We had recently purchased a home that had a gas fireplace and had them out to inspect if it was safe to use. They provided us with a full inspection inside and out and took tons of photos. Once complete, they throughly described to us the state of our chimney and the recommendations they had to address the issues. They were patient with us as we asked questions and ensured we understood every detail. Due to a large crack going down the exterior of our chimney where water was entering, they advised a rebuild. They found us different types of bricks that were as close as possible to our existing and let us choose the one we liked the most. They came, setup their scaffolding while taking precautions for our surrounding AC units and landscaping and got to work. It took 3 days and each day Jorge would meet me once they were finished for the day and detail to me the work they completed and what was to follow the next day. I'm very disappointed with my experience with this company. The price they quoted me was around $3,000, and I've included some pictures below. What concerns me most is the lack of trust I now have in their recommendations. I previously hired this company to do tuckpointing work for me. About three years later, I contacted them about touching up a few areas, and I was told the work was already in bad shape. When I reminded them that they were the ones who had performed the original work, the response was essentially, "Oh, we can just repair these couple of bricks. It's not a big deal." After that experience, and now being presented with what I believe is an unnecessarily expensive repair, I simply don't feel comfortable doing business with this company anymore. When you hire a company and spend good money on their work, you expect fair pricing, honest recommendations, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, that's not the experience I had.
