This is a great salon. Staff all have years of experience and really do great Nani's & pedi's. They are so accommodating! They will always try to fit you in when you call and if an appointment cancels, they're on the phone calling you back to let you know they can get you in. Highly recommend this shop! read more

I went in with my mom and daughter. The tech did a great job with my full gel set. She took great care to make sure all my nails were even, and added tips to the few that had broken the day before and were too short. Overall it was a lovely experience. Please note they only accept debit or cash. read more

About Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - North Vancouver, British Columbia

Kim was so wonderful in repairing my broken nail quickly and professionally. It was a pleasure to deal with her and I wholeheartedly recommend her. read more

Quiet and small. Good pedicure. Manicure was rushed and she filed my skin on two fingers!!! Too quick. Otherwise good

Owner is lovely, it's a relatively small salon but service is great. They tend to get busy as it's only 3 of them working. Lily and Kim are awesome. read more

Kim (owner) and Lily are exceptional. Have been getting my nails done by Lily for ages now and adore her. I have finally found someone who is both quick and very sweet. Tina W. read more

Wow, one of the best mani pedis I've ever had. Just visiting from the states and found this salon because it was near my hotel. I was in and out in exactly an hour with a full pedi and gel manicure. Thanks Lilly! read more

I have gone there for years and had great service every time and been very happy with their mani pedis. We are lucky to have them on the North Shore! read more

Technically good, but staff generally very dour. Salon is well-run by the owner Kim but customer relations very poor. When paying the bill one gets charged more than you bargained for - you book an acrylic fill but then get charged for a whole new set, which is fine if you were warned about it in advance. After being a long-term client, I have gradually lost my trust in them because I never know what I am going to be charged for. Also not enjoyable to be scolded when daring to ask for an explanation. Other good salons also have good technicians, this one seems to have become over-assured and arrogant. read more

The best nail spa in North Shore. Kim is amazing. she is fast, precise & super clean. She has been doing my nails for 10 years. Lili does the best pedi, she is very gentle & does the best freehand nail art. Lynn never done anything for me but she seems to be a busy bee too. love them all. great ladies & worth every penny. read more

About Nails - love my red nails. Thanks Kim. - Nail Salons Near Me - North Vancouver, British Columbia

This place is really good! I needed and emergency fill and was down in the lower Lonsdale area. I tried two other places in the neighbourhood but they were busy and couldn't take me for hours. About Nails was able to take me right away, Kim was my attendant - I think she is actually the owner of the salon. Very friendly and does a great job. Not pushy and had the job done quickly which I appreciate as I was panicking for leaving it to late before heading out for the evening. This is now my GO TO place for nails. Next time I'll have a pedi too. read more

I am so glad I discovered this place because it is a little hidden and does not stand out. It's pricier than others but the quality of work exceeds other salons in the area. Kim oversees the work of her staff and she is a perfectionist. I had a couple of acrylic plus gel sets done here and they were close to perfection, same with pedicures and colour. They keep to appointment times and you're never waiting. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for quality. read more

The team is very thorough and it is conveniently located near Lonsdale Quay. They made sure I left with everything perfect. I will be back!

Great service, and very friendly. This place took us even though they were about to close. They didn't rush through the manicure and did an amazing job with the shellac. My shellac has never lasted as long as from the manicure I got from About Nails. Great experience! read more

Kim was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say she is the best! I have tried many different nail salons and been disappointed. Kim and her company are friendly, clean and most of all do a fantastic job. Kim is very talented. read more

If you want to be treated as a valued guest with friendly and professional service- then make an appointment with Kim or one of her staff. Kim respects her guests' time and does not double book her appointments. This is quality over quantity customer service!! Kim's work is impeccable and she adheres to strict sanitation & disinfection practices. Her high level of training in the USA enables her to confidently & impeccably master the care of my long nails as well as natural length. No other nail salon in North Van could measure up...sadly, as one salon owner confessed "we don't do long nails in North Van. You have to go downtown". Well, I am staying on the shore and I am a client of Kim's for life! read more

Kim herself (the owner) is very quick & very good at what she does. The staff is very friendly & having the TV right above their nail stations is also great. I just wish they had a larger selection of nail polish colors and brands. read more

Just got my nails done with Kim at About Nails and the experience was awesome !!! Being that it was my first time there ,she made my experience very pleasurable , awesome customer service very warm and friendly !!! read more

I've been lucky to be a customer of About Nails for over three years. I moved 18 months ago to the Sunshine Coast and still continue to make the trip to North Vancouver to see Kim, Lynn and Lily. You've got to know that I think they're pretty special if I make them my #1 place for nail care as well as my waxing needs. What makes them the best salon: * Clean, clean, clean: I trust them to ensure that their equipment is properly sanitized. * Their selection of both shellac/gel and regular nail polish is amazing--they always keep adding the latest and greatest to their stock. * An inviting atmosphere--always a smile here. * Love those massage chairs for my pedicures together with a soothing cup of tea. * The least painful waxing I've ever experienced. (Yes, ladies, the things we do!) * Watching television and the street action out the clean, glass windows (did I say 'clean' again!) Kudos to the awesome work these ladies do. Always a pleasure to visit. read more

Great place to get your nails done. I love the ladies there. They are always so welcoming, always accommodate me even with very short notice and the prices are great. My gel nails are done within 45 minutes and the precision with which they are done is amazing. Love it!! Thanks Kim. Lien always does my pedicures and I get the best massage. She paints my nails beautifully and always gives me fun big toe designs. read more

It was okay, you can get a way better job for a bit cheaper. The shape of my nails was a bit off, they stuck straight up on my pinkies... weird angle read more

Kim the owner is amazing and very specific about her girls. I have been to most nail places in North Van and this is the only one that I have found is consistently perfect. I was on a search and didn't care about price I wanted quality. The best part is that they provide quality services and are the same or slightly cheaper then most nail places around. Totally pleased! read more

I'm 25 years old and I decided to get my nails done for the first time. I got a couple good reviews from girlfriends of mine to get them done at About Nails. I went and an hour and a half later and a fat tip I looked at my nails and couldn`t stop staring at my real nails that were still visible right under the tips. I asked her about it and she said it`s supposed to look like that. I didn`t question it anymore and showed them to my girlfriends the next day. They all told me to go back and complain. Every nail was visible under each tip except my left thumb. I went back and honestly told them I was not happy with the service so they ''TRIED'' to fix the problem. They actually made it MUCH worse. I should have taken a BEFORE pics as I only have the after pics. Take a look for youself. Not the right length, which you can tell from the back of the nails, glittered tips are all different sizes, left hand differs from right hand, and extremly MESSY. Thanks for ruining my first experience ABOUT NAILS. read more

Just had a gel nail/ manicure service for the first time at About Nails. I selected this salon based on the many positive Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed! Kim and her staff are wonderful. Excellent customer service, on time, very clean, and a beautiful job on my nails. The prices are very reasonable too which was a nice surprise. I can't wait to book my next appointment! read more

I love getting my occasional mani and pedis but with About Nails, I keep wanting to go back. And the reason why is because they do a really good job. I had my French manicured gel nails done twice there already and each time the experience is excellent and my nails look gorgeous. It also lasts a lot longer than when i get it done at other places too. Kim is the owner and nail extraordinaire, she's very attentive and knows how to handle different nail types so they last longer. I think I've found my go-to nail salon. Very happy with this find :) read more

Love About Nails. ALWAYS have a great experience . Kim does an amazing job with my French Gel. I've been going here every 3 weeks for years. I travel often and sometimes need to find somewhere else and am always disappointed and can't wait to get back to Km at About Nails. The hot towel at the end of my treatment is a special treat . You can also get pedicures and waxing here. The atmosphere is comfy and professional. read more

My regular salon could not fit me in for pedi with shellac. After reading all the positive reviews gave About Nails I gave them a call and they fit me in. Short notice but they did not rush me, the pedi was absolutely wonderful and it was a very service orientated salon. Two months later needed another pedi - called, made an appointment and again the same terrific service, pedi was done perfectly and the price is incredibly reasonable. They have now become my regular salon! Give them a try - you won't regret it! Honestly they do a better job then some of the high priced salons on the North Shore! read more

Impeccable shellac manicure, meticulously done by Lily. I don't remember the last time a nail tech took so much care. Salon was clean and they were able to take me within hours of calling. Will absolutely return! read more

The techs at About Nails do an awesome job. I have been very happy each time I have gone. It is clean and you can tell they really take pride in their work. I don't go to a specific tech because each one of them are good and they are quite busy so they fill up quick. The location is convenient, but it can be hard to find parking sometimes...that's just the way it is in Lower Lonsdale. Highly recommended! read more

Called that day and there was a cancellation so I was lucky enough to get an appointment. Super friendly and cheerful staff. They all take their time with each client and take cleanliness into important consideration. The owner gave me a pedicure and informed me she has owned the shop for 10 years and has employees that have been with her for 8. I am defiantly coming back here again with my friends. :) read more

My daughter and I have been going to About Nails, for gel nails, for a couple months now and absolutely love it. The service is fantastic, the prices great and they do an amazing job. Far better then any other nail salon I have been too. Keep up the good work and we'll see you in a couple weeks. read more

Kim, the owner made a pedicure appointment for me - when I went to confirm and request for it to be changed if possible, one of the technicians said there wasn't any appointment in my name for that day and time to my great disappointment as it was supposed to be on my day off, Wednesday, which was important. Wednesdays are Kim's day off (in just recent months she decided to take this day off) so no solution could be made, as the person who was to do my toes was booked up all that day. Kim is usually booked up on Saturdays so it's virtually impossible to make an appointment with her to do my hand nails as well. I left a message saying I was upset by not being able to get my toes done on that Wednesday. Kim called me on Thursday to apologize and said she was busy and forgot to put me in for that Wednesday but the apology didn't seem that sincere. This place is obviously too busy to accommodate loyal customers such as myself, and as a result I am looking for much better service from another nail salon. read more

great salon, Kim the owner knows her stuff and trains her staff VERY well. she's all about that customer service and returning clients. prices are on point with the area, call ahead to make an appt because they fill up quick! read more
