I was driving with my brand new fiancee down M22 and we saw a sign for snow tubing, so we punched up Timberlee Hills in Google Maps and made our way over there. The "banquet hall" is pretty sad, but I don't know how comparable it is to other options in Traverse City. The main attraction is a sweet snow tubing hill. I think we paid $12/person for an hour of tubing action. Their website says it's $14 for one hour or $24 for two hours with a $1 discount per person if you pay cash. http://timberleehills.com/snow-tubing/ Select your tube, walk over to the lift and a guy will hook you to a cable. When you get to the top, you have to roll out while another guy removes the tube from the cable. Find a spot you like, wait for the employee to give the all-clear, then go racing down the hill at top speed! It's tons of fun and you can do lots of variations. Go down while you sit, go down lying on your stomach, face-first, go down with your tow rope tying you to a friend's tube, ask the guy to spin you. There's endless fun to be had here. Within my one-hour time slot, I went down seven times. This is a fantastic, family-friendly way to burn an hour or two when you're in Traverse City. Highly recommended.

    Very nice place!

Good old fashioned fun at a reasonable price. Great family atmosphere. Mike and his team are top shelf and make the experience memorable.

The lift is actually pretty cool because it tows you up the hill while you're sitting in your tube.

We were able to find some…read moreapples, but most of the fruit such as apples, peaches, pears, and cherries was already picked over, so I'd recommend going earlier in the season. It was a little confusing at first since no one was around to guide us, but a kind staff member eventually helped. You pay after picking by Venmo, cash drop box, or at the bar. Just note that if you pay at the bar, tax is added. They had live music while we were there, the pizza smelled amazing, and the cider options at the bar were great. They also have a corn maze, which looked fun, though my husband chickened out thanks to Children of the Corn . Overall, it's a good family spot. Just plan your visit early for the best fruit-picking experience!

My Fiancé got a vodka, blueberry honey, lemon and lavender cocktail and said it was phenomenal. I got a Terra Firma Red, great beer from a local brewery. We didn't sample the food on this visit, but the people around us were loving on the pizza, which looked amazing, and the rest of the menu looked fantastic as well. My brother and his wife say the food is outstanding as well. Live music on the weekends in a beautiful setting. Don't forget to go through the corn maze when it opens as well. We will definitely make this stop again when we visit up north.

(I'd recommend reservations since the space is cozy/small.) I've really enjoyed this owners other establishment, Red Spire Brunch House, so I knew this would be great as well. We were greeted by the host and the Chad the owner and shown our seats. Our server quickly arrived with water and then coffee shortly after that. I had perused the menu online and was pretty sure I'd be ordering the breakfast burrito, but I was definitely intrigued by the Quiche Lorraine and a few of their omelettes. The Cobb Salad sounded delicious as well. I stuck with my original choice, the burrito! Stuffed with house made chorizo, queso cheese, onion, poblano, eggs wrapped in a flour tortilla, served with a side of chipotle mayo and hash browns, it was perfect. Seasoned well, big enough to be filling, but not so large that I couldn't finish it, I enjoyed every bite. The ambiance was bright, friendly, and inviting. There was the buzz and excitement of a newer place, but also, a familiar feel of a place that had been a local favorite forever. The staff knew several customer's names, the patrons greeted other diners and neighboring tables, it was all lovely. I will definitely be visiting again next time we're in downtown Traverse City.

Atmosphere - I want to say similar to when this was the Greenhouse cafe, a lil tight, can be an average volume. I like how they reoriented, changed the seating and interior. I think it just felt tight since I sat at the bar. If you aren't a skinny Minnie, that ain't me babe, iykyk. Solid brunch spot. I think they own Red Spire, over at the GT Commons. I love the Commons but I haven't dined there cause it's always packed. Or, maybe I am just waiting for patio season.
