I really wanted to like this place. I went on day when it was empty. We waited for almost two hours for our food. I couldn't understand why we waited that long. I do not mind waiting if it was packed or someone kept us informed. We had to keep asking the waitress. The food was okay.

Came here on a Wednesday night it was dead, music was cool and everyone was pretty much chilling. This is an older crowd spot, if you're looking for an African Sugar daddy this is the place to go. They don't have hookah which sucks but the food from what I tasted was yummy. Would come again.

I was looking for some great food, great music and strong liquor. Abuja hit the nail on the head for all 3!!!!

It was my first time dining here. The bartender, Mia, suggested anything from the grill so I chose the salmon with the fried rice & a side of spinach. The salmon was a little dry. The rice was tasty & the spinach delicious. I would definitely try it again.

Perfect seasoning. Perfect spice. Fresh fish. Best grilled fish nicely done Cameroonian style!

I try to give Abuja a shot, chance after chance. I ordered, a very simple, Jollof rice with goat meat. As a Nigerian, who has eatin this dish probably hundreds of times, I expect nothing but great jollof rice (especially given the constant talk for the throne - vs Ghana, Senegal, etc). However, Abuja never has listened to m numerous simple plea over the months: JOLLOF RICE WITH GOAT MEAT SHOULD HAVE STEW IN IT. I SHOULD NOT have to worry about choking on very dry rice especially given it's a small plate for $22!!!! The least you can do is put ATLEAST ONE SPOON OF STEW. What's more appalling is I've been a customer since the days the dish used to cost $16, then $18, then $20, then $22. Owner: if you're going to raise the price, please atleast make the food digestible, and not feel like I have to chug cold Gatorade after every bite. The saddest part is when I ask the operator over the phone to please make sure there's stew, he promised there will be! On top of that, he said it'd be an extra $2, for a side cup of stew!!! Please don't raise the price and also start charging for ingredients that are originally supposed to be part of the dish! I'm giving Abuja one more shot, or else they'll unfortunately lose a long time customer. - disappointed customer

This place used to be my favorite but it's hit or miss. Found a long piece of purplish hair in my food today. Pissed so disappointing. Won't be eating here again!

Food was great. Service was pretty decent. My only complain was the prices. This meal I found to be a bit pricey.

My husband and I frequent this place a lot. We mostly get the Tilapia and Jollof and he likes their Attieke. Their fish pepper soup is really good too. I like their beef stew and he likes their fried beef. The food is priced with the ambiance. Our food costs about $40 for the two of us without tip and drinks. The wait for calling in your order is 40 minutes minimum. Entrance during the day is through the front door on Burnet Ave but after hours come through the rear door across from the parking lot. There is street parking available but please do not park in the lot before 10 pm or risk getting ticketed and/or towed. It is usually packed on the weekends and they are open until 2 am. The lighting is great and the dj is really good. Bathrooms are very clean as well. They have a few big screens and a wall projector for game nights. I recommend this place to all my Nigerian friends.

This tiny unassuming African spot on the Main Street in Springfield is one such establishment. If you asked me where the very best grilled chicken I could have is I would point you here and tell you to ignore the fact that it was African, if you asked me for the very best African food I would say there are many great places and this is one of the absolute best! Karen, the owner and chef and Emanuel her brother are kind and well versed in hospitality, a fact that her formal and informal training will prove if you are fortunate enough to meet them. The spices, the smells and the flavors are what Africa is known for and the first thing they will tell you is that everything is cooked to order so don't expect it to just be ready but I promise you it's worth twice the amount of time (it wasn't too long by the way) and you truly feel as though you have been invited into their home. With no hyperbole this is not just some of the very best African food I've had it's some of the very best food I've ever had and I cannot wait to return.

They use a lot of garlic on everything. It was a one and done. If you enjoy garlic, then it's for you. Restaraunt itself smells bad. It's not the most hygienic place. It's very a mom and pop, hole in the wall kinda place. I wouldn't dine in because of the smell.

There was no acknowledgment of me even entering the space and no direction on ordering. After figuring it out, I ordered my food, I also informed them I would be eating in then took my seat directly across from the register with my drink. I watched people come and go and still nothing, Eye contact was made with the man on the register gesturing a questioning "where's my food" which he said he was checking and it would be ready shortly. After an hour and 15 minutes and my again, approaching the register, they grabbed a bag from the side. I payed full price for the items and reminded them it was eat-in. At this point I'm over it! A half hearted apology was offered from someone that emerged from the back/ kitchen area. I just took my items to eat at home. When I it to my car in the back, someone comes out with a patty in a brown bag for my wait. That said, the service was not good and took way from the entire experience. OMG, the chicken Suya was 10/10, while the beef was 9/10. 2) Their jollof rice was good, but I had better. 3) Their meat pie is also a must get. It is Nigerian style meat pie, slightly different from the British style most people are used to. 4) Down side is their service, which is very poor. Come here for takeout only. You will enjoy the food.
