I am very big on customer service. I can forgive many things, but poor customer service is willful, not an "accident" or "beyond our control". The employees at Ables have always been polite, courteous, and professional. I have been to Able's many times and only had one problem. Its is sad, but it is rare for a company to make something right when they know they are at fault. But Able's took care of it immediately. Some say that they are way to expensive. Which is true for some firearms, but as with all things, we have to shop around. I have found that once you add the price from somewhere else with the FFL transfer fee and shipping, Ables is not that much more expensive, or even a few dollars less. But I guess it depends on the firearms you are interested in. read more

With a company this size you would think that they would be able to keep track of what is in stock for their on-line customers but that is not the case. I think they show most things in stock so customers will place orders like a hand gun and then order some of their overpriced ammo with the ammo being available but not the gun. We had a great day shooting at Able"s today. My dad and I had been waiting for this for quite a while. We booked our instructor through the office and had a fantastic time. We shot with Zachary Klienbaum and he was awesome. His approach is positive and he is an overall great guy to shoot with. My shooting skills are enhanced because of his positive approach to instruction and coaching. My dad had a great time and has the same positive comments. The facility was spacious, not crowded, and the store had everything that anyone might need for shooting plus endless amounts of new guns for purchase. Ammo was the least I've ever paid. Needed some of the stuff I was ordering the next Friday, but unless I called them back and paid for faster shipping I imagine that won't be happening. I attempted to return a defective Pro-Mag rifle magazine I purchased form Able`s ammo . The magazine jammed on the first shot. It came with a LIFETIME warranty. Since I had heard some bad reviews concerning the ProMag magazine , I just wanted to exchange it and pay $22.00 more for a factory magazine. They even told me I could return it if it didn`t work, Since I did not have the receipt they told me there was nothing they could do except for me to send it to the factory and pay all shipping costs. I went home and looked thru my receipts and noticed that the only receipts with individual items listed were with gun purchases. All the other receipts from Abel`s had no individual items on them so a receipt would have done me no good. I was trying to spend money with them but I guess customer service and common sense is a thing of the past. read more

Ammo selection is great and prices are competitive in my opinion. They have a petty good selection of firearms to, a little of everything from traditional to tactical to competition to collectors. I purchased around $1500 worth of ammunition online from Able's. I recieved an email requesting I call to verify my information (understandable for this large of an order). After calling, I recieved an email stating that the information was verified, this is where things started going wrong. I waited a week for my ammo, but still no shipping confirmation, so I called. Mind you, my credit card had been charged the full ammount even though no product was shipped. I was assured that the items were about to ship out. I waited 10 more days before calling again and got the same answer, so I requested to cancel my order. The employee argued some, but then agreed to cancel the order and even sent an email confirming the cancellation. A week later the credit card was not credited, so I called. The employee seemed very confused and stated that she remembers having issued the credit, then corrected that she had just done it yesterday (well after the cancelation). I checked the card two days after that conversationa nd still no credit! Beware of this company! When I went to write reviews about this experience I saw all of the negative ones that other people had written. I should have done that internet search first! read more
