Fast Patch Drywall Company - Shed drywall project

    Fast Patch Drywall Company

Had a very small area of drywall that needed to be repaired/painted after a mishap from another…read morecrew during projector installation. Fast patch responded almost immediately to the Yelp query, provided a quote that was reasonable, and allowed me to schedule promptly. Vincent arrived on time, was extremely polite, and our cat loved him (ultimate test). The work was more complex than anticipated by I still paid the originally quoted rate, the wall looked perfect afterwards, and the surrounding furniture was kept in pristine condition. Highly recommend and will hire them for any future drywall needs.

That alone was concerning, but it got worse from there. They only did work in one room, which they stopped painting the ceiling a foot away from the wall and it is very noticeable. We were then told the complete job would be delayed, and it ended up being put off for two weeks. During that time, we had already moved all of our furniture out of the space, expecting the work to be done--so we were left living in an empty living room for no reason. On the day they were finally supposed to come back and complete the job, which I had planned to show them the poor painting finish, they didn't call to discuss, they just emailed us and said they believed the cracking might be due to a structural issue and that they were no longer comfortable doing the work. At that point, we were back to square one after weeks of inconvenience, with no solution and no accountability. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and last-minute cancellation made this a very disappointing experience.

You know how some companies are so good that you hesitate to post how great they really are because…read moreyou don't want them to get 'too busy' kind of in a selfish way? These guys are that good! I had the chance to work with Snohomish Handyman (Pete and Mark) for three different projects. Project 1-this was our "get to know you" project. I had taken our cedar sauna apart as part of a home project, and had gingerly taken the cedar bits out so that the sauna could be rebuilt. Well, Pete and Mark didn't just put our sauna back together. It was craftsmanship at its best. One would never know that it had ever been taken apart. They even assisted with a design feature improving on my suggestion(s). Project 2-so after our great success with Project 1 I asked Pete if he would help with a list of 'things' that needed doing around our house. Some of these were basic like repairing sink stoppers, installing doorknobs, etc. The biggest of Project 2 was to rebuild our garbage slide in the kitchen which required the mechanical part to be removed from the cabinetry, a new platform built to support the sliding mechanism, and then reinstalling of the mechanism on the new support piece. When Pete did the reinstall, he made several significant improvements that improve things overall. Project 3-Pete and Mark successfully replaced several pieces of fascia on our 30-year-old Lindal solid cedar home, that over the years had started to degrade at the ends. (I think many homeowners are familiar with this phenomenon.) Pete was able to successfully source the necessary high-grade cedar in a very difficult market (pricing, yikes!). They stained the cedar prior to its installation, which meant at least two days of curing. They then installed the fascia board and edging in the areas to be replaced. But they didn't stop there. Pete and Mark custom crafted copper coverage for each piece they replaced. This repair was executed with diligence and expertise, and was beyond the scope of many other crafts people I've spoken with. Note the breadth of the work they completed our residence? They executed repairs of the simple stuff with the same degree of care and attention to detail as they did all the big stuff. They have a broad range of capabilities and expertise and are friendly and easy to work with. I found their pricing model straightforward. So, what's the best part? These are honest, trustworthy, hard-working folks who really want to do a good job for you! So let's keep them busy... But remember, not too busy as we still have a bunch of projects that need completing :-)

We asked Pete for help designing and building a modern looking hogwire fence to replace an old…read morepost-on-pipe decorative fence that was installed on top of a short concrete wall. I was really hoping to avoid damaging the concrete, and Pete came up with a great solution to leave the existing pipe imbedded in the wall, remove the post only, and buy posts that had the core drilled out to put back on to the pipe. This alone saved a considerable amount of time and money in my project and more than paid for his services! Further, he took my really rough drawings and helped improve the design to make it stronger, and had all the expertise to execute the build to a high standard! In the end, I ended up with a fence that looked WAY better than I ever dreamed! I can't recommend Pete enough: he produced excellent work, was willing to teach me (and my curious kiddos!), and was one of the most professional and nicest handymen I've ever hired. I certainly won't hesitate to call him for any other projects that I have coming up.

We recently hired Dahl's Construction to do some drywall work at our home, about 3000 square feet…read moreof both new and existing drywall. The existing drywall had a knockdown finish that we had skim-coated to a level 5 finish that looks fantastic! Jack Dahl gave us the most reasonable bid, and we're very happy with the work his crew did. Everything is smooth and even, no seams or distortions. I should mention that 2 of the areas skim-coated has 18- and 22-foot ceilings, which took some engineering to reach. When the job was finishing, Jack came out and noticed that some of the areas where the walls met the ceiling didn't look as good as he thought they should, and so he sent some guys back out to make it right. Drywall work is inherently messy, and there was a lot of dust created in the process. It wasn't possible to completely seal off the areas being worked on, and we ended up with dust in adjacent areas. Jack arranged to send a professional cleaning service to come remedy the situation, at his own expense (and we're very pleased with their work, too). Jack demonstrates a high level of integrity, and strives to make sure the job is done to the customer's satisfaction--and to his own. His crew is made up of talented and hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and communicate clearly and respectfully with the clients. We were very comfortable having them in our home for 2 weeks. The work they did is high quality, the price was fair, and we're very pleased with the results.
