So far, so good! I've had a pretty terrible ongoing experience with another Absolute Dental in town from June-October 2018, but had the best experience ever with Dr Futch and the staff here at this one. Front desk staff were all very attentive to getting me checked in and letting me know when I was going to be seen. The nurse was really sweet and heard me out and really emphasized to the experience I had just went through. And Dr Futch was great! He fixed the problem I came in there for (huge physical relief), explained what I should expect for the next year or so, gave some recommendations on care with a recent procedure I'd had done, he actually listened to me (that's a big plus in patient care), and made me feel really welcomed by telling me a few times if I have any more problems to not hesitate to call and come back! After just one visit I have instant relief and feel valued as a patient. (I've seen them many times since the first time and give them a solid 5 stars every time!) Solid gold! After the terrible experience elsewhere - he, his care, and staff were just all a welcomed change! I look forward to having them take care of my future dental needs. read more

As many other Yelp reviews mention, the front desk staff here was extremely rude and dismissive. From the moment I walked in, the older woman at the front desk seemed visibly irritated with me. Another staff member insisted I didn't have insurance, despite the fact that I absolutely do and make monthly payments toward it. She repeatedly argued with me about it instead of trying to help. I came in with a dental emergency because my tooth had broken and I was in significant pain. I misunderstood and thought they would be able to treat or repair it that day, but instead they only took X-rays and examined it briefly before telling me I'd need to schedule another appointment a week later. The overall experience was frustrating and uncomfortable. The waiting room was extremely hot, the paperwork process was excessive (9 pages on an iPad, including requests for photos of my driver's license and multiple "profile pictures" of my face), and the staff seemed annoyed that I wasn't completing everything quickly enough while they continued interrupting me with questions. I honestly spent more time filling out paperwork than I did speaking with the dentist. The dentist never introduced himself, looked in my mouth for less than a minute, said "yep, it's broken," and walked out. I also had to ask multiple times for copies of my X-rays and was repeatedly told no until Faith, who handled the payment plans, stepped in and kindly printed them for me without issue. She was the only genuinely pleasant and helpful person I interacted with there. On top of everything else, the office closed an hour earlier than posted, which seemed odd. Thankfully, I found another dentist who was much more professional and compassionate, and I'll be continuing treatment there instead. Overall, this was unfortunately one of the worst dental experiences I've had, especially for a $39 emergency visit. read more

I love my hygienist Kumar but the front office is just the worst. Went back and forth for days about my appointment then(all via text because why pick up the phone and call anyone) when I thought everything was settled the next day they text me( can't even pick up a phone) and give me a different appointment time and can't guarantee treatment the same day. Why did we just do the back and forth the day before to just have everything switched again? Make it make sense!!! Won't be back which sucks because back office staff is great. read more

Disabled elderly man being taken advantage of by the oral surgeons.... Well we came in for tooth pain, got exams. And they charged us before the surgery. Over 3grand.... But since doctor jasleen refused to hand over history information, now we are unable to get surgery and they will not refund us our money. We have been waiting longer than three weeks and they will do nothing about it. And said absolutely no reimbursement. This is the most shallow, careless place I have been I can't believe they won't help us get the history needed form a doctor. Just to tell us they won't give us the money back. We don't get texts back. The office is rude. And no one seems to know anything. The man they are taking the money from is elderly and disabled.... I just got a notice about Absolute Dental's information system issue and how my personal information has been impacted by the event, and it reminded me that I needed to Yelp* about why not to go here. Absolute Dental on Spanish Springs in Sparks, NV, damaged my teeth while performing a standard crown procedure. It took me years to understand what hateful care I received when I needed help. The rubber dam used for a crown was accompanied with a metal dental frame that wedges against the sides of the neighboring teeth. The insertion of the metal frame carved the enamel off 4 of my teeth with one damaged deep enough to reach the dentin at the neck of that molar. Spend the extra time, and money to go to a Dentist who is not out to harm you. read more

I called the office to get an appointment for Oral surgery. They took my insurance information and said they take it. When I arrived for my apt, they weren't so sure, but after taking my card, they indicated that they did indeed take my (Aetna Dental) insurance. They then asked who referred me, I told them I found them on Google. Their front desk person told me they would not take me without a referral. They could have gotten this take care of on the phone, but did not. As a result, I drove a total of 88 miles and left with no care. Their doctors may be good, but there front office is awful. read more

Some of this is on my insurance. BUT, if you know I have an emergency with a cracked tooth and I'm asking for an extraction why are you not prepared to take care of the extraction. I know darn well you know what my insurance covers, you asked multiple times about insurance. You took two X-rays and noticed I also had remnants of a tooth (lower jaw) which requires an oral surgeon. Instead of taking care of the cracked tooth (upper) you send me to an oral surgeon. I have never had to wait to have a tooth extracted. Five weeks and I still have a cracked tooth. Now waiting to see an OS. Should have pulled the cracked tooth then referred me to an oral surgeon for tooth fragments. read more

I originally went to this dental practice, because I was having pain in my tooth. The dentist never even acknowledged me during the exam. Then the girl with the financials came in to discuss the treatment plan. A treatment plan I was not consulted on. The plan had the filling for my painful tooth months away with multiple expensive crowns paving the way. Unacceptable. So months later, I finally got up the nerve to go in for a cleaning and discuss the treatment plan. I took time off of work and headed to the dentist early. When I got there, I asked the receptionist if my insurance would cover the cleaning (I knew it would). I was told that it would be at least $150 out of pocket, so I refused to pay that and turned around and left. Five minutes later I get a call from a Spam Risk number I didn't answer and a text from the dental office that they were wrong that the cleaning was fully covered by insurance, and I should come back. Of course I didn't. I'd rather go to a dentist that isn't looking to make money off of me any way that they can. These people are greedy and shouldn't be trusted! read more

These people have no idea whats really going on my husband had his top teeth removed and was supposed to get his bottom partials he started this process in july then his partials never came hes been calling and calling after charging us $1400 they said that his insurance wouldnt cover it after they told us it was covered after the $1400 out of pocket they still sent a bill for over $900 and now they finally got him in again and we have to pay anotger $300 just to start over again this is bull shit i would never recomend absolute dental to anybody ever you will end up getting screwed over read more

i went here for dentures.i had to go through 2 dentist. the dentures don't fit and are not good. they misbilled and forgot the lower partial. i had to pay an extra $550 dollars due to their incompetence. neither dentist is there now. they left along with the office manager. i can't get any help from anyone about this extra charge. they don't care. i have been threatened with being served over this. i had to pay the $550. i would not recomend this buisiness to anyone. go anywhere else. these people are terrible!! not even one staris recommended. read more

I went in for a complete tooth extraction and the dentist did not feel safe which I completely understand I was attempting to ask questions and instead of allowing me to calm down because I was pissed off the office manager made the choice for me to not get any work done and they left me in pain refusing to even pull one tooth and send me out to get the rest of the work I need done on my mouth leaving me no choice but to pull the tooth on my own which is unsafe but my tooth is causing me extreme pain and causing other issues with my vision and my ear and my jaw. read more

For starters make your first visit expectations clear. I have never been to a dentist appointment that doesn't include a cleaning! The whole purpose for the visit is the cleaning. To arrive and only have X-rays and a doc come in and tell you if you have cavities or not is not what the visit was for entirely. To have to schedule a separate appointment after the fact is a complete waste of time. Also, I'm not a dentist but I would imagine preserving and trying to save a tooth before extracting it would take priority. To jump to an extreme without even having a specialist on sight is ridiculous. How about hiring someone who is in the office and not just once a month for people who have busy schedules? You guys are inconvenient and absurd. I didn't schedule a cleaning and I'll never go back. If you read this just don't bother going here. Staff is not friendly nor are they welcoming. So I had an dentist appointment yesterday at four and they called me the day before to confirm and I said yes. They said they wanted to let me know that they will be asking me all the covid questions before I go in and I said that's fine. I get there and there is a sign on the door that says the door is locked and to knock and someone will open it. It said follow social distancing and we will ask you questions and then you will wait in your car till it is time. So I knock three times and wait like five minutes. Btw it was like a hundred outside. So I was waiting and getting frustrated and she finally comes and says she has to take my temp and I have to wear a mask. So I say I will check in my car I think I have one and walked back to my car realizing I don't have one. I didn't make a point to grab one because hello dentist how can I wear a mask when they clean my teeth. So I tell her I guess I don't have one all the while I am getting hot thinking obviously my temp is going to be high now. She says then I can't let you in. I say how is he supposed to clean my teeth with a mask on and she says it is just to walk through the waiting room. How stupid is that? They don't tell me on the phone to bring a mask. The sign on the door doesn't say to wear a mask. Now I am standing outside dealing with this in a hundred degrees. So I say I guess we can reschedule do you want afternoon like today. My appointment was at four so I said yes. I stand for ten more minutes feeling like I am dying leaning against the outside wall. Finally she comes out and says is two ok and I say I need four like today and she says that won't be till July. I get mad. I have had enough of this fiasco and say I am leaving and I will call you when I am home. How long did she expect me to stand out there. I was out there like half an hour. I will not be calling until this is all over. How can they run a place like this? Are they crazy? I went to the restaurant next door to cool off and then savemart. When I got to savemart I went to the bathroom and my cheeks were all pink. Very terrible service. I will not be going back till after this coronavirus garbage is over. My son is in the process of getting braces on. The doctor we saw initially (Dr Futch) was pretty good, the thing that has me considering another office is the office staff. They're rude and have no customer service training. I called to verify an appointment for my son (explaining that I wasn't sure which office I was looking for and that I called them first since they're the ones who initially saw my son for his braces and referred me to another location for this once a month pediatric general dentist that comes down to see patients which needed to be done prior to them being able to put on his braces) and the receptionist said she couldn't find anything and asked who I was supposed to see. I was explaining to her who i spoke to, when I spoke to them, and again explaining that the doctor he's supposed to be seeing only comes once a month to do this type of general dentistry for their offices and before I could even finish my sentence she put me on hold, then forwarded me to their customer service 800 line without even saying anything to me or telling me that's what she was doing. Highly inconsiderate and unprofessional. Thankfully our insurance switched effective 1/1 and we now have way better coverage and can work on getting in elsewhere. UPDATE: I hung up from the 800 line after waiting on hold over 30 minutes and instead called a different office. I spoke to an employee from their N McCarran Blvd office who knew exactly what I was referring to once I explained it and told me I was looking for the Keystone & 4th street location. Instead of hanging up on me, she called their office directly and confirmed they were available then transferred me right to the person I needed to speak to in order to confirm the appointment I was inquiring about. So shout out to that individual from the other office. 100 times better than this offices professionalism. read more

First time visiting and I made the appointment with trepidation because of all the negative reviews. I am, however, the sort to try things for myself before I make judgement. I was told that my dental plan included; x-rays and a dental cleaning, it they felt it necessary. Don't we just get our teeth cleaned once a year? Why is that an evaluatable situation? Anyway, I waited for 1.5 hours and they cancelled my appointment which wasn't really that much of a surprise since it has happened to so many others. So... not a great first impression. They were, however, very speedy taking my money. My gut says RUN RABBIT RUN. So, I canceled my appointment and am finding a doctors office that has a more personal approach. The worst experience ever with a dental office. I called to make a teeth cleaning appointment. I thought that I would get xrays, cleaning and dental exam. No, no ,no.... My mouth is still sore from the first tech shoving the xrays in my mouth before she asked another tech to do it and it was better but not much. Then the denist came in reviewed the xrays.. No cavities, but I can use braces. Now let me tell you I am 62 years old. Please I would have done it in my 20s had I been able to afford it. He said I grind my teeth, I do not I do clench my teeth, but he says I need a night guard. Absolutely the worst!! Evidently, the dentist here picks and chooses what patients will be seen, even if you've had an appt for 2 weeks!! Cancelling with less than 24 hr notification and on top of it all, tried to blame the patient!! It took several lies by receptionist and manager, before the truth was reached which is the dentist was cancelling because they were short staffed!! So why not tell the truth? And because a driving distance was involved was told there are other offices. No kidding!! I (patient's mother), patient, other family members and friends will never go to this office or refer anyone to it and will report this to the other offices as well!! This particular office was picked as it was closer to patient's work, which of course is none of their business how far one drives!! Wow!! Unprofessional and beyond!! ima give y'all 2 stars. first off I went to their location near pizza plus for an emergency appointment due to my wisdom teeth. I'm not joking the dentist looked at my teeth for a minute and that was it. all I was given was ibuprofen for the pain. but I had all the symptoms of an infected wisdom tooth. i called the dentist the next day because the ibuprofen wasn't helping. I told the lady receptionist my wisdom tooth might be infected and I need it looked at again and possibly antibiotics. I was told "if you needed antibiotics the dentist would've gave them to you when you were here" like what ???? i was also told the dentist would call me back, I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. I had to go to the er at renown ON MY OWN for antibiotics ‍ the dentist didn't know/ didn't care. So what if I didnt go to the er they would've pushed my appointment back even further due to the infection? it just makes no sense. But the renown doctor knew just by looking that my tooth was infectedand how did I know that even myself and I'm not even a dentist ‍then at the oral surgeon location I got there almost 30 mins before my appointment and it still took like an hour and a half for them to come get me out the lobby. All in all you guys just need better service with your clients or something. read more

worst office ever, my wife had one appointment reschedule 3 times, then when she finally went to the office doctor was late almost 2 hours no work was done and another appointment was scheduled, when asked the "clerks" obviously already upset what was going on they kicked me out and denied further services because I was "yelling" and being "rude" that's what happens when you question question them, worst customer service and worst case even managers are the same, so completely avoiding this place would be the best move read more

Went in with INS for a Root Canal. The First 2 visits the gals at the counter made me run back and get cash for each visit. The 3rd and following visits they took my Credit Card. Keep in mind they said I had to pay as I go. The second to the last appointment after missing work there air compressor went out. Waited there for 4 hours for Serviceman to come fix it. He didn't show. Came back for the final visit. Paid for what they did to the manager in FULL with ZERO Balance. Note both those gals at the counter weren't there anymore. The Manager isn't either. 7 or 9 months later Absolute Bills me for those first 2 visits I paid for in Cash. Obviously those gals took the cash at the front counter. Been paying $10.00 a month for a while now. Am Handicap - Disabled and live on SSD. Have high Credit Score and NO Arrests. Live a long ways from the Attorney Generals Office in Carson City to file a Claim. Trust me I will get there soon. Very Very Unhappy with Absolute Dental...... read more

EVERYONE told me do not go to Absolute dental "It's trash!" Did I listen, no! I never leave reviews but this is unacceptable! I get that everyone is low staff I work customer service and I am one to know how hard it's been. Went in for a general check-up at 10:30 am (with appointment) and didn't get out until 1:20 pm. The filling out paperwork process was so long it was unbelievable, I have never waited this long filling out paperwork and not getting called on to see the dentist. While I was waiting and filling out my paperwork I had a small issue with my insurance because my name is not on the insurance card but I am in the insurance, and I had to call my insurance because the dental office insisted. Anyway, I got that resolved and then waited. Other people started coming in and I was still sitting there while other people who came after me were getting called on, it turned 12 so I brought it up to the ladies in the front office, and they finally said 5 min more. I stayed, and finally got into a chair to get some x-rays. A very nice dental assistant who is doing her internship at this location was assisting me. She did a very nice job. I cannot say that about Karla (another dental assistant). Karla had the audacity to come to my area and tell the young lady to hurry up because she needed the x-ray machine. I mean are you joking? That is so unprofessional! Not once did she tell her, but she kept on coming in and poking her head to see if she was almost done. I was having issues biting onto the plastic X-ray plate they make you bite to take the photos. The young lady was delightful took her time and we got it done in 12 min. So, thank you Karla for rushing the medical assistant who was so kind while helping me, I was surprised to see her keep her composure because that was unacceptable. The dentist finally sees me and he recommends a cleaning to which I agree. Mind you he was very professional and I had no problems with the dentist. (Red head lady) from the front office approaches me and explains the cost, to which I say let's get this done today. Red flag number two, she asks me if I have time and if I'm calm now? I'm shocked at that point I honestly didn't know whether I should leave or tell her off. So I respond, "I was calm the whole time." It took a moment to process because I was not at all mad about waiting I just asked if I was going to get in anytime soon or if I should reschedule? I didn't make a scene I just asked a question. So for her to ask me if I was "calm now" made me so upset! I still don't know why I stayed and proceeded to get my teeth cleaned. I "stayed calm" while she said that and followed her over to the hygienist, the hygienist was also very nice and answered all my questions. I had not sat on the chair when she insisted on payment before the procedure. "Elizabeth, can I collect payment ?" Idk if I'm just new but never have I been asked for payment before a procedure, not at my chiropractor, not medical, heck not even for my food at restaurants, and never at other dental offices. But hey Absolute dental is different. I said "ok ." Proceeded to sit down and she continued to ask for payment so I finally got comfortable and got my card out and gave it to her. Whoa, was she fast at collecting payment. The cherry on top was when she came back and said, "it went through." I still don't know why I stayed, I could have left at that moment the cleaning had not begun and yet I didn't because I was "calm." In my head, I said, "no shit it went through." I mean how am I going to just give someone a card with no money!? Well now I'm here upset because I decided to stay in that environment. The very shitty part was I chose to go to Absolute dental, and it was a bit out of reach for my insurance so I new I'd pay out of pocket a bit more. All because in 2018 I had the most wonderful experience at the Absolute dental in South Virginia Reno. There were a few other ladies in the front office who were very welcoming, maybe I just had bad luck with the one receptionist who was "helping" me. After the cleaning I went to the front office and met with a delightful receptionist, did not get her name (maybe Katherine) but she had some blue braces and was nice. Now I'm writing this to let whoever got to the end of my rant to just go somewhere else, and make sure your happy with your service. First red flag leave! read more

Pain Level 10+ and still they cannot help my daughter with her teeth!!! What??? So my daughter broke her jaw 6 weeks ago, along with 2 molars and 2 bicuspids in an accident. The nurse, doctor, and surgeon tells me they cannot do ANYTHING to help my 16-year old daughter with her pain for another 5+ months. Nothing at all. They recommend I take her to her doctor to get put on long-term pain medications. Have you ever had a toothache? Remember the pain when you breathe in and air hits the tooth? Or eating or drinking something that touches it. Now imagine being told: just deal with it for another 5 months. These guys do NOT care about you, the patient. Some rude woman called me telling me I'm being charged $25 this is my 2nd time missing an appointment and I'll be put on some kind of waiting list if I wanted to make another appointment...I called her she was even more rude than the 1st time very very dismissive and crazy to treat your customers like this.. This place is trash!!! I had a wonderful dentist and our insurance changed out of network. We decided to make appts here because they were on our insurance provider list. I called made appts asked if they took our insurance. Yes. Everything all good. I took afternoon off work for myself and my daughters appts and they call that morning to reschedule us. Ok. Fine. Today was my husbands appt. mind you this is 3 months out since I called to schedule. They call this morning to tell us our insurance is out of network. Wtf!!! Very terrible customer service. I saw a few reviews really ranting and insulting this place - for what seemed to be at least partially their own doing. Ah well... So our experience was pretty good. So first of all, they're open on Saturday - which most dentists aren't. Second, they're open on a HOLIDAY Saturday (after Thanksgiving) which is a big win for us - since we were in town - from out of town - and our dentist was no where to be found in or out of town. Was nice to find a place that could handle the immediate replacement of my wife's crown which came off at dinner the night before. Anyhow, we were glad to find them close by. We were VERY happy to find out that they could take care of my wife. Wasn't cheap, wasn't outrageous and the work was done right. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I went here after my insurance changed and after only having great experiences at previous dentists. I have NEVER had a cavity and have take great care of my teeth. I was pulled in my the promise of a whitening kit. As soon as my X-rays were over the dentist wanted to immediately set up my appointment to fill 12 cavities . TWELVE! I had just seen my precious dentist six months previously, there was no way I had twelve cavities. I immediately started crying in fear and frustration, demanded my X-rays and overnighted them to my godfather who is a dentist in La Jolla. He confirmed, I had ZERO cavities. I did tons of research and found an honest dentist who is on my insurance, he also confirmed that I did not have any cavities but that some dentists will fill teeth to fill them for $$$$ and once they are filled the patient has no proof or recourse. read more

I have been going to this dentist for almost 3 years now, and I should've switched dentists a long time ago, but unfortunately I tried to give them more chances than they deserve. They are constantly canceling appointments because there's "no doctor in that day" , but why would they schedule that day in the first place? I also got my wisdom teeth removed at a different location for the same practice, and despite me calling twice due to complications after surgery, was never called back or scheduled for a post-op appointment. So basically they did my surgery back in September and have yet to contact me about coming back in. They are outrageous in their pricing, even with insurance, and yet still treat you with disrespect as if you didn't just pay them a large sum. I am not a fan of this place at all and want to warn others that they do not provide the best dental care to their own ability. Definitely look for other places before trying this one! read more
