The staff here are caring, helpful and honest. Chris does the installations, his father helps with carpet selection and specifications for your location and his mother works on scheduling and coordination. Together, they run a great show and really take care of their customers. We love Chris. He really helped us find the best carpet for our home, tolerated our crazy toddlers running around in the store and in our home, our barking dog :) and also installed our carpets to perfection. He even drove back to the store and rescheduled our second installation because he wanted to make sure the job was done right. He even made two carpets for us out of the leftovers from the job free of charge! A big thank you to the Rug Depot owners. I wish every store was like yours. You guys are awesome. While Ken seems like a nice person and means well, he is completely unequipped for large painting…read moreprojects. He advertised himself as having a full crew of painters and assured me he could complete our home in two weeks. What actually happened was a total nightmare. He brought two young workers who clearly had no training in prep or safety. I'm pregnant with a toddler at home, and they failed to seal off work areas or clean up any of the paint dust or sanding residue. I specifically asked for the job to be hand-rolled for health reasons, yet Ken spray-painted our ceiling right next to my toddler's room while she was napping. In two full weeks, all that was completed was partial prep, a sprayed hallway ceiling, and one poorly painted bedroom. The work was sloppy, with paint peeling from baseboards and splattered on our brand-new hardwood floors. The house was left covered in dust and debris. To make matters worse, our new painter immediately noticed that none of the vents had been protected during Ken's prep work. My husband removed the air filter and found it completely drenched in white paint. The new painter advised us to replace the vents and air filters entirely because of how much paint and dust had been sucked into the system. Ken then called out five days in a row with a string of excuses, showed up late when he did come, and often left early. After I paid him a 50% deposit, progress stalled completely. When I asked for a refund after seeing how little had been done, he refused and told me "good riddance." Multiple professional painters have since inspected his work and confirmed it all had to be redone. My new painters have been punctual, professional, and somehow even more affordable. Finally, Ken told me he was lead-paint certified and charged me for lead encapsulation work on our porch. Not only was it done incorrectly with peeling areas left exposed, but he later admitted he was not certified after all. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable and unsafe. I'll be pursuing legal action and hope this helps others avoid the same situation.

We had just bought a house and were looking to have the cabinets repainted as they needed some love. Ken sent me over an estimate with tons of information and multiple options and timelines to attack my project. I ended up selecting the option to have them completely redone and also asked to have the island be painted differently from the rest. Ken helped me pick out a color, Lazy grey that I absolutely love! I have to say the overall process was less stressful than I expected! Ken made everything easy on us from communication, organization inside the house with materials and cleaning up after he was finished. I absolutely love how everything turned out and will be using them again when we do our bathroom vanities next!
