Prior to the start of Hurricane Season 2024 I identified a number of trees that I needed to fall to eliminate the threat to my property - I had a few tree services solicit me to cut the trees and haul off the debris, unfortunately they never followed up and I certainly wasn't going to chase them down to hand over my money. Frazier from Above and Beyond Tree Care stopped in while in my neighborhood and asked if I had any tree projects coming up, He and I walked my property and looked at the trees I thought were a problem, he agreed and asked me if I wanted a quote which he quickly turned around in less than 24 hour via a text, he also provide me with their liability and workman's comp. insurance documents without me having to ask - he answered a few questions I had and we scheduled the work without any payment up-front. He crew of (4) arrived on the day we agreed on with all their equipment and went to work - these guys are professional and very friendly and were respectful of my property. I had identified (5) very tall palm trees in some very tight areas and (1) oak tree I wanted to save but cleaned up and trimmed. These guys definitely worked as a team and made short work of the job and checked to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction as well as the clean up. I couldn't of been happier with the end results and the pricing. Fast forward a few days and they were back in my neighborhood doing some tree work for my neighbor - again another beautiful job. Well the guys were here today to hurricane trim my palms. Really disappointed !! Dannie's crew came HIGHLY recommended, so I got no other estimates. I showed them the safest way to bring in the equipment as not to run over my septic drain fields. Well, that fell on deaf ears ! Some palms had a hurricane cut, others were left with drooping fronds. When I mentioned it, that too fell on deaf ears ! At 75 years old, I am not going to stand out there and argue with the so-called professionals. For $1200.00 I expected a bit more. I had a huge palm tree behind my house much too close to my deck. Fearing that the tree would come down in a storm, I contacted several tree service companies to have it removed. Most didn't want the job as it was close to the high power lines. The access to the tree was across my septic tank they told me, which I did not like. The guys from Above and Beyond came over and discovered another route to the tree. In a few hours, the tree was sawed down in sections and the yard was cleaned up. Their fee was less than the other companies. The workmen were great and friendly. The company owner, Dannie came over and introduced himself and also friendly and concerned about his customers. I had a palm which got the lethal bronzing disease and had to be removed. The arborist advised me to get it removed as soon as soon as I could since there was another palm nearby so i read reviews of tree removal companies, ended up picking Above & Beyond in Edgewater. They came out that day and estimated and came the next day and removed the tree. They left everything neat and clean. I HIGHLY recommend them. Dannie is a great guy! I called Above & Beyond Tree Care to give me an estimate to trim a large Red Maple tree and a Hong Kong Orchid tree. Dannie looked at the two trees and told me that they did not need any work. I was surprised because I was told by another driveby tree service that the Red Maple was a liability and that I need work right away.
