I called Anwar for a quote. He provided me with a colorful flayer with four choices of different security camera systems and warranties. He gave me the quote that I modified, and then I requested to write down the conditions of the four years warranties. He wrote on it just four years under normal condition, and he got very upset when I requested to describe the condition clearly on the contract to avoid future disagreements. This review is intended to not deter business, harm in any way shape or form, but is intended to be informational according to the actual facts that have occured in my dealings with Abstract Enterprise Security Systems. January 13, 2023 Anwar Timothy from Abstract Enterprises Security Systems came out to provide a quote. He was pleasant to deal with, was very educational and seemed to know his stuff. January 19, 2023 I followed up on my quote and he had yet to put it together. Anwar pledged to get the quote to me on January 19, 2023. January 24, 2023 He had yet to provide me the quote and in fact stated that he wanted my contractor services instead of providing me the requested quote. January 25, 2023 I provided him the recap of all services required which he should have already had when he came out the first time to build the quote, and to date he has yet to reach out to me with the quote. Reached out February 10, 2023 to follow up on the quote and he told me that he was "talking with his wife" and never called back. This morning February 11, 2023 I followed up with him around 11:30 AM and he berated me scolding me telling me to "stop calling him that he would reach out when he needs my services". Meanwhile he never gave me a chance to even say "hey dude where is my quote" because he always puts me on hold or hangs up. Would I recommend him? No! Why not? He has a failure to execute and lacks fidelity. He does not stick to what he says he will do, and appears to have temperamental inadequacies and lacks professionalism. I am just glad perhaps he did not provide me a quote and that I rendered him funds for a job perhaps that he may not have started, and if started, then not completed, and if completed, not completed well. read more

Please be advised that I'm not sure how they got to conger 170 good reviews but this company is shady. They do not accept credit cards, no receipts are given upon payments, no contracts/SOW on what exactly the company will give you but MOST IMPORTANTLY, they will not return your refund. On August 23, 2021 I confirmed an appointment with the company's "owner" about a quote and estimate on the work I needed done at my mothers house. In short, I placed a $300 deposit and had to renew the work and wanted the funds returned back to my Zelle Account. I asked Drew to get me my deposit back and after 3 days of being unhelpful I went to Anwar, the owner, well ... the check was "in the mail" on August 30th and today is September 10th without a check in sight. Today I followed up with him and the conversation can speak for it self and validate how rude, unprofessional and miserable this individual can be. Horrible experience from the onset. The owner has no tact, is very rude and has poor customer service skills!! We had issues with the system from the start. At first he showed up and fixed the issue. The next time it was the night vision where the color would switch to black and white. Then the app stopped working from my phone. Our cameras were installed in the summer of 2018. I would text him several times with no response. Finally when he got back to me he said their would be a service charge, ok fine, but we could never get him back here! The DVR began making a constant ear deafening noise that only went away by unplugging it. Duh so much for security. Anwar, was a no show once, and then months later another no-show. He said the cameras have two year warranty and promised to come back. It appears he is more concerned about new business installs than customer service. Several people have asked if I would refer my camera guy and the answer was simple "NO". Over $2000 later he keeps giving us the runaround. Now, I understand why he asked us to send a good review from day one because everything went south after the installation. I've literally been waiting for this guy over a year now ?!?!?!?! Installation was okay, but between last minute cancellations on their part and some minor damage to the walls, the whole process was drawn out for about 3 months. I mainly dealt with Bose during the installation process, because Anwar couldn't muster up the patience to answer a customer's questions. But finally, everything was in working order...or so I thought. Recently, about 1 year after installation, I have been having issues with the app and 1 out of the 7 cameras we had them install. Their proposal explicitly stated that we have a 2 year warranty so I figured I would try to contact them even though I saw terrible reviews about follow-up customer service. I reached out to Anwar today and I mentioned trouble with the app and before I could even address the camera issue, he hung up on me. Anwar is very unprofessional and has a very short fuse so don't ask him the same question twice or he will lose it. I don't know how he can be the boss. They clearly do not bother with customer service after installation. So if you have another company that would be able to step in if something goes wrong, you can roll the dice and try Abstract, but honestly, using them is a big headache all around. read more

I had 4 cameras with my original CCTV system 3 cameras went black at the same time. I called the original installer he said the cameras burned out. I found that weird that they all went out exactly at the same time, he said he would replace 3 cameras for $750. I called Abstract Enterprises spoke with Anwar. he sent a guy out that day replaced my entire system for less than the original guy quoted me for 3 cameras. I wasn't in my business when the tech was finished, Anwar called me and walked me through connecting my phone with my new CCTV system. awesome job will deff use Abstract in the future and recommend them to everyone. read more

Amazing service from start to finish. Anwar and his team are reachable virtually around the clock by text message and phone (holidays included - I just texted him for follow up question and reply arrived literally within 5 seconds). The follow up service is also phenomenal. I also run a small business myself and know what it takes. I'll also point out that the quotes I received from others were slow, booked too far out ahead of time, and were $1800 to $6000. Anwar had his team out the next morning for same task for $600. Fraction of the cost for fraction of the time and same quality. I even have the iPhone app to monitor the cameras. Don't look further. read more

Beware: Once your installation is complete and the payment completed, there is no customer service or follow through with any repair requests. My installation was completed over 5 months ago & Anwar is unavailable for follow-up phone calls. He states that he responds to phone calls and emails, but its a lie. I have email threads and text messages that reflect the poor nature of his follow through. We've tried a ridiculous amount of times to reach this guy and he attempts to call once, and then never again. I have to say that I looked around at every local company I could find looking for someone who had a knowledge of ip security cameras, as well as reasonably priced services. When I contacted Anwar's company we scheduled an appointment and he was able to answer my questions, provide setup design, including a great price. Installation took a few hours, and I was up and running in one day. After a day there I was having a connectivity issue and I called Anwar, the very next day he sent one of his team (Lawrence) to fix the problem and haven't had an issues since. We signed a contract with Abstract Enterprises in spring of 2022 to install 16 security cameras in our store. Our contract included a NVR that could hold 2 months of recording time. After they installed the cameras, I asked if the recording time worked, and they said I would see it after some time had passed (as in, obviously, it wasn't going to show footage from before the cameras were installed). Because the work seemed finished, I paid them what was on our contract. However, after about 3 weeks, I saw that it did not record past about 10 days or so. I reached out to them to ask them to fix it. It has been almost 9 months, and it is still not fixed. After they got their check, they mostly stopped responding to my texts and phone calls. If they did reply, it was to tell me they would come on this or that day - and then wouldn't show up. They have been extremely rude and disrespectful. Even that I could tolerate if they would just finish the job that I paid them to do. But alas, they have blocked my number and the issue remains unresolved, leaving me to hire someone else to fix their mess. Other reviews on Yelp have a similar sentiment of a lack of response and follow through after they get paid. I would strongly discourage anyone from using their services. read more

Wires left exposed, tech promised to come back to tuck wires after I settled in from my move. When I called Anwar, he wanted to charge me a fee for it. Less than a year after install cameras and app stopped working. The technicians did faulty work installed some cameras way to high and at angles that made no sense....wires carelessly running everywhere... A complete waste of time and money...I am now forced to hire another company to have the job revised and it's not cheap. Wish I could post pics here of the faulty wiring. The pricing and installation were very good. They were finished within the same day. If this is what you value only then you should have no worries. However, it's all the in between things that were downright inappropriate. His workers who installed the cameras were extremely messy. All their trash were left for me to throw out. All debris from the work left for me to clean up. One disgruntled worker talked trash about his employer (Anwar) all throughout the process. Another worker's coordination was extremely questionable. In drilling the holes for the wiring, he made an error in calculation as to where he was supposed to drill. The drill was approximately 2 1/2- 3 feet long. Had someone been home and standing in that particular spot, it could've been fatal. All in all, I got what I needed for cheap. It works for me. I paid Abstract Security $2800.00 to install 6 cameras around my residential home in Jan,2022.they left a mess of discarded wires,camera boxes around my property which I had to clean up.From the day this camera system was installed the #5 camera has never worked properly,it works intermittently.i have called,emailed,texted the owner Anwar dozens of times and he refuses to send someone to fix the problem.NEVER pay Abstract by check or cash,pay only by credit card this way if there is a problem you have recourse.I have had dozens of contractors come to my home over the last 25 yrs but Abstract is THE WORST,they are never on time,fail to show up when the owner promises he will,I have wasted days sitting here for him to show up but never does then cops a self righteous narcissistic attitude when he's confronted.there are way too many other reliable security contractors out there,stay clear of Abstract Security.don't make the same mistake I made.Anwars word STINKS!!! Exceeded our expectations. Called Anwar and he was at our house within two hours. He walked the property and discussed placement and options. I had already spent months educating myself. I knew exactly what I wanted and he didn't try to up sell anything. Went with 6 4MP cameras, some motorized. 4TB NVR. Other companies would not even follow through with proposals and saw challenges. Lawrence the installer was a perfectionist. Everything under siding and a line was ran to our main TV. We can view crystal clear video on all devices in-house and remote. We also get to switch HDMI input and view from our couch and control with wireless mouse. Anwar is a solid guy and price was very fair! We got everything we wanted and expectations were exceeded. I would reconsider another camera company. These guys are terrible! I installed 4 new cameras January 9 2017 two cameras went out immediately. They made a mess of the wires and just split cable after cable. Try calling Anwar to come and fix the mess his company made... you have to call and email the company a ton of times before they answer. They come and split more cables. Instead of running a new clean cable as advertised for $100 anwar comes over splits the power cord and tries to charge 75 dollars. Well now once again a camera is out! I have left several messages for the company through their website. And no one has returned any of my messages. I would steer clear of Abstract. I had been comparative shopping for a camera installation security system for several years. My property was frequently vandalized and trashed when no one was home. I had no recourse for the damages since I had no proof. The police suggested I buy a system at home depot or Costco but being unable to do the installation myself and unable to get anyone to do the work, I had to resort to a professional installation. The prices quoted were significantly higher from all the other security companies and bestbuy. Anwar and his team made themselves available immediately for a consultation, listened to my needs and did not encourage me to invest more than I actually required. They set up an appointment for a mutually convenient time, were prompt, efficient and cleaned up. The only discrepancy was that they could not honor payment on an installment plan. Because they were in a hurry to get the job done I didn't receive adequate instruction on how to use the dvr and it didn't come with a manual. But they promised toto return and take care of anything I need. I believe that they will. Some of my neighbours complain that their property is used as a garbage disposal when they're not home...It certainly is worth the investment and it seems my neighbours are less likely to harrass me now that they know they can be caught.... read more
