For anyone living jn Ohio DO NOT use this water company. They will cancel on you or not show up...no warning. Based in Michigan, they don't seem to like traveling to Ohio. Decided to cancel...date to pick up was 12/24. Now I know this is Christmas eve so I called to verify. Was told yes, someone will be there to pick up the water dispenser and 5 gallon jugs. Was even promised a call with the time. No call..next thing you know at 3pm there is a voicemail stating they would come 2 days late. I live in an HOA, so you can't just leave this stuff outside for days. It's also the holidays so we are not home to bring it inside. I called and the csr was no help. When you know the company is shitting down at 3pm, why promise a customer you will come to their house? Knowing they live in Ohio?? Buy a cooler from Costco....fill the water jugs yourself for a fraction of the cost. Save the hassle of using a water company that clearly has no clue how to run a business. They do not value you as a customer or your time. No clue what they want me to do with those equipment and apparently they don't know either. ‍‍ read more

What a clown show!. A new water cooler was to be delivered. I was told they can only give you a timeframe of 8AM to 5PM. I needed to be home so they could bring it into the house. Supposedly, they can't give you any better timeframe, until the day of, which I found out, they can't provide either. So I stayed home all day -- at about 3 o'clock--still no delivery, so I called only to find out that they canceled the delivery, but nobody called to tell me. So they tell me they're going to deliver it the next day between 8 - 5, but I could call in the morning to get a better idea of the time. I called at 8:15 and they didn't have an estimate. I called back at 8:45 and they still didn't have an estimate. I called at 9:30 and asked is it gonna be in the morning or afternoon so I could at least run some errands. No estimate! I just called at 11:30 now they say the system is down so they have no information other than it will be today. So for two days, I sit here waiting, unable to leave the house because they can't estimate whether or not or when they might be in my neighborhood or area of town. I asked if the driver has an itinerary in the morning or they just go out and drive around and deliver where they want. And they told me "yes he has an itinerary but nobody else has a copy". How does a company not have a copy of the drivers itinerary before they send them out in the morning? Absolutely no concern or consideration for their customer's time. So I sit and wait! read more

Staff eventually responded and made meaningful contact, with follow-up. I've had to make these calls many times since new owners took over, so I can't give 4 stars - but I will give 3 for responding. We'll see if my delivery arrives on Monday, without issue, as promised. read more

Very upset with Absopure and their customer (lack of) service activity regarding damage to my home well head. Original discussions were timely, however when further explanations to the incident were provided, multiple attempts to review with the service activity fell on deaf ears. Over $1,100 was required to repair the well head which I funded. Seeking reimbursement from Absopure as significant evidence exists that their oversize truck caused the damage. This evidence has been e-mailed to the claims personnel, however no response has been provided. An incident report has been filed with the Brighton State Police. read more

A neighbor signed up for their service. For some reason they back up their huge commercial truck in our tiny driveway all the way to the porch which is so not acceptable. Reckless drivers. The weight of this truck can be a significant risk for damage to my cement and presenting a serious hazard to any pedestrians. I already gave the information to "Tony" at Absopure who told me he was over the drivers and pictures from our cameras he said he would call me back-he did not. All Absopure states is "oh we will not do it again". Reckless drivers backing up into a non customer driveway all the way to the house irregardless of pedestrians walking. They state the driver will not do it again. How about the driver be retrained in driving. N o apology nothing. I would not recommend this service to anyone read more

I believe I've had service with Absopure for a couple of years now and overall I've had a good experience. Sometimes the ability for them to find drivers and / or the attrition of these drivers makes it difficult for them. The scheduling could be touched up just a bit, but overall it's been good. The support team (especially Dawn) has been nothing short of FANTASTIC. I can contact them/her and get immediate resolution to any issues I am facing. read more

I have had this organization for 21+ years. The water delivery for the past two two years has been superb, prior to that, not so good, someone always had an excuse not to deliver and then when I called, the company always had an excuse, as it was always either the truck broke down or the driver was sick. I almost quit them and went elsewhere. Prices are similar elsewhere. Main Point - their water coolers if new, last about 2 - 3 years, if refurbished, 1 - 6 months and usually if refurbished, either cold or hot quits working before the maximum of 6 months. Always ask for a new cooler in a box. Communication: Just horrendous. As a customer of 21+ years, they promise to contact you, but never do. It falls on deaf ears. Talking to management yields no results except maybe "you" feel better. My cooler when out Thursday October 10 and leaked in my kitchen, this organization stated I would receive a new cooler today October 14 and that the driver would call me. The driver did not call me because he was not told to call me before he came. Furthermore, I called the company at 2pm today October 14 and their office rep said they would call me with a time that the driver would arrive. The company did not call me with the time. The driver came at 3;30pm. Conclusion: I believe after this next cooler fails, I'm going to buy me my own, since the water delivery is fine these days. However, had I known about these problems, I wouldn't of ever signed up with them, but my options in my area are somewhat restricted. read more

I have tried THREE separate times to order recurring water delivery service. Last year, they never bothered to call to set up a delivery for the cooler/water. In August, they set a delivery time, then failed to show-up, and never notified me. I had to call the next day. This week (6 weeks after the August attempt), I was given a delivery date of today....I called to verify, but oops. It wasn't going to be until Thursday because the driver was behind. Same story six weeks earlier....did he ever catch up. the person who answered the phone said sorry....but didn't understand my frustration at my third failed attempt, and snipped "I don't know what you want me to say". Of course, no managers were available to discuss future late deliveries, if this was a pattern. The worst part is....Absopure and Culligan are the only water delivery services in the Detroit Area...and they're both terrible. read more

Not only was she knowledgeable in the services absopure water offers she was also very detailed and patient , she walked me through the process from ordering to installation. Absolutely disgusting, and their lack of care is even worse. Took this bottle out today to swap out for a new one, noticed a small black spec on the side and upon investing further found the bottom covered in mold. When I reached out to them they seemed to not give a single care that I've been drinking that nor my animals. Infact when requesting to return the 3 full bottles I have they even said they can't refund me for that. I've been sick with a cold, and while I was getting better when I returned home after a trip and began drinking from this water again I've been getting worse again, and this makes a lot of sense. read more

Have been using service for about a year and we gave them too many chances. There is no schedule for water deliveries. I truly don't understand how a company that handles the same water delivery every month can't get their customers on a set schedule. I am given calendars every few months but they are useless as they are never followed. Currently sitting with 2 months worth of empty bottles (8 bottles!) sitting in my house because they show up whenever they want and I never know so I never get the opportunity to put the old ones out. Just received a delivery today. First time ever on a Monday...so that will be 12 empty bottles for next month, whenever they show. This company needs a complete overhaul... if you can't handle the one thing you do.... Close your doors. read more

Update 4/18/23 - Customer service manager Lisa reached out to us today and I believe all issues will be resolved shortly. --------------- We used to use Absopure for our Auburn Hills facility but they just became to much of a PITA so we found someone else. Now we've been waiting a month for a return of the $519 owed to us from Absopure. We've tried calling and emailing Absopure on numerous occasions and receive either no response or some excuse about continuing IT issues. Looking at the reviews, we are not the only one to have issues with Absopure customer service. And obviously, Absopure doesn't care. Good riddance to them. read more

I was not shocked to see such terrible reviews of this company. My location is the Plymouth Mi. The customer service reps are awful, not forth coming with information, act bothered and are down right rude. I am disgusted that Costco would ever associate with such a terrible company considering customer service drives their business. The only positive interaction I had was with a rep named Alexis. She was the reason I decided not to cancel that day. The lady today will be destroying this business with each phone call she answers. *And the nightmare continues. Lisa has called me several times and I feel like bc i have no interest in speaking or dealing with the business any longer they have not issued my refunds. Theres one for 30 dollars that needs a supervisor approval which makes zero sense, my voicemail says it was approved. Mind you Ive been waiting on this for MONTHS now. Then lets move onto them picking up the equipment and water. Had no idea except the day the driver was coming. So I put the water outside. Im not going to put the dispenser out in the weather or have it stolen. So my waters (7 full 5gallon and one empty container) were picked--still NO REFUND...and i still have the water dispenser sitting in my house. I was told I would receive a call from the driver-whatever that means. No missed calls from Absopure or voicemails left regarding pick up time. And the ZERO follow up regarding the water dispenser. I have only had service with them for 4 months, and I have had 3 missed deliveries with absolutely no notice. When I call in, the only response I receive is that there is an issue with the route and that they are running behind and should be caught up in a few days. Absolutely unacceptable service. I will be canceling and going with another company. Update 9/25/2022 I was contacted by Absopure to discuss my review. They left a phone number, email, and a voicemail message. I have called, emailed, as well as waited on hold to discuss the issue with Lisa, and was not able connect. It feels like this was just a generic canned response to my review. I live in Alpena ,MI. While we are not a major metropolitan area, we are also NOT a boondocks/bush location. When we needed spring drinking water delivered, ALL companies that pretended to offer water delivery to this area, actually sub-contracted ABSOPURE to do the actual deliveries. Absopure sent us our first water delivery. A rather rude delivery person told my wife that "you know this is a subscription and you MUST buy water from us?" That was six months ago. Every, EVERY month since then, they have missed their scheduled delivery date. When I sent emails asking when to expect delivery, they had sickly sweet responses like, "it will be next week". We needed regular deliveries so that we could pace our drinking water consumption. Excuses like, "it will be next week", forced us to purchase water from grocery stores. In December, we received NO water delivery, but were told it would come "in January". January came and went with no delivery. We were promised delivery on February 2nd. NO WATER!!!! But I was told it would come on February 6th. Meanwhile, we were OUT of drinking water!! There has NEVER been an on time delivery! When asked fo an invoice, because the charge made to our credit card seemed high, it took THREE requests to get an invoice, only to see that they thought we had additional "jugs", which they charge a deposit for, that we DID NOT have. This company is full of promises they will not keep and invoicing that is spotty at best. Buy your water from the grocery store if they are your only other option. THIS COMPANY SUCKS!!!!!! read more

We signed up for Absopure more than a year ago, through Costco. We have no complaints about the price or water quality. Both are good. But, as several other reviewers have mentioned, the service is terrible. Not only are the customer service reps less than friendly (I mean that literally; they're not mean, just kinda ambivalent), but also, pickups and deliveries are routinely botched. I won't bore you with all the details, but my May pickup came a day *late*, with no notice, and my July delivery came a day *early* (June 30), again with no notice. So, now I'm stuck a bunch of empty bottles, and didn't receive enough bottles to replace the old ones. In fairness, Absopure does resolve these issues, when I call. But, frankly, I'm sick of calling. It really isn't all that hard to figure it out -- come on the day you've told me you'll come, pick up the empty bottles, and drop off the new. I hesitate to write all this, as we are still customers. However, I think it's about time we looked into Culligan and other competitors. And, if you're considering Absopure, I'd encourage you to save some time and energy, and join me at the "find other options" stage. read more

I have called four or five times to have my original water schedule changed from monthly to bi-weekly (for some reason they have been unable to do so even though the notes on my account say just that). There is always some kind of excuse and a lack of responsibility on their end. Also, it doesn't matter how polite or understanding you are because you will still get an attitude from the office staff (especially Tina). I should have read read all reviews before I sign up for home water delivery. At first I told sales rep that I want to start off with 1 bottle of 5gallon water to see if I like this company. And initially on the phone sales rep told me he can give me 10 bucks off for first order. But then couple days later when I mentioned him about discount. his discount plan changed and suggested me that he will give me 4 bottles of 5 gallons to start off and 4th one will be free. It's different from what I was told at first place but I let it go. And that was bad mistake. Also he told me that driver will text me when they are on the way to my house but it never happened. I discovered that one of four bottles was leaking water . That is my first order !! So I emailed them to pick up the bottle but no one is responding to me. Before I sign up , they were very responsive and answered my questions promptly but now they seem to not care about me anymore. And still leaking bottle on my porch which I don't want them to charge me for. I'm thinking if I should cancel this service. They made it sound like they have great customer service but I certainly don't feel that way. He didn't give me much details about this water service and I didn't sign up for any long or short time contract so I'm thinking cancel this service before it becomes nightmare. You would think that a business worth millions, and based on simply fetching FREE water from Michigan springs for distribution, would be run by people who would care about and appreciate what they have. Sadly this is not the case. The degree of indifference and incompetence at the top of this company is staggering. If I had to guess, I may guess that the founder is no longer running the company, but rather their children. Children often neglect and abuse businesses that are handed to them, never having had the experience of working hard to establish that business. As a customer of absopure, you can expect complete indifference and incompetence all along the way. I've been slow to condemn these guys, but after years as a customer I can say they truly suck. It's difficult because there are -some- good people in customer service, but overall the experience is trash. Expect to wait on hold for 15 minutes until someone can be bothered to correct their own mistakes, which you will need to bring to their attention. In the meantime, you will have neither prompt nor reliable service. But hey, who cares right? If anyone is looking to start a successful business, buy a truck and a warehouse. If you are even halfway competent, you will crush and destroy absopure's business, and get rich at the same time. read more

Poor Customer Service The company has literally the worst customer service and deliver. Cannot commit to the delivery schedule and cannot inform the customer of the change. Water Coolers are junk and have to be replaced about every 4 months. Getting a replacement delivered is a nightmare as well. read more

I just wanted to say thank you for our route driver who went above and beyond today...our route changed a little and the water gets delivered earlier now and we missed getting our empties out last month and were about to again today as we forgot! But...your guy checked w us before leaving!! He was so kind and helped w even putting the bottles away. My husband and I are both in sales and customer service is big for both of us. Update: On a Friday, our delivery never showed up again with no notice, so I planned to cancel services after the weekend. On Tuesday, just before I called to cancel, they randomly showed up and dropped off the delivery (which I no longer wanted...) There's a note on my account that states that they're supposed to call me because the building is locked. They didn't call (happened multiple times before) and left the bottles outside. Because they didn't call, I wasn't able to give them the 4 empties, and I called Absopure to let them know. I scheduled a bottle pick-up, and they assured me I wouldn't be charged, and I finally cancelled the delivery service. No one ever asked me why or what happened, and no one ever apologized on any of the many occasions I had to call and ask what was going on with my deliveries. Looked at my invoice this month, and unsurprisingly, I was charged for the deposit. When I called to tell them, they asked me if I wanted it back on my card or as credit on my account. I said I already cancelled my account last month...? I got the extra bottle deposit money back, but to be honest, it would have been much better customer service if I got all of my money back since I didn't even want that last delivery in the first place! They were always late or showed up unexpectedly several days later, and overall, the whole experience had been an inconvenience on my schedule for months... so it's a little ridiculous that I had to pay all of those delivery fees... I'm honestly mad at myself for accepting the last delivery and paying for it just because I didn't want to deal with the headache. read more

Absopure bought Arbor Springs. Like everyone else, service dropped immediately and has been problematic ever since. Even the delivery drivers badmouth Absopure. On top of everything else, there is white sand in the bottom of the latest delivery. Notsopure is more like it. I'm going to install an RO system and be done with this expense. read more
