food", she does FOOD, which our guests found refreshing and delicious. She even made enough for leftovers, which we enjoyed throughout the next week! You will not be disappointed if you hire her!

Beware of the price!!!!!!!…read more I contacted Ethnic Garden Catering to prepare food for a bridal party of 10 women as they were having their hair and nails done. When we spoke on the phone, I was impressed with Peggy's ideas for a simple grazing meal of lettuce wraps, Caprese skewers, fruit and dip, brie in bite sized phylo cups, open faced pork tenderloin sliders, and shortbread cookies. I asked her the price and she said, "It will be about $100 or so, plus $25 per hour service fee." I thought the final bill would be about $200, or $20 per person, which seemed about right for a light grazing meal. The food was all delicious - no doubt. Peggy set up and cleaned up and was with us for about two hours. Imagine my surprise when Peggy handed me a bill for $1185.00. That's right - - - one thousand one hundred and eight five dollars for a light snack for 10 girls. I thought she made a mistake and asked her about it. She said the cost was $100 PER PERSON. I am very certain she never said this on the phone, and I would never have used her if I knew that were the price. My mistake was not insisting on getting her bid in writing. While the food was tasty, the whole experience was ruined because of he unreasonable price.
