Absolute Auto Glass - Windshield Installation & Repair Near Me - Placerville, California

Paid out of pocket about $100 more than the actual insurance deductible thinking that I would get a better quality of glass than Safelight provides which is who my insurance recommends however I got the exact same windshield and had to return because my windshield wipers were offset by 2 inches damaging the paint job to my hood and I have a whistling noise that did not exist before. Also had to clean grease off of my fabric headliner and the handles of my doors. Additionally the windshield provided blocks a portion of my VIN #, I guy that's good for parking infotainment but clearly shows poor quality on the part of the manufacturing of original equipment manufacturer equivalent products.! read more

I had a nightmare experience at Safelight. Got treated right here. Recommended by AAA repair.

10/10 would recommend. Very easy to work with and they had my window done quick. Replaced my back passenger window.

Fast, efficient, friendly service. What more can I say? They're awesome!

THEY ARE THE BEST. Shon and the entire group will always go above and beyond to get things done. Whether it's classic cars, sports cars or normal cars I have taken everything to absolute and always been very impressed. They do what they say and say what they do. I will never go anywhere else. read more

Did a good job installing the new windshield and got it done just short of an hour. So good there. Unfortunately it was clear there was no effort to protect the inside of the truck from debris during the removal and installation process and no effort to clean up afterwards. Including greasy hand marks on the outside of the truck. This was very clear because I just had the pickup washed, vacuumed, dusted and vinyl dressing applied inside and out the day before at Suds Car Wash & Detail in El Dorado hills. So no recommendations and no repeat business for Absolute Glass in Placerville. If you should decide to give them a try ask them what they do to protect your vehicle during installation and cleaning up afterward and carefully inspect your vehicle before driving away. read more

We bought a used car and noticed a couple chips in the windshield. Brought it in to get them fixed, they said it would be about 30 min. We went to get breakfast but Crimson called us just as we got there. Crimson told us our chips had already been repaired, but they put another layer of resin on them to seal them up well. They could have charged me for fixing them and I would have been none the wiser. They charged us nothing. Will take every vehicle that has glass problems to them. Honest people are a great commodity today! read more

While on vacation in Lake Tahoe, our vehicle was attacked by a pine cone, which shattered our windshield. Having two days left in paradise, we needed to find a company to fix our windshield quick. The local company was booked until next week, "sorry can't help you" not even fake empathy; a national brand company was booked for three weeks "oh no, wish we could, but we can't" there was my fake empathy! The last place that I called was Absolute Auto Glass in distant Placerville (hour and a half to two hours away), which is why I didn't call them first. With fingers crossed, I asked customer service rep, Crimson, if they had my windshield in stock; if they offered mobile service at Lake Tahoe and if they could do it like tomorrow...YES, YES and YES! Score! The installer, Tyler, came up and within 40 minutes we had a brand new windshield! What a great company, everyone who helped us was very courteous and professional. If we ever go round 2 with another pine cone, we know who to call...ABSOLUTE AUTO GLASS!!! Absolutely! read more

I did a very stupid thing! I left my Jeep back window open. So, when I went to open the garage, it locked against the window and then finally exploded all over the place! I couldn't believe how much glass there was. It looked like a bomb had hit it. The mechanism that works the wiper, and arms that open the window were all bent and torn. I take very good care of my car, and I was upset that it would never look great again. I called Absolute and they got me in the same day and in one hour, they not only finished it but it looked as if it had not happened!!! I could not be happier. These guys tinted my windows when I first purchased my vehicle. I will never let anyone else do glass work on my vehicles.... I have nothing but AAA praise for Absolute Glass. Thank you so much!!! My experience was contrary to other reviewers. I finally decided to get my 2004 F150 windshield replaced after it had a crack in it for 6 years in order to sell it. I contacted Shon and simply stated, "here's what I want and here's when I want, can you do it?" No problems, in and out with great workmanship. I went to the Forni Rd. location and there was no dog there-except for mine! Customer service was exactly what I expected and the pricing was the best around. read more

I got all 7 of my windows done on my new car (Ford sedan) months ago. Shon was so helpful and knowledgeable on what tints are legal, what would be the best, and what would look good. Unlike Guy P I did not see or hear about a "circling dog." The actual tint was great. No bubbles, creases, or scratches. I would go to these guys all over again. I compared it with other window guys in Placerville it was the cheapest quote/price I could find. Well worth it!! read more

I have used them twice in the past two years. They do good work quickly for the best price!
