I wanted to wait a while to see how my work held up. Here's my experience: I showed up to Wicked Ways on Blanco one day without a clear concept of what I wanted. After presenting a few ideas, the guy I talked to explained their pricing process and gave me the totals for what I wanted. He actually got a couple artists together to tell me what they could do with my ideas. I landed on a design and he linked me up with Tim. I LOVE how I was treated. Sometimes when you don't have a clear concept a lot of shops will blow you off or try to push you into something and these guys really worked with me. I also wanted to get my foot done, which several shops have turned me away for. Tim was very professional and did great work. Foot tats hurt! He did a great job of making sure I was as comfortable as I could be. Because I have olive toned skin I am often told I can't do much color. My skin happens to take color well, and Tim didn't shy away from that. He gave me exactly what I asked for and it is by far my favorite tattoo. I get a tat every time my hubby deploys, and this one was going to be a surprise for him. It was a Princess Bride tat with one of our favorite lines. Horrible tattoo shop, went here about two months ago was given a quote & appointment time/day to show up. The guy who quoted me who's name is 'Bryan' told me the session for a full sleeve cover up would take 2-3 sessions. First appointment maybe a week later, I arrive at said appointment time just for this guy to have me sitting for an entire hour while he 'cleaned'. I was understanding of it, I'm not an impatient person. I was already feeling skeptical at this point so I pay attention to how long the sessions are taking, mid 3 hour tattoo session, yeah you heard that right 3 hour tattoo session. A lady who works there interrupts 'Bryan' just so he can take an 'appointment' for a 'POTENTIAL' customer. This happened on multiple occasions throughout the tattooing process, sometimes in between intervals of 20-40 minutes each time! This is where things make a turn for the worse, 'Bryan' proceeds to tell me 3 hours into tattooing that he's gonna have to continue this 'some other time'. Had I not even asked he probably wouldn't have even told me when. I proceed to ask him when & this guy has the audacity to tell me I can come back the FOLLOWING week. Mind you, the tattoo is barely 5% done at this point. Me being the chill person I am, I let it slide & told him I'll come in a week. A week comes by, same thing again cleaned for 30 minutes & then walks up to me and looks at my tattoo and says 'yeah man that isn't healed yet your gonna have to come back'. I was infuriated. I forget to mention! After finishing 5% of my tattoo on the first session they wanted the payment in full ($1000). I was very specific & up front when he was doing my tattoo, towards the 3rd session with this dude he started taking his sweet time, going on vape breaks; bathroom breaks, breaks breaks. Towards the end of my tattoo (85%) done I start demanding specific details & for him to go back on certain bad aspects of the tattoo. I asked for him to finish off these' cloud rays' with some stairs because I didn't like the empty void of skin when it's a 'full sleeve'. Guy completely ignored my wishes because of his belief that it wouldn't 'look good'. Overall horrible price, horrible customer service, horrible tattoo for what I paid. I ended up with a second infection and the owner told me "I don't have time for this" when i called to inform him of my situation. I have now made 5 trips to see doctor including one ER visit. I've been on antibiotics for 3 weeks and it is not healing well. I will have large permanent scars. I've missed work due to the infections. And I paid upfront for two tattoos out of which Norm only started on one yet he REFUSES to return the money for the second tattoo he hasn't done and did not earn the money. Our tattoo artist Dani did a great job drawing up the tattoo for my spouse and even did a great job with most of it. The issue I have is that she promised to finish it at a later time because it was taking a while and so I went ahead and provided FULL payment because we trusted that she would follow through. Rude staff. Unprofessional. Stay far away. They do not value clients concerns or business. Had to go to another tattoo shop to get some work fixed since I was provided incorrect care instructions. When I originally presented my concerns on a piece that was not looking normal after 4 weeks...i was blown off, fed immature lies such as: it's the texture of my skin, or it's steal healing, or I need to buy cortizone 10, or allergies are real bad right now that's why it looks that way. worst piercing experience I've had in my LIFE. not exaggerating. I'm 22 female and have had roughly 15 piercings total, nose x3, nipples x4, & ears. I'm experienced. Let me start from the beginning. I call ahead for pricing. As you know they have two locations, the one near Taco Bell & hills and dales and the other one. (Sry don't know the names of streets. Refer back to paragraph 1 sentence 2) to see how much a nose piercing is which he said $65 which included the jewelry & aftercare. I asked if I could opt out of the aftercare which he then happily offered the price of $55 at BOTH LOCATIONS. Dope. I roll up w/ my roomie and ask about my nose and he said $65 then I said 'oh I don't need the aftercare' he rudely replied it's still $65. I then explained how the guy on the phone said 55 & he then got hostile and asked who said that bc they recently changed prices. (He's the only piercer there, shocker) I then asked about student discount which OF COURSE they don't have. How could I be so stupid? Flash forward to what I refer to as 'the accident' He marked where he was gonna pierce, didn't show me!!!!, then stabbed away ALL in under 4.20 seconds. Not only did he pierce while I was TALKING telling him to wait so I could see it, he used a butter knife for a needle and then took his sweet a$$ time pokin er on thru. A whole 13-15 second long experience of executing pain. He then calms me down by telling me to breathe in. Breathe. In. WHAT. I then proceed to curse out this obviously inebriated junkie for using a dull needle and taking his sweet time. All in all save your money and go to Buddha box where the piercers have experience and are actual professionals. read more

They did not give me any cure instruction's for my tattoo & i felt like they did not want to help me with my first tattoo, A little frustrating when your new to getting tattoo , But i felt like you should get curing instructions, I was told just to let it heal, But that's it. My best friend and I went to get matching tattoos that we've been trying to plan for years. I live in another state and I am only in San Antonio for certain holidays. We finally decided to go and get one and she found wicked ways. We did a walk in because we wanted 3 simple words. 13 letters total. We walked in and just said "we want 3 words in black". He said ok and sat us down. Later quoted us 80$ without fully listening!! It took 10 minutes tops for our simple tattoo.. I have a few tattoos myself from a few different parlors so I've seen plenty of procedures of set up , break down, and sanitizing. I felt a little iffy leaving as I did not see him wash his hands and he touched me and my friends fresh tattoo with his bare hand to rub in lotion. I truly believe The chair also was not properly cleaned. After the tattoo was done he applied Saniderm (saranwrap like bandaid for tattoo) and told us specificly many times not to remove for 4 days. The saniderm website says NO LONGER than 24 hours. Truthfully I think you can get a better tattoo experience for cheaper. read more

AJ did an amazing job. I listed probably half a dozen flowers I liked and told him I wanted bright colors, but other than that he had full creative freedom with no budget. I love letting an artist's talent and ideas flourish this way, this was tattoo #4 for me. I was from out of town on a 6 week work trip to SA when I got this, and we timed every appointment 2 weeks apart (3 sessions total) so he could finish before I left. Everywhere I go, people ask me where I got it done and are always bummed it's not somebody local. If I'm ever in the area, AJ will have a repeat customer! read more

The tattoo artist we had was not prepared for our tattoos despite sending him our images over two weeks before the appointment. Upon arrival he could not find the images we provided and did not start on one of our tattoos until almost two hours after the appointment time. For this reason I did not even have mine done which I am glad because the tattoo he did for my wife looks terrible. The studio is really nice don't get me wrong, but my artist did not care about my tattoo. I set up an appointment 4 days in advance to go in and get a tattoo around my ankle and lower leg. Paid $300 for something that doesn't even look like what I wanted and paid way more than I should have for something that could've been done better at a different studio for less money. Also I showed up 15 minutes early to my session like I normally do and my artist was not ready and thought that our appointment was a whole hour later on in the day and then preceded to spend time during my session to go and eat before starting with me. He also only spent 30 minutes tattooing me instead of taking his time and adding the detail that would've made my tattoo amazing. Now I have to pay more money to get what I want at a different studio. Will not be going back. Ever. read more
