Brought to them for front end work. Replace control arms and alignment. $1600 Picked up the truck and alignment was not right. Vehicle pulled hard and steering wheel was not straight. They requested I bring it back. They had already had it for a week and and a half. I had to return to arizona for cancer treatment. By the time I got to arizona , my tires were destroyed. We were passing through the Yakima area on vacation from Oregon when our truck suddenly and inexplicably died. We had it towed over 60 miles to Absolute Auto. I called the shop in the am explaining the situation and they told me they could look at it that day. Mike was fantastic. He immediately dropped what he was doing (and the shop looked very busy) and made like I was his most important customer. He diagnosed the problem that morning, ordered the part. A wire within the ignition tumbler had burned up. The part had to be shipped from the east coast. The next day, the part arrived and the part was immediately installed. Mike is extremely competent and professional. Pricing was more than fair. I would absolutely recommend Absolute Auto to anyone that needs a mechanic in the Yakima area. Went here about 2 years ago because my truck had a strange smell of oil coming from one of the wheels. First off he looked at the truck and diagnosed without charging me... maybe he saw a very pregnant woman and felt pity or maybe he really just is a great and honest mechanic. (I think it's the latter) It was near the holidays when I went and needed repairs, and the mechanic worked a way of keeping the truck when we would be out of town. We had only one vehicle at the time so had not many options for leaving the truck. We haven't had any more mechanic needs since but would highly recommend this place. read more

It feels good to know a mechanic you can trust. The Yak can be a shady place from time to time but when I drove all the way across the country and arrived here my car needed help. I went to several shops all of them tried to shive me in one way or another. Then I was recommended this place and I'm so glad I was! I just want to warn anyone and everyone. Do not take your vehicle to this shop. This shop is currently not licensed, insured or Bonded. I learned this the hard way. If you call Washington state L&I (please contact me for the phone number) You will also learn that the business has been dissolved. Funny thing is this all happened after I won a lawsuit against him for the wonderful work he had done on my truck (which left me on the side of the road) I'm out more money than I would like to share. Mike was the name of the owner when i had my vehicle taken to their shop. While my car was under their care it was broken into, my $1200 stereo system was stolen along with college books and everything else i had in the vehicle. Mike told me it was not their responsibilty and basically gave me a big F.U. By only offering me $250 to replace the stolen items! That might have covered the cost of 1 of the books at most. Beware of Absolute Auto, there are way more responsible auto shops in the yakima area, like White Pass Garage to name one. They will treat your vehicle like it was their own. read more

I needed brakes for my ford focus called mike and i told him i would bring it in Monday.After inspecting he was honest enough to call me and say rotors where right on the line .My call to replace or not.My gut feeling most brake places would tell you you definitely need.I decided to get them .To my surprise I got a call a couple of hours later saying my car was ready for pickup. I just found that Absolute Auto has a web site and I wanted everyone to know that I have used this business for several years and find them to to do excellent work at a fair price. I never feel that I did not get what I paid for. They never try to push something on you that is not needed and always let you know what they are doing. I had the top of an oil check probe break off. Others told me they would have to take the transmission pan off to get the job done. Absolute did the job at a fraction of the cost, saving me much. Just heading home on a road trip from Leavenworth back to Reno, NV with my 08' Subaru Impreza when a rock ended up wedged on my brake pad, halting my trip home instantly. Our plan of getting back on the road as soon as possible looked bleak because of it being a Sunday. We called and called around to any place within a 100 mile radius to hopefully get us in to get the car back up and running. Low and behold, Absolute Auto answered their phone and offered to see us. We got ourselves a flatbed and were delivered to their front door. I never got the gentleman's name who helped us, but I'm assuming it was either a senior mechanic or the owner. He was very pleasant, allowed me to stand inside and watch him work on my car and in the end, donated all of his time and expertise to getting us back on the road. So I have a 2004 Ford 150. The cam phasers and timing chain all went it out which is a huge expensive job. Called multiple shops no one knew how to fix it or didn't want to fix.
