Jeff once took time out of his busy workday to remove some stubborn Ford (of course) lugnuts from my F-150. They are two-piece and tend to separate with even slight torque, but Jeff stuck with it until all six of those suckers were off. He didn't even ask for any $$, but I paid him for his time anyway. Jeff and his wife Sarah are good people, and bend over backwards to treat their clients right. I recommend them to all my family and friends whenever I'm asked where they should take their vehicle for repairs. Possibly even more important, they are REAL people with a sense of humor! Not robots who stoically follow "corporate policy" while disingenuously asking if there's "anything else they can do to help you" after f**king up your vehicle. 5 stars for Jeff, Sarah and the boys!

Called Mattawa Tire and spoke with Phil the owner, he said "bring it in and we'll take care of it." Within a couple of hours they had us back on the road for a great price. They were meticulous, honest and concerned about me and my safety. There were custom lug nuts to be ordered, I picked them up the next day and they gave me the tool to unlock them - rather than charge me for it. (I think it's the latter) It was near the holidays when I went and needed repairs, and the mechanic worked a way of keeping the truck when we would be out of town. For a diagnosis, they just repeated back when I had told them and tried to charge me $179 for that. The car needed a relatively easy 2 hour repair but they clearly didn't want to do it by suggesting a new engine. I took our car in this morning for an oil change as well as asking them to check out a possible suspension issue in the front end. Terry and Valentine were both personable and knowledgeable, both taking the time to discuss the suspension issue. Everyone in the shop was friendly and very professional. The shop was one of the cleanest and well organized I've ever seen. Our previous shop in Portland was the exact opposite. Erik went for a test ride with me to assess the suspension issue and immediately had some ideas on what the problem might be. Voila! The oil got changed and the suspension issue turned out to be nothing. Prices were incredibly reasonable and I left with a feeling of confidence knowing our car had been expertly tended to.
