Unfortunately, the key hole was broken out because I though I could open it so I hit it with a pick axe. Nope, not a 20lb steel safe! So. I took it to Anchor, and they were able to open it within 30 minutes, trying a variety of different methods - including trying to release a broken lock using a magnifying glass and other tools. Finally, by only drilling a small hole into the safe, they were able to compromise the locking mechanism and the door swung open. Good job.

Three local Houston safe companies were unable to help and the parts were long unavailable. I searched hundreds of safe companies from Ca to NY. Then I found Orest at Anchor in Michigan. He knew exactly what I needed and even sent the 65 year old NEW parts for my preview. I was concerned as I specified a 3" dial diameter and Orest sent a 2 7/8" part. Guess what? My problem stemmed from wrong parts that were on my safe. The door has a dial recess designed for the 2 7/8" diameter dial. My 3" dial sat outside the recess and rubbed and stressed the wheel post to the point it broke. Thanks to Anchor my safe is as good as new. They performed when no one else in America could. I loved the look but not the price. I was driving by and found this shop. I went inside and met Brandon he showed me their granite selection, they had fewer choices but they had a sample that looked almost identical to the one we wanted. Brandon said I would be happily surprised by their quote. I sent them our dimensions and boy was he right. They offered a much more affordable price. Needless to say we placed our order, the gentleman came out and measured the space. Within days they were giving us an installation date. Ryan and Austin called and were here within half an hour. They brought in the granite, drilled a couple holes for faucet and garbage disposal button and installed each countertop. We needed a couple pieces throughout our kitchen, they did a great job making sure the process went smoothly and without making a mess. They made everything was cleaned and installed properly. We are thrilled and will highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tile, granite or other stone work.

Called and was told that I can bring the rugs to the store in Oak Park or the truck will come to my home and pick them up. I opted for the truck coming to my house to get them all. If you drop them off at the store they gave a discount. Be prepared to wait though! Lots of waiting for a phone call for them to update you on the progress of your rugs. I think overall from my first phone call to the rugs being re-delivered took over a month. Their communication was pretty good - they called to let know the status of my rugs and if I wanted certain extras like a stain resistant coat. The guys who came to get our rugs were professional and quick. They took 4 big area rugs and a hall runner. They never told you a price until the guys put all of your rugs back where they go in your home. So I wish they were more upfront about the price. The price was worth it based on how clean my rugs looked - they all looked new. All the stains and marks were gone! The guys who came to put the rugs back were patient with me trying to remember how the rugs were laid. Pro tip to take pictures of how your rugs were laid before they take them. They also would move my furniture so my husband and I could shuffle the rugs back in place.

My contractor specified that we wanted "premium" boards - but the sales guy at John's told him that "premium" was just a marketing gimmick. When I called he gave me the same excuse. When I asked about the #2 & #1 stamps on the boards - he just reiterated his stance. I then called Fingerle Lumber and asked about pressure treated premium boards - they gave me the real scoop and I ordered new boards from Fingerle. They are beautiful, and almost knot free. They are also stamped "premium". We returned the sad boards to John's. Why 2 stars? Maybe the sales guy was just uneducated or new- benefit of the doubt.
