This was the first tour we did when we arrived in Albuquerque and let me tell you it set the whole tone for the next day. The stories were amazing and night had just enough flickering street lights that went on and off to really make the stories that amazing. The guides where amazing and gave so much interesting details along with laughter that while I didn't have nightmares or run screaming down the streets in terror, I did start questioning every sound and what each speck in the photos are. Will definitely come again with my older kids, they will love it! read more

Highly recommend for locals, as well as tourists. We took our kids on the tour and had so much fun. Fascinating history, fun stories, very interesting local history. Gigi and Charlie did a great job guiding our tour. Our whole family has spent time this evening chatting and researching old town after we got home. I've lived in Albuquerque 20 years and didn't know much history, beyond the surface level, of old town. It was great to learn about the town, and area, that we love. Give this a try. It's a great chance to spend some quality, device free, time. Even my teen was engrossed in the stories on the tour. read more

First time visiting Albuquerque and decided to book a tour. If you're into ghost stories or history, you'll LOVE this! My tour guide was Jamey and he was not only very knowledgeable, but also a fabulous storyteller. He and the guide assisting, Isabelle were very kind and made sure everyone was safe walking around Old Town. Highly highly recommend! Sharing a pic of Jayme, my dog who came on the tour with me and the plaza where "Sarge" the confederate soldier's ghost has been seen. read more

Our family, including two teens, thoroughly enjoyed this ghost tour. We were able to see back alley areas of Old Town Albuquerque, including some very historic architecture that we would not have otherwise seen. Brad, our tour guide, was very informative and entertaining without being over the top. He had a laid back attitude that we needed after a long day on the road. His stories of the local haunts kept us engaged, and his historical knowledge fascinated us. We didn't see any paranormal activity, but the EVP recordings that we listened to added an extra element of creepiness. I highly recommend this tour. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, as the pavement in Old Town is uneven and you will be on your feet for nearly two hours. read more

A group of coworkers and I went on the Old Town ghost tours. Charlie, our tour guide, and Sam, our security guy were great! They kept our group entertained with great stories and kept us all interested. Definitely worth the price and a fun experience for people of any age :) read more

We were passing through on our way home and decided to stop in Albuquerque for the night. My daughter has been asking A TON of questions about ghosts so when I came across this tour I thought we would try it. Craig was our guide and he was truly amazing! He had the perfect mix of history and ghost stories, and he answered my daughter's questions at the end with patience, thoughtfulness, and left some room for her to decide for herself. It was evident that Craig loves his city and the rich history he gets to share with others. I would recommend this tour for anyone. Craig has an amazing energy about him and makes sure everyone in the group is engaged and having fun. read more

Took the 8pm walking tour with Brad, they limited the number of guests and of course masks were required. Kept our distance and the tour was fantastic! Extremely enjoyable, priced just right. Brad was extremely informative kept our interest for the 2 plus hour walking tour. Highly recommend this tour. read more

What a great ghost tour (learned even more Old Town history) we had last night! Alison was our guide with Edwin as back up (& comic relief) on a chilly slightly dark night. I've been on a ghost tour in New Orleans that mostly pushed drinking & buying trinkets (& cost twice as much) but actually heard about the "ghostly goings on" in Old Town for past 250+ years with this duo. Alison did a very good job conveying not only the "apparitions" but also what was happening at the same time from an historical & societal perspective. Sounds like this company also does its own paranormal investigations in the area, so it's not just a "tourist trap" business. Both Alison & Edwin were quick with flashlight usage as not all streets & walkways are perfectly level, which was much appreciated on this dark night. Next time, will do their history tour, for sure! read more

Took the daytime walking tour during a short visit with my son. The tour guide Misty was very informative and friendly. We both left the tour with a list of places we wanted to visit and explore further - highly recommend! read more

We really wanted to do a family friendly, outdoor activity while we were visiting Old Town Albuquerque so we decided to do a private hybrid historical/ghost tour during the day. There were 3 generations of us, all ages and tastes, but, everyone had a great time. Charlie was our guide and he has an amazing gift for storytelling. He was great with our 3 year old and we could tell he was thoughtful about keeping the tour age appropriate without us having to ask. The walk was leisurely and there were plenty of resting spots where we could sit during the tour so everyone was able to participate comfortably. We definitely recommend AbqTours on your next visit! read more

We were for something different to do with the kids, and this ghost tour was perfect. Our guide did a great job of mixing the ghost stories with the history of old town and kept everyone engaged. It's an easy walk and lasts a couple of hours but I could have listened longer. Nothing too scary for kids to handle. Just the right amount of creepy. We'll definitely do another tour in the future. read more

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Charlie. I went on the tour just for something to do on my first night in Albuquerque, and I had the best time. This is a must do if you're visiting!! read more

My husband, son and I attended the moonlight ghost tour March 11th and had the very-entertaining Charlie as our tour guide. The night could not have been more beautiful. Each landmark we stopped at had a unique story, and the dim lighting of the old buildings and the quiet streets set against a full moon created a mystical experience for all of us!   We learned a lot about the history of Albuquerque and some of the well-known ghosts in the Old Town area. It was a very pleasant, informative, 2-hour tour. Charlie is a gifted actor and got our 9-year old son engaged, so this is a tour people of all ages can enjoy.   We thank our wonderful guide Charlie for making this such a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those who love history and spooky ghost stories! read more

This was my first ghost tour and it was great. Shane is a great story teller and Edwin was great with my kids.

We were looking for something fun and new to do in ABQ and this was the perfect activity!!! Our guide, Mykie, was immensely entertaining and well versed in the history of the area. He was also very lively and funny throughout the entire tour! Would definitely recommend if you're looking to hear some spooky stories and truly fascinating history on the area! Ps. Bring cash so you can tip the amazing duo, they definitely earn it! read more

Hubby and I did the 2 hour ghost tour on a Sunday night at 10pm. Meredith was our tour guide and very very nice and a great storyteller. Worth the trip and there is definitely some ghostly things that have happened here. We would try one of their day tours if we had time as well. read more

Absolutely loved it! We did the 10pm tour with Charlie and Lin. It was an amazing mix of history and creepy tales. Charlie was captivating and did a great job including our skeptic young son. By the end of the tour he was a believer for sure. We were aware that we wouldn't be able to enter the buildings prior to the tour. That info -- as well as other helpful info -- was very clearly communicated on the website and subsequent emails prior to our reserved date. While it would be cool to go in these places during the tour I'm sure it would be a logistical nightmare to arrange with all of the stakeholders. On that note I will keep an eye out for special ghost hunting tours offered and will visit the locations during operating hours. I'd highly recommend this tour, but please have realistic expectations. read more

Attended the July 17 Ghost Tour of Old Town. Left disappointed and wished it would have been much better. Guide was very friendly as was ticket window person, but the tour fell short when it came to authenticity and mood. It seemed more like a "funny tour with a few colorful ghost stories" instead of a serious, focused tour. Unfortunately, this tour pales in comparison to other ghost tours I have taken around the country. Real ghost tours should not be funny, full of corny jokes and hokey tales. What an opportunity Old Town has for a very intense and somewhat scary ghost tour at night. Please rethink your approach to this tour. Also, try to include more accurate dates, names, facts and figures when giving the tour. If various events actually took place, especially those in the 20th century, then have accurate proof. I liked our guide as he was a very nice person and even gave him a $10 tip, however, I just wish he was more serious and focused in his style. Perhaps he was nervous or just starting out? read more

My sister and I went on this tour last night with Charlie as our guide and he was amazing! It was quick walking tour but the stories were amazing and it was a perfect Sunday night! Took a tour tonight with my son. We both loved it! Even if you're not a believer in ghosts, this tour is great. Charlie was our guide and told some amazing stories about old town Albuquerque. Beautiful night of story telling. Took the 8:00 pm public tour with our teens 17 and 14. The group size was 17 and didn't feel too large. Charlie was our tour guide and he does an amazing job of weaving each of the 5 stories. It did rain quite heavily during about 30 minutes but the guide had covered spots for each of his stories and we stayed almost completely dry. This tour was a FULL 2 hours so know that the 8:00 pm tour won't end until 10:00pm. Each story at each spot takes between 15-20 minutes there are some places to sit at some spots but be prepared to stand for long periods of time. Great for families of all ages! The 14 year old said it was her favorite activity of our time in ABQ. read more

My teenage sons and I did the walking ghost tour of Old Town Albuquerque. Our guides were Erica and Linn. They did a wonderful job, the stories were engaging and told by a master storyteller. We got to learn a little bit about the history of ABQ and the colorful past of that town. read more

Yesterday, I went on the ghost tour with Charlie as our guide. My mom and I had a great time learning about old town and we loved the detailed ghost stories. We enjoyed learning Albuquerque's history while standing in the exact spots of the tales. Charlie was very entertaining and engaging, and I didn't want the tour to end. All of the stories, ghost and history, were fascinating and memorable. I will be booking a tour again the next time I visit Albuquerque. read more

Yesterday we had an outstanding walking tour of Albuquerque's historic district with Edie. She was informative and lively. We appreciated the fact that she walked at our pace and found places for us to sit in the shade while she described the different areas. It was very interesting that she had a book of vintage photos so that she could really make history come alive comparing "then and now". It was a great way to learn about the changes in a century of history read more

Not your typical scene at 8 pm on Dia De Los Muertos, in Olde Towne, Albuquerque. Literally - the only life we saw was a black cat hanging out by the very old church, next to Mary art in the tree. But you know, 2020. Covid has the city under tight lockdown so silence and an eerie darkness permeated the air as we departed from the towne centre to look for and learn about the ghost, haunted spaces; and maybe see some orbs. Bradd, was charged with leading a believer, a skeptic and an excitable curious folk amongst his small group. Bradd was brilliant. He was patient with questions and interjections and truly displayed a love for Old Towne and a passion for his work- despite some major playful challenges by the group skeptic. In the end, it was nothing less than educational and far surpassed any expectations we had. Would take this tour again in a heartbeat. To Bradd: I hope Scarlett becomes a reality for you! We didn't find the wood chips, brass cannons or Scarlett's burial place- but it wasn't for lack of trying. read more

We went on the ghost tour this evening and our guide Craig was great! Im still spooked as I write this!!! He had a perfect mix of history and spooky stories! Would definitely recommend!!! We had so much fun on our tour with Allison last night! It was just the right amount of creepy and historical! Super fun time!!

I took a history tour a few weeks ago. I'm giving this 1 star because while the tour guide was very knowledgeable about aspects of Old Town's history, he told it strictly from the perspective of Anglo settlers which was very uncomfortable and unfair to the other groups who have inhabited the area before and after Europeans arrived. Our guide routinely referred to Native Americans as "the enemy" when describing how the settlement was built to protect against their attacks. He said this without discussing why some Native American groups would attack the settlement (because Anglos never did anything wrong). At one point, he told me (a white woman) that if they had gotten through the walls I would have been taken captive and forced to have "Indian" babies for the rest of my life, or something to that effect. He also spoke about Native Americans as if they were one cultural group, which they are not. The Comanche and the Navajo had very different cultures and interactions with settlers, for example. It was disappointing that our tour guide never acknowledged this, either because he didn't know or didn't think it was worth mentioning. He also spoke about slavery and the confederate presence in Albuquerque in a far too flattering light. This included saying that the confederate flag couldn't be flown in Old Town due to "political correctness" and telling a battle story from the perspective of the confederates before they were defeated and lost control of the territory. When telling us about a prominent historical figure's slave ownership in Old Town, he said that the slaves were "well-fed, clothed and housed" as if that made it OK for the guy to own people. The whole time, I was wondering what this guy would do if the people on the tour were not white, as we all were. The final straw leading to the 1-star rating was how I told the tour guide that I didn't want to be in a picture for the website and he told me to turn around so that my face wouldn't be in it, then took the picture anyway. It was super weird and inconsiderate. read more

My husband and I saw an ad for the Ghost Tour in a brochure for Albuquerque and thought it sounded interesting so we booked for Monday evening (May 20). We spent the day in Old Town, got some dinner, and then headed over to begin the tour. We found out quickly that we were the only two who had booked, so we ended up with a private tour! Charlie, our guide, was amazing and thorough and very entertaining. We learned a lot and got a bit spooked a few times. We highly recommend this tour! read more

A little hokey. The guide was new and didn't have his presentation style down yet. It was beautiful being able to see Old Town at night and to hear some history, but the sheer ridiculousness of the ghost stories made us leave the tour early. I guess I'm not a ghost story kind of girl. read more

This is one of the best local history/ghost tours that I have ever been on. Old Town has such a long and interesting past, and the guides do a fantastic job of telling it's creepy and gruesome tales in a way that ranges from funny to bone-chilling. Plus, the guides I had on my tour, Angie and Sebastian, were also very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Whether you are a true believer or a die-hard sceptic, you will enjoy this tour. I highly recommend it on your next trip to Albuquerque. read more
