Two large fallen trunks

John and his guys are a great team!! We had a large diseased tree in the back of the property that had two large branches already fall from the last two storms. The tree was taken down quickly and rather than haul the trucks away..they were used to create an awesome natural barrier for my property.. Great idea John!! Definitely recommend the All American Tree Specialist.

over grown and out of contro with a dangerous diseased tree

Volusia Bobcat & Tree Service

Volusia Bobcat & Tree Service

Services Provided: Tree Diagnosis (dying), tree removal…read more My wife and I only need two words to describe Volusia Bobcat & Tree Services: "THE BEST!" In today's world it is difficult and stressful to locate a skilled professional. We investigated 7 different tree service companies in our Ocala/The Villages area. There are over 25 companies cited. Some falsely listing licensed/insured. Volusia Bobcat & Tree Services was always at the top of our list. * The most KNOWLEDGEABLE (expert analysis/treatment: tree OK/sick/dying). * Fair PRICE: never the highest. Sometimes the lowest. (Willing to negotiate if client timing is flexible.) * PRO-PERSONNEL: provided an experienced 12-man crew with fully-stocked equipment. All working all the time: Sawing, piling, lifting, loading, sweeping, blowing. They reported on time with enough tools - trucks, saws, trailers, rakes etc.- to invade a small country. If we need tree-service again we would definitely give Volusia Bobcat & Tree Services a call and have already recommended them to our neighbors. Accomplished all that they said, expertly, and completely cleaned up the debris. Even the neighbors near us were impressed.

I hired this company to trim trees at two properties in mid-March. They were aware that I was out…read moreof state so they had no problem sending pictures before and after the job so I could see the scope of work completed. Mike and Jacob submitted the estimate listing all elements of this job, which included haul away of debris. This company gets the one star for the rapidness of response to provide the estimate and once terms agreed to, scheduled the job on their calendar; however, that's where the positive comments end. After I received the post-job photos, they were paid immediately and by that I mean within the hour. I did not want them to have to wait for their payment. A week and a half after the job, I received a phone call from a Code Enforcement officer advising me that a neighbor had witnessed this company during the actual job make multiple trips in a Bobcat with the tree debris in its bucket and dump it in a vacant lot next to my property. She waited almost two weeks to make a complaint, giving this company the benefit of the doubt that they might come back to haul this debris away. It was only after this almost two weeks of waiting that she finally reluctantly made the call to the Code Enforcement department to have this debris removed which was now dead and highly combustible. After I received an extremely upsetting call from the Code Enforcement officer (who was very kind and understood the situation), I immediately contacted Mike, the owner of Volusia Bobcat and Tree. Despite previously having a lengthy conversation with me regarding getting him paid and a technical issue with getting it done, as well as two other shorter conversations regarding the job itself prior to that, he acted like he didn't know who I was. It's pretty simple to recall a job that had just occurred a week and a half prior that involved two separate residences. I'm sure those don't happen with frequency. During the phone call with the Code Enforcement officer, he explained all the possible outcomes of this situation if this wasn't remedied, one of which involved getting the Sheriff's Department involved because this could be classified as a felony under certain code sections. When I explained how serious this was to Mike once he miraculously recalled who I was and that the officer advised this could end up being a felony, he accused me of lying about this. The Code Enforcement officer also advised him of this, but not surprisingly, there was no retraction by Mike of his false accusation that this was a fabrication by me. If a business owner cannot understand why someone who paid thousands of dollars to have a job completed in compliance with the agreed-upon terms only to find out that it wasn't via an early morning phone call by a Code Enforcement officer, that is an issue this business owner needs to do some self-reflection on. He could not grasp why I was upset. He couldn't understand what the problem was. He said that leaving the debris for later pickup was what they did for all their jobs, which was a lie. How do I know this? Because on the other property of mine where he also cut trees, he took the debris with him at the conclusion of the job. That's because there are neighbors all around that house and no vacant lots next door to dump the debris, allowing someone to charge a customer for dump fees but not dumping the debris. I'm sure dump fees in Florida are several hundred dollars. During this call, he was rude, condescending and dismissive. He then became threatening when I told him I was going to leave a negative review: "Don't slander my company or we will be back in touch." First, it's libel, not slander; regardless, it's only either of those when what's said or written is false. He knows every single thing written here is a fact, so I welcome his threatened legal action. Any attorney would laugh him out of his office if he sought to pursue any sort of claim. The only reason this debris was picked up is that he was threatened with the sorts of actions we're all familiar with that a city has no hesitation in taking against a contractor who does things like this. If that neighbor hadn't complained, I never would have known this happened and that I'd been taken advantage of financially. I can guarantee that the debris would continue to sit there until nature broke it down and turned it into mulch in 100 years. I feel taken advantage of in many ways here, but also betrayed because I put my trust in this company. They knew I was out of state and couldn't be there in person. They preyed upon this fact and exploited it. This is one of the main reasons the haul-away was not done since they believed no recourse would occur because I'd never know. In conclusion, hire this company at your peril. If you do hire them, stand there and watch them work until they drive away, making sure every leaf and twig and blade of grass is hauled away with them as they go.
