Posting this because of what happened to a friend of mine after she was pierced at Absolute Tattoos. Within three days of having her ears pierced here, she developed severe pain, heat, hardness and throbbing in her ears and ultimately had to go to urgent care and receive medication. What she told me about the actual piercing procedure is the part I find completely unacceptable. According to her, the piercer put on gloves before setting up, then proceeded to open drawers, touch cabinets, the cart, supplies and other surfaces while wearing those same gloves. She also says the piercer touched/wiped her nose and then continued handling her during the procedure. She also told me that one piercing needle was used for both ears, rather than a new single-use needle being used for each piercing. Then there was the jewelry. She was given butterfly-back earrings on fresh piercings, and the backs were so tight that there was little room for the swelling that followed. She has had numerous piercings before and knew something was seriously wrong when the ears became hot, hard and began throbbing even though she hadn't hit or disturbed them. I understand that complications and infections can occur after any piercing, and I am not going to pretend I can medically prove exactly what introduced the infection. But when someone describes questionable infection-control practices during the procedure and then ends up at urgent care three days later, that is more than enough for me to warn other people before they decide where to get pierced. What disturbed me further was looking into the shop afterward and finding that other customers have previously complained publicly about piercing complications and piercing technique at this location. So her experience does not appear to exist in a vacuum. She also made a point of telling me that the piercer herself was very nice. Frankly, that isn't the issue. Being pleasant does not compensate for poor infection-control practices when you are creating an open wound in someone's body. Based on what happened to my friend and what she personally witnessed during her appointment, I would not allow someone I care about to get pierced here. Absolute Tattoos should take a serious look at how piercing procedures, glove changes, single-use equipment and initial jewelry are being handled at this location. read more

Wouldn't go bad due to lack of information ( I think they scammed me)... Anna pierced me (belly button) however, she gave me a long bar and three months later my piercing is not healing right and looks super bad and gross. I go back in to get it looked at (Aldofo looked at me because Anna was out), and he informed me the bar was messing up my healing process and that I needed a shorter one... this is all apart of the healing process... apparently. Now maybe I might be the uneducated one here but I've never heard of getting a piercing then coming back to purchase another bar a month later cause it's apart the "healing process" . And even if it is, She did not warn me that I had to purchase another shorter bar a month later for it to properly heal. I don't even know if that's a real thing because I've never heard of a such but hey, I'm down $20 later praying that I didn't get scammed and that my pricing starts to heal properly. Moral of this review, My problem was the lack of information. make sure you know everything about the healing process cause they might be doing you dirty to get more money out of you. read more

I've gotten three piercings done here over the years and every one was quick and healed great. The store always smells nice and the whole staff was super welcoming and funny! Came in to have my first tattoo done and this was the first place I thought of. I don't write reviews but this place is awesome so I had to share my experience. Steve lined up everything and made sure I liked the design and placement and was super fast! It came out amazing and I'll be coming back for my next one definitely. read more

Megan is awesome! Set realistic expectations and explained everything she was doing. Very friendly and welcoming. I'll be back!

Both my youngest daughter and oldest son have gotten their ears pierced here. This place is clean and the professional. Highly recommend.

Spacing was off on my tattoo. Stevie was not nice the entire time. Really wish I had just scheduled it somewhere else on a different day. Paid $100 for two initials that don't look as good as they could. Plus, one is bolder than the other. :( read more

Took my daughter to get some piercings and had one done myself as well. Meagan was super friendly and amazing. She was patient with my daughter who was nervous and gave her time to relax after. First off, David did a great job on our tattoos. He made sure we were comfortable and satisfied with the design. Then he did an awesome job with the ink! The place was clean and spacious. The only negative comment I have is that their customer service could use a touchup. Some customers walked in and waited long periods or even walked out because there was no receptionist to greet much less help them. They were all inking or piercing customers. Overall my experience was very good and I will be looking to David for more ink! read more

Had my septum pierced there a couple of days ago, the piercer didn't ask me about placement of piercing, or even let me know when he was gonna pierce it. I had mild to severe irritation in my right nostril. contacted a trusted piercer and they told me that the piercer had pierced my cartilage and the piercing was way too low. when asking for a refund they told me that I could only get a refund if the piercing was done incorrectly (which it was) and was told they just needed to cut the jewelry to fix the issue instead. very sketchy don't recommend. read more

10/10 recommend coming here for your piercing by Megan!!! I've gotten both my nose and cartilage done with her and both times have been an amazing experience. Her bubbly personality helps calm your nerves if you have any and she walks you through everything she is doing. I love the way my Piercings turned out and I will definitely be back for more. I always recommend my friends to go to her :) read more

I saw Kat today, she redid my tongue piercing that accidentally closed. She was extremely professional and very calming. I could not have asked for a better customer experience or a better atmosphere. She went above and beyond to make sure and pierce through where they had pierced previously, to avoid issues, so I really appreciated that. She also gave me clear, concise post-procedure instructions and answered all my questions with lots of patience, kuddos Kat! Previously, I had a conch ear piercing done here, and I was satisfied, so I will continue to keep coming back for my piercings, and will recommend it to anyone I know!! Muchas Gracias :) read more

I got my septum done here today. The piercer was so sweet and made sure I was okay the entire time. She was so patient with both my friend and I. I came in December for a belly button piercing and my friend got her snake eyes piercing. we were both gonna get the snake eyes but the girl said my tongue was too round at the end so I just said I'll get my belly button pierced cause I've wanted it for the longest time, unfortunately 2 months later and it's not healed, still crusting and the placement was crooked. And to make things worse , she used the snake eyes jewelry for my belly button but I didn't find out until a different piercer told me. I will not be coming back and I took out the piercing so I can get it pierced right in a month or two... hope you guys don't come here either. She had blue hair and glasses I forgot her name lol. read more

We will continue to watch our daughter's ears as it heals but so far so good! read more

Absolute worst piecing parlor in the state of Texas. I had each helix done on each ear - the lady complimented me said i was her best client because I never flinched or made a sound yet each side was COMPLETELY crooked and looked terrible. She didn't tighten them properly. So out of the 6, FOUR of them fell out so I went back purchased additional rods for each ear. The girl who was there was EATING McDonald's chicken nuggets and didn't wash her hands. She proceeded to put gloves on - I told her for proper hand hygiene you throughly wash your hands then place gloves on. She looked at me as if I was an idiot and said my hands are clean see I'm wearing gloves. At that time I had taken an EMT class. I said for a sterile environment like this one you need to wash your hands, she rolled her eyes said no. At this point I didn't care I wanted to get my piercings in and pray to not get an infection - I should have called the human health services department but I was young however not as dumb as that chicken nugget fingers. Anyway she put them back in and also said they we were very crooked ie not in a helix formation. It angers me when I walk by this poor excuse for a parlor when I go to my favorite poke bowl place. This place is terrible out of the 6 piercings I had I now have one. Thanks absolute piercings for the worst experience of my life and your poor excuses for employees. Stay clear of this place!!!!!!!!!!! read more

A girlfriend and I went here to get piercings and had a very professional experience. Our piercer was Aldofo, very educated, reassuring and funny. Our entire experience lasted about 15 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we paid and left. We were both walk-ins. The piercing was quick and easy. Painful depending on the location lol.
