Hands down the best ghost tour I've done. (I've done Savannah, Providence RI, New York, Dublin, Wilmington NC, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some....) This tour was scary and they kept it small. Just 7 of us. There was one very knowledgeable guide and an assistant (she walked into the areas before we got there, took care of set-up, etc.) This tour company is a well-greased machine- runs smoothly and very organized. I loved the stories. I loved the ambiance. There were several times when I had chills up my arms. I also appreciated that they did not make it kitchy or cheesey. All of the stories were authentic and well-told. Some tours focus too much on the history and not enough on the ghosts, some focus too much on the theatrics, which disneyfy it too much. This tour was just perfect. Loved every minute and I hope some day I'll go back and be able to do it again. read more

I had a wonderful time going on a ghost and history with this company for my birthday! It was a freezing night but the stories were so riveting at the actual locations of the creepy and interesting happenings with a brisk walk in between that the cold faded into the background. Out tour guide was sweet, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable of the history of the area and the supernatural reportings. I'd definitely go again with another group, especially during Chistmastime when Old Town is so charmingly decorated. read more

It was great! We had a small group of 8. It was perfect for an cool October night. Spooky stuff! It was an awesome experience! I recommend everyone check it out! Thanks Bren & Niles!!! read more

Three cheers for the ghost tour! My husband, cousin and I had a blast with our tour guide, Charlie. There was so much information during this tour that my husband, myself nor my cousin (who is both born and raised out here in Albuquerque.) ..did not know about Old Town. Charlie took us to creepy places & told us great stories in history about all the spooky insidents that have happened here in Old Town. It was great to have a fun, friendly and entertaining tour guide. Boy, he ready paints a picture! Charlie was entertaining and Old Town is beautiful. If anyone wants a ghost tour, be sure to book a tour with Charlie. read more

I don't remember what we've paid for our tour but i remember being extremely satisfied. First of all, i don't believe in ghosts, neither does my wife. But we had nothing to do on a weekday night of our route 66 trip so we did this because it fitted in our trip perfectly. It's odd, it's quirky, that's basically all we needed. The tour was awesome, the two guides were really profesional and answered all our questions, they even made us believe in ghosts a little bit. The stories they told were really something and if you know that the tour was held after dark you know that's a recipe for some scary good times! Props for the whole team, we loved this experience! read more

What a hidden treasure in Old Town! Charlie is such a captivating story teller you will be transported to yesteryear. I cannot express how awesome this experience was. It is a beautiful area to learn a little history and a listen to tales of the mysteries around us!! (They also waited with me until my uber arrived- which made me feel very safe!) read more

We went on the late night tour. It was heavy on local history, which I love dand had read about before from another yelper. The chapel was the spookiest part of the tour. It was a two hour tour without a lot of walking and multiple opportunities to sit down. Unfortunately the portable DVD player wasn't delivered to your location so we missed out on seeing some of the video evidence. I would try another one of their tours or recommend it to a friend. read more

We did the ghost tour on the spur of the moment Saturday night. My date had done the tour before, but I was a ghost tour virgin. What a blast! Charlie Frates was our guide on this excellent adventure, and was superb! His knowledge of Old Town and the spirits there is incredibly vast. And he really knows how to tell a story! Everyone in Albuquerque should do this! And remember to bring tip money. Charlie earns it, and deserves it. read more

A quick concise primer on the history of "Old Town" Albuquerque. The price is right. these tours often come down to the guide. We had Pat Brown, an enthusiastic presenter of legends and lore of Old Town and, like his bio states, "especially well versed in the brutal hangings, lynchings and gunfights from the wild days gone by." If you're lucky to get Pat ask about the receipe for "sheep blood glaze", it's not what you think! The hour and a half went by too quick. read more

We went on this tour last night and really enjoyed it. Charlie is a great tour guide. Misty was his assistant and she was very friendly. We enjoyed learning about Old Town Albuquerque. read more

My family and I attended the 8pm ghost tour! It was fun! The stories are interesting and keep you listening for more! Our tour guide was Charlie. He kept our attention the whole time! He puts life into the story telling, and he adds some humor! He is genuine, and experienced! This is a tour I look forward to taking again this summer! read more

We loved the tour! Our tour guide was with Charlie Frates. He was very knowledgable about the area, and he had a great way of telling the stories. He took us to some pretty creepy places. The company seems to be well organized and it was easy to find. Also, Craig was very nice and helped us. We plan to take more people on this tour, maybe when its not the busy Halloween season. One thing, you should bring cash to tip the tour guides. A++++ read more

Our tour guide, Tammy, had great knowledge of the Old Town History and was a great story teller. We didn't see a ghost but felt like we could at any moment. There is a lot of rich and sordid history packed into Old Town Albuquerque. We would definitely recommend for anyone interested in the best walking tour of OTA. We left the young kiddos at home - was worried would be too much for them. But our guide would be able to accommodate all ages, so this would be just fine for the whole family. We'll be sure to have the kiddos with us next time. We had a wonderful time. read more

Craig was our tour guide and he was very informative and had a great attitude. My only issue with the whole tour is that it took too long . It said about 90 minutes, and we were there close to three hours. Killed our time to the museum. So, put this at the end of your day, and don't plan on anything else afterwards. My kids had fun. read more

This tour was a lot of fun! It was my first time, but my friend who lives out here has been a few times. She said the tour is mostly different each time. I definitely want to do it again when I'm in town again. Also, our tour guide, Charlie, was really charismatic. That guy could probably read a dictionary and it would be entertaining! read more

Craig & Nancy were awesome! They made the tour fun, interesting and interactive. I was traveling with my Mom for the weekend and she loves haunted stories, and I wanted to hear more about the history of Old Town so this was a good compromise for the both of us. There were many interesting and entertaining stories about the past of Old Town. I learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area, it is a unique tour, and it is really fun! read more

My wife and I just left the History tour and it was great! Charlie was very knowledgeable and provided a mix of humor to make it engaging. We were the only ones that booked the tour, so we experienced the private tour. Would definitely recommend this to those that want to experience the history and awe of Old Town! read more

A fun and spooky time! Our guide Craig was both knowledgeable and entertaining on our tour - and was even kind enough to escort us back to our car in case the hatchet-wielding ghost know to frequent the parking lot decided to make an appearance! Highly recommend this tour. read more

This was definitely something we planned to do on our visit from Georgia. This was our first ghost tour of any type, and Tammy and Charlie certainly delivered! I was looking for a historical tour that went into some more uncommon history, and the ghost tour gives you exactly that. There were a couple of younger children in the group, and Tammy and Charlie censored it enough to not offend. Tammy also had to compete with a band in the square for half the tour, and she made sure everyone could hear before continuing. They also stayed after the tour to answer some of our questions and expand on some of the stories which we appreciated. Highly recommend if you're looking for a historical tour with a supernatural twist. read more

This was a great way to learn more about Old Town! We did a private tour and it was well worth our time. I will be recommending a tour to my friends when they visit. It's one thing to simply visit Old Town, but it's even better to know more about its history. PJ was very knowledgeable and had a lot of information that only a local person would know. Highly recommend you schedule a tour! read more

The tour was awesome! Having a knowledgeable tour guide was great but having one that was energetic and passionate makes it all worthwhile! Joshua ( and Riley) were the best! From the beginning to the very end, they kept you involved and fully immersed in the ghost history and really brought the stories to life. I would definitely recommend this to any ghost aficionados out there; particularly the moonlight tour at 10 pm, which provides the necessary ambiance. read more

Awesome tour! Super creepy and our guide Joshua was great! Had an awesome time. There were many different haunted sites on the tour and all had great story's and even recordings of supposed ghosts talking. The tour ran a little long but there were no complaints here! I didn't want it to end. read more

Craig did an outstanding job! Super knowledgeable and able to adjust the retellings to be appropriate to our age group (we had two children with us) and still be entertaining for everyone. I would highly recommend the tour and Craig (and to dress warmly)! read more

This ghost tour is one of the coolest tours I have ever experienced. If you love to listen to story telling this is definitely for you. The tour guide, Sebastian, was great at explaining the stories and telling you exactly what happened in specific destinations along the way. This tour of old town is enhanced by local historical context. I downloaded Yelp just to give a good review and I would even say the tour exceeded my expectations. read more

Craig was our tour guide for a private tour for a group of 4. We had such a fun time. Craig was very patient, informative and you can tell how much he loved his job. I would recommend doing a tour and not only learning about the history of old town, but to hear and possibly experience any encounters with the supernatural. We all had a wonderful evening. Thank you, Craig! read more

We had a great time! The tour was fun and informative. Tammy was amazing!! She went above and beyond to make the experience superior. I really enjoyed that we learned a lot about New Mexico history as well as the backstories of the local ghosts. This tour is a wonderful and interesting way to experience old town! read more

Great tour, was very entertaining and informative. Our tour guide Craig was incredible and would recommend him to anyone.

This was a really awesome experience! I did the full moon tour. The late night, full moon setting really upped the atmosphere. Totally awesome! The stories were well told and I found myself totally entranced. Mikey and his partner were awesome performers and they were also really kind and funny. I really enjoyed the EVPs that were played throughout the tour, too. Totally creepy. I want to do the tour again the next time I pass through town! read more

Even though my mom and I were the only people (due to Covid-related slower tourism), Charlie was enthusiastic and gave us a great tour. We basically had a private tour just for us. Charlie really knows his history and is a good story teller. Even though I've been to Old Town before, and my mother has lived in Albuquerque for a few years, we both learned a lot of interesting stories about Old Town that we had no idea about. I would recommend this as a good Covid-safe, outdoor activity for anyone that likes good stories. read more

The ghost tour was amazing. We had so much fun. Charlie is engaging and funny. We took two 11 year olds and it was appropriate (as long as you're not too prudish). We learned about NM ghosts from territorial times to current day hauntings. Unfortunately, we didn't see a real ghost but it was all in good fun. read more

My wife and I just got done with our very first ghost tour, and this was such a great experience. Craig was our main tour guide and Lynn (sp?) was the assistant and they just made it a lot of fun. We learned a lot about the history of the area, and we enjoyed hearing the way that Craig told the different ghost stories. I liked how they encouraged each of us to take pictures and try to capture something paranormal. We would highly recommend this activity to our family and friends and hope to visit again from Washington and hear some more stories! read more

Ghost tour is awesome! Super fun enthusiastic guide as well! She was very entertaining, and old town at night is beautiful!

What a fun night! Charlie was the tour guide along with James his assistant. Charlie has the best voice for a tour guide. He was such a good story teller and made it seem like at any minute we were going to see a ghost! That made it extra special. It was good learning about Old 'town way back in the day and makes me feel glad that I didn't grow up then, way too scary of times! Thanks again for a very enjoyable evening. read more

My girlfriend and I were visiting from LA and with me being a big paranormal fanatic, the ghost tour was something we had to do. Out of the many ghost tours we've done in all our travels, this was by far the most interesting and entertaining! And this is coming from people who have done tours on the Queen Mary and the Whaley House in Old Town San Diego. Charlie was our amazing tour guide, and he did not disappoint at all. He went over all the history and lore of old town and takes you to the various areas where ghost sightings have occurred. I swear I could hear him talk for hours if I could, he has a great talent in public speaking and keeping your attention at all times with his stories. He by far exceeded our expectations and was extremely entertaining. If you have the time and don't mind strolling around old town in a beautiful warm summer evening, this tour is something I would highly recommend! Additionally, tipping your tour guide is something I would highly encourage as you can tell they put a great deal of effort and care into their tour. read more

Awesome ghost tour! The ghost expert/guide, Charlie, really knew his ABQ history, had a great sense of humor, and was really engaging (and also a totally nice guy--stuck around to chat with us for a bit afterward). Definitely spooky and fun for even "non-believers", as there is a lot of interesting historical info about the area (like the origins of "old town", the affects of various floods over the years, etc...we went with my wife's dad--a lifelong Albuquerque resident--and he said he didn't know any of that stuff!) Charlie also encouraged us to take pictures at each stop along the tour and review them for signs of paranormal activity! Fun thing to do for a family outing, date night, or even a solo traveler (all of the above were in our group). Highly recommended! read more

Our tour guide was Charlie, and he was incredible! He was very knowledgable, interesting, and funny. He answered all of our questions and made it a great way for us to learn about the history of Old Town while getting a little spooked. Without a doubt, I would recommend this tour to anyone in the area - locals looking for a new thing to do, or visitors like ourselves wanting to find something different but informational. It's reasonably priced, and well worth what you pay. They use videos, photos, and EVP recordings to enhance the stories behind the ghosts who are said to haunt Old Town. Charlie was a great guide and we enjoyed our time on his tour! Definitely do this when in Albuquerque, you can't miss it! read more

There is a free historical tour of Old Town which leaves every Saturday at 10am from the lobby of the Hotel Albuquerque. Charlie Frates was the guide the day we took it.
