I had new windows put in , the crew worked very hard and were very kind. The office people are not customer friendly . They come across rude . I asked the installers the amount I owed as it could change from my estimate. They said they don't take money , I need to wait for a invoice to come I the mail . Today I wake up to a email saying I'm late . I just got the invoice and planned on sending out the money today , I was going to have a roof redone but I am so unhappy with the office people I think I will go somewhere else read more

Roof was replaced. Customer service was great up until they had my money. With gutter guards in place, they removed them to put roof on and filled my gutters with plastic from shingles bag and tar paper that blocked my downspouts. When called Adam the project manager he gave me a bad attitude, said he'd get to it in a week or 2. Blamed everyone else. My gutters were clear before my new roof was installed. Poor service filling my gutters with roofing materials and not removing your debris prior to putting guards back on! Terrible service!!!! read more

My experience with Able was mixed. I contacted them as my current kitchen remodel contractor suggested I should. Got in touch with their commercial division who referred me over to their residential division. We had a leak coming into our master bedroom via a window seem and since Able tackles roofing, windows, and siding they seemed to be a perfect fit. First technician came out and just was not sure what was going on so he said he would setup an appointment with a gentleman who was more of a window specialist. Later that week we had a gentleman come out who said we needed to have those windows replaced to fix the leak. No issue there as our house is older and still has original windows. We went ahead and put 50% down and they scheduled someone to come out today to take final measurements. With measurements done we were told it would take a month before we would see our windows being replaced. This was not acceptable with a current leak and rain predicted coming up. The gentleman out to measure was kind enough to give the window one last look to see if anything could be done to temporarily fix the issue while we waited for windows to arrive. Well, come to find out the windows weren't even the issue. We had leaks in our gutters which were causing water to get in and all our windows needed were two small holes caulked and center board replaced. First technician said a window person would come out, but it turns out Able decided to just send a salesman instead who didn't even bother to check the outside of the house or see where water was coming from. Spoke to that salesman again today who still insisted we needed the windows replaced even though the gentleman out today said it was just optional for now. So now we had to replace windows, gutter, and add a new downspout according to the salesman. Upset with the situation I called their office. Their sales manager was kind enough to call me back same day. Would have expected a simple apology for not figuring out the root cause of the issue, but instead he insisted everything done was correct. He didn't seem to understand that I was frustrated that had the windows just been replaced the root cause would not have even been addressed and the issue would have just come back (either on the new windows or others that are underneath the same gutter). Give them two stars as a few people were amazing. The final tech that came out diagnosed the issue correctly and provided me with correct details. The contact given to me in their commercial division was also super nice! Finally the secretary who took my final call about how I was upset was very quick to apologize and understand... even though the manager was only quick to defend and only half-apologize for the misunderstanding. I now still have a leaking window after 10 days of dealing with Able and need to start over from scratch. Luckily I will be getting back all of my deposit and did not have to pay any kind of fees. If someone out there decides to use them, just be careful you're dealing with someone that knows the issues and how to fix them and not just a salesman! Several years ago, we had 3 roofing companies take a look at our roof. 2 said we needed to replace immediately and if we didn't the results would be catastrophic. Able told us that our roof had a few more years left in it. This year, it was time to replace the roof. Able got the entire job done in a day, and it looks great. The crew did an amazing job and cleaned up everything afterwards. After some confusion with our satellite company about an old satellite dish, Kellen made sure it was removed was properly disposed of and made sure new shingles were put in it's place. We had 4 companies give us bids on our large (84 Square) and steep roof along with gutter replacement. I granted the bid to Able because I had had two of my co-workers have their roofs done by Able and they were very positive in their experience. The work was completed on April 16, 2021 by 6 hardworking men. I did have trouble communicating with them since only one of them spoke some broken English. I was told that our three skylights would need to be replaced with the new roof because they were 21 years old and they didn't want to take a chance of them leaking. When they were removed, however, I was told that they were in great shape. The old ones were Pella brand. After the job was completed, I walked our yard and driveway. I had a long magnet on a metal arm and gathered over half a coffee can full of staples and nails. Most of these were on the driveway where we could easily have put a nail through a tire. Wrappers from the shingles were blown into our woods and I am still finding trash from their work. An oil stain was left on our front walk where they put their air compressor. They could have easily sat it on a piece of cardboard or something to protect our walk. Some of the landscaping was smashed as they walked all over it and threw shingles from the roof down to the ground on their tarps. The new skylights were not as deep as the original so they had to send a subcontractor down to place trim boards inside the house so you didn't see the unfinished edge of drywall. While he was here, he said that all he did full-time was go around fixing their mistakes. We never had a leak before for 21 years but a couple weeks after the new roof was installed we saw a brown spot show up in our breakfast nook! I called our project manager, Robert Brungard, on Friday and he returned my call on Monday. He came and looked at the leak and sent one of the guys, who didn't speak English, to fix it. The worker brought a large tube of caulk and used it all and said it was fixed. Some broken shingles were noticed at that time and he said he didn't have any shingles with him and he would come back on Saturday. Needless to say, he never showed up on Saturday. I called Robert and told him that the money I spent on this roof for a 35 year shingle and he fixes the problem with perhaps a 10 year tube of caulk was unacceptable. He later sent another guy down who tore off the shingles in that area and installed new flashing and shingles. He said he would send someone down to paint our kitchen ceiling but it is August 31st and we have not seen or heard from anyone. This company promises customer service but falls way short on their delivery. I can only imagine that I will not hear from them again because they got their money and have forgotten their promise to take care of the brown spot on our breakfast nook. I would not recommend them. The other roofing companies may have been my best choice. read more

I had a sales rep from able come out to look at a couple loose shingles on my home. They told me I needed a new roof although the roof is only 5 yrs old. What I could see from the ground there were only a couple shingles that looked loose. Rep insisted the problem is all over the roof and even if they were repaired it would just end up happening again later. Wind damage and faulty install was the sales reps explanation. My insurance adjuster immediately was skeptical of the cause of the damage, right angle cuts to shingles, tears and only within arms length and a pattern was followed. Insurance company hired a couple engineers to investigate and the report clearly states this was damage caused by someone intentionally. I was encouraged to make a police report although the chances of anything happening was slim. Without proof or photos before and after you will never have a case. Bottom line is that the only company I let on my roof was Able and they insisted I needed a new roof. Engineers said it was purposely done and that repairing will fix the problem and the rest of the roof is in great shape and the install was done very well. DO NOT USE ABLE, even though they insist on "special" fasteners... Do yourself a favor and before having any of these companies come out take photos before they get there and after they leave. This will help later down the road when you press charges. The company I had come out to fix the roof said that they deal with this all of the time and the majority of repairs they do are because of large companies trying to get more business. I needed a roofer on short notice because I sold my house and a home inspector listed a few things that needed fixed on the roof. I called Able, who had a MikeScott, licensed roofer, out in just a few days. After his inspection, he concluded that the hundreds of dollars worth of repairs deemed necessary by a home inspector were completely unnecessary. He could have easily done the "repairs" and left me with a huge bill, but his honesty saved me hundreds of dollars. All we needed was a statement saying the roof was not in need of any repairs, which he happily provided. For good measure, he also applied a little caulking to the area in question at not charge. I was so surprised by his honesty that I couldn't let it go unnoticed. I highly recommend Mike Scott at Able Roofing for all roofing issues. read more

I received a estimate from a salesman Rich Smith, it was a estimate only because i was shopping around. He offered to see what I would be approved for since I would be financing. He stated the amount I was approved for and said IF i went with them the interest would be 3-5%. He tried to get me into a contract which I declined due to getting other quotes from other companies. He enrolled me into a credit card after our meeting without my consent or knowledge. I found out by receiving it in the mail and now he will not return my phone calls. I called the company this morning and have yet to hear back from them either. THIS IS FRAUD! This is now on my credit report and I WILL NOT EVER use Able Roofing. Most shady company and employee I've ever worked with. read more

Able put a roof on my sister's house she's had them out several times due to leaks in her kitchen ceiling which is now ruined. She had just had her ceiling all redone. She calls me to see if I could take a look at it. I'm no expert only roofed one roof in my life but this job looks terrible. Looks like they pieced the roof in by cutting small pieces and laying them in the seams. The upper roof is all wavy because sheeting was not installed. Which if you're going to do a roof correctly this should have been part of the job. I was not involved in the roof but after looking at it I would never have Able do a roof for me. read more

In late April 2015 I entered into contract to have Able roofing replace the siding on my home. I signed the contract and paid 50% of the cost up front. A few days went by and no one had contacted me to schedule the job, so I called the sales person and left them a message. When the sales person finally got back to me five business days later they promised that they would have someone from the office contact me that same day to schedule the job. After no one contacted me for three business days, I called the office and spoke to the service department to see what was going on with my file.They said that they would need to have a project manager come out to the property and measure before they could order the siding and schedule the project, however they could not schedule the project manager to come out to measure so they took my number and said they would need to call me back. I am completely frustrated and unsatisfied with the service and follow up of this company. They will promptly cash your check but have no incentive to make sure that they get your job scheduled so you have piece of mind to know when it will be complete. Update as of June 2015....... I have since changed my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star after my concerns were finally heard and I was able to get my job scheduled and completed. The workers took about 5 full days to complete the job which seems a bit long but they took their time and did an excellent job. I would have given a 4 star rating if it was not for the poor customer service I received when trying to come up with a rational solution regarding the treatment of my Insurance check which was in excess of the balance due on the job and had Able Roof as a co-signee. The billing department, which I found to be very non-helpful and unresponsive, basically said it was their policy to not sign over insurance checks to customers regardless of the circumstance (even in my case where I had paid for 50% of the job up front and the insurance check represented a little over 80% of the job, essentially wanting me to over pay them by 30%). Ultimately someone from customer service (NOT BILLING) agreed to a more acceptable arrangement and I only ended up paying the agreed contract price. read more
