Ready Roof was the 4th and final estimate I needed. Of the previous 3, the 1st did not even set…read morefoot on the roof (salesman), and their estimate was so high, it was through the roof (no pun intended). The 2nd estimate was reasonable, but not as detailed, and the 3rd was also reasonable, but told me there was an area he could not get to with the soffits against my front cedar panels as he would risk damaging them. (I was getting an estimate for my roof (as well as for the company to build casing/housing unit around my rusty gas chimney), sky light, attic fan, siding, gutters/leaders, and soffits).
Once I contacted Ryan (8/2023), we tentatively set up a date for him to come for an estimate, giving me a heads up that him and his wife were expecting a baby any day. Any human being would understand that and agree. He followed up the next day, and we worked it out for him to squeeze me in. Ryan was on time, as per our agreement, polite, and got right to work. He pulled his ladder right off the truck, and made his way up to the roof. In the past (since moving here in 2015), I've been told I have a "few years" left on my roof, but knew since the house was built in 1988, and it is the original roof, that my time has come. Ryan took pictures, did all the measurements, and came down to show me, and discuss. In addition, we walked the perimeter of the house to get an idea of the remainder of the work I wanted done. During this time, with absolutely no pressure, sales pitch, and non-sense add-ons, he offered me many great ideas, as well as opinions, and spent more than enough time with me. He really gave me the comfort level of making an easy decision, and that was to use his company without even seeing the estimate.
A few days later, he sent me the estimate, as I had requested it to a specific email account (so it wouldn't go into spam). Very well put together, PDF format, with pictures of all the work that needed to be done: roof, casing/housing around the gas chimney, sky light, attic fan, siding, gutters/leaders, and soffits. It was one of the best estimates I have seen meticulously put together. Ryan had everything itemized, in case I did not want to move forward with the project in its entirety. I did, and thought the price was more than fair for the scope of the work, and lots less than the other 3 companies that were here prior.
With our first meeting going so well, and the presentation of the estimate, (price always helps as well, lol), I knew this was a reflection on the quality of work Ryan and his crew would carry out (of course, Ready Roof did NOT disappoint).
During the pre-construction phase, we kept in touch, with Ryan quickly answering my calls, texts, and emails, being very communicative. This was necessary, needing samples dropped off (so the wife can approve), paperwork that needed to be signed, or my annoying constant questions on caring for my house as if it was his own. Ryan reiterated to me about how he cares for clients houses as if it is his own, with tarps, and making sure there is no damage.
Ryan and his crew have the tools, machinery, and the finesse of true professionals. The roof was ripped and finished in a day, and the rest of the work took a few weeks. Many factors played a role (not Ryan's fault). I had my own personal issues with my dad in the hospital, continuous rainy weather, and me wanting to be home to see the work progress, not to mention I was getting premium siding (special order). During this whole time, Ryan was on the job, making sure I was satisfied, products delivered were of good quality and correct. Ryan did not hesitate with any questions I threw at him, and there were many each day. A true business man, making the customer happy.........EXTREMELY! He followed through after the project was done and sent me pictures from his drone of the before/after.
From start to finish, all the work completed was done correctly, professionally, with care for my home, and a success in making my wife and I happy (I/we can be a pain in the a**). I need to uphold a beautiful look of my house, since I am a corner property. I am getting tons of compliments on the work Ryan and his crew did, and all the time they put into it, was well worth it. I could not have asked for anything more, as far as anyone doing a better job. Ryan, and his company Ready Roof truly made my home look beautiful. They were READY to do a ROOF..... AND lots more.
