I asked my primary that I wanted a second opinion, she sent me to Dr Merliss. I was hesitant about how far was and skeptical about the building, but knew she sent me there for a reason. He listened to everything I had to say, even told me to slow down and take my time with my story. After a few tests and him reviewing my story, he informed me that what I had was a far less condition than what I had been diagnosed with. I am being taken off the medication that I didn't need, and getting my license and life back. I can't express how happy I am to have been referred to him. They were mad at me when I called them to tell them that they sent in the incorrect amount of medication to pharmacy. I'd look elsewhere.

The office staff directed me to send my husband down to the office to sign a release of information form so he could send his records to his new doctor, and when my husband arrived, the office staff claimed they had no idea what my husband was talking about. They had no idea what a Release Of Information (ROI) form was, and refused to allow my husband to sign the form. The staff had just told me about this form on the phone less than an hour before. The office staff and doctors lie, they are unprofessional, they are in violation. They cannot refuse to allow a patient to have their records sent to another provider. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) that my husband was seeing was named Ivan Gossage, NP. What kind of a licensed health care professional does intentional harm to a mental health patient by directing his staff to lie to a patient and refuse to provide the patient with the opportunity to send their records to another provider?! I arrived when I was told to. Filled out my paperwork and was called back to the room like in less than 10 minutes. The nurse who did the intake was warm and professional... cute too.
