It's a family store not just a bait and tackle shop but don't let that fool you. These folks know fishing, know their gear and know what the fish are biting. Huge selection of fishing gear and tackle with top brands available. Whatever the fish are biting on at that particular point in the season RW's has it. Live, fresh or artificial bait and lures are available. There is a hunting section that is smaller than the fishing side but has a good selection of decent gear as well. They carry boating equipment and supplies with the exception of high end electronics. Need a big friggin anchor or a mooring point? They have them, dock ladder? They have them too. Need trailer parts? Yep, got them too. I've been to RW's a couple of dozen times and there are still places in the store I haven't had a chance to see yet. Not just for fishing, hunting and boating, they have a nice election of Ladies, men's and kids summer clothing (mostly shirts and shorts) and the best selection of "riverware" on The Neck. Maybe this is due to pressure from government oversight, but customer service is pretty horrible. The owners are very nice people, but one portly middle-aged gentleman that's been there quite some time and is usually the one I end up dealing with is routinely cold if not outright rude every time I've walked in. More frustrating is the time that's been wasted on my end when this employee has consistently given incorrect information regarding transfers or orders. Additionally, as of late, the company simply does not answer the phone, does not respond to emails & all around has become an utter bear to deal with. I hate seeing this kind of decline in what would otherwise be our best local gun shop, especially when it was once such a warm & welcoming environment. I sincerely hope they improve and grow in the future.
