The project took a little over four days with a full day of curing the mud and sealants. I started reaching out to them and finally got a projected start date of late Sept. 2020 at the end of July, 2020. As we got into the middle and late August, I tried to reach out to them again to get a firmer start date. After numerous attempts by me they finally responded in the second week of September that they would not be able to follow through with the late September start date. I was told they could do the job next Spring! They stated that due to CoVid they had laid off half their work force! I understand that CoVid has created huge effects in our personal lives and economy. However, I noticed that other companies are responding and continuing to take on work. Ren-O-Paint's decision and late communication with me forced me to immediately search and find a company willing to take on my house painting. Fortunately, I was able to succeed finding someone and will get my house painted when I wanted it done and not to Ren-O-Paint's schedule. I was very anxious about the process and probably sent him more emails with questions than he cared for, but he always wrote back in a timely manner, answering any and all questions I had. Phil finished the floors more quickly than I had thought they would be done. I also required carpet removal and floor patching. He was very willing to remove the carpet and he flawlessly patched the floors. The patches were indistinguishable from the rest of the flooring! His attention to detail is outstanding. The floors were PERFECT. (until the movers came to move the furniture back, but that's another review for another time.) Post job, I saw what I thought was an issue that needed to be addressed. Phil came out to examine the problem. It turned out to be something inherent in the piece of wood, I felt bad wasting his time to come back out, but he reassured me that my peace of mind was important. I wish all contractors were like that! An hour after Phil left from examining my floors, the movers came and put several scratches in it. Disappointing, for sure. I wrote Phil to ask if there was anything I could do to minimize the damage, He, again, was quick to respond and had a solution on the ready. I am truly grateful for that! First of all he is honest and will come out to assess exactly what you are looking to do. We had him completely finish our basement, and he took extra care to ensure that attention to detail was implemented throughout. Since our basement was in a older home (built in 1922) you know how tough it can be to remodel. But billy made sure to provide access areas to the crawl space, fire place, and perfectly sectioned off my storage and laundry rooms. Secondly, this guy is patient. If you have done a renovation before then you know that it can be very stressful. Billy was great at talking us through our options as surprises arose and was always very cost conscious with the options he provided. We now have an amazing basement studio, fully finished laundry room, 2nd bathroom, and storage room. We literally found use for every inch of space downstairs, which is what we were hoping for since our main floor is only 900 sq ft. We now have an additional 550 sq ft.
