He was careful to clean up the area afterward and was friendly the whole time, although I pestered him with questions. Thanks Jason and Rick.

As a Property Manager and Facilities Manager, I have used Wilcox Electric multiple times over the…read moreyears for the commercial and residential properties that I represent. I have always been very happy with the quality of their work. If you are a Property or Facilities Manager, Wilcox is an excellent partner that will leave you looking good! My experience is that they do high quality work, offer appropriate pricing, easy scheduling and are staffed by professionals in both the field and in the office. This review is because I recently had them do work at my own home and I am beyond happy. I've used them for small personal projects in the past but this time I brought them in to do larger work including a 200 amp heavy up and adding a dedicated circuit for a new stove. They knocked it out of the park! When our home was inspected for purchase 12 years ago, the inspector mentioned that our panel could be a concern. It took me this long to address it. A few months ago Dale performed panel maintenance and helped me understand so much about the power in my home that I decided to have Wilcox come back to do a 200 amp heavy up. Jermaine and Daniel did that work and did a fantastic job. I am so happy with the outcome. Lastly, Nick W came out and installed a dedicated circuit to install a new stove and did a wonderful job. Since I'm a curious customer who asks a lot of questions, he showed me all the components inside the panel and explained what they did. Now, for the first time since we bought the place, I feel absolutely confident in the safety of the power in my home. Based on my recent experiences, I'm planning to have them come back later this year to add some outlets to the exterior of the home and also run power out to my shed. Everyone I have dealt with from scheduling with the office to communicating about estimates and the onsite visits have been top notch. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable and have helped me understand the process at every step. You can rest easy if you choose Wilcox Electric for your project. They're great!

The complex project was accomplished successfully, on the other hand. More recently, I called them up about troubleshooting a couple flaky GFCI breakers. The owner came out immediately (an hour later!) and I learned a lot from him about breakers. On the other hand, he came out without any spare breakers and had to make a run to Home Depot, so I ended up being charged 1.5 hours at $237 an hour (usually time past the first hour is something like $70 extra), so much more expensive than alternatives. So a solid outfit, but not my first choice.

We wanted a slew of indoor and outdoor lights replaced and some new installs, along with three ceiling fan replacements. Took them two days, slightly faster than Geo's estimate of 2+ days. We got 1-2 other proposals and Geo's was not only by far the least expensive, the value was top notch as well. Cheapest is not always best; nor is the most expensive. I am happy to say that I've now got a go-to electrician forever. Highly recommend CGS for big jobs and small.

Ray and his assistant Kyle arrived ahead of schedule. I received calls from both the office and Ray relating to me that they were on their way and should arrive in 20 minutes. We have recently built a screened in porch on the back of our house and we needed wiring for outlets, a fan and a tv. We also needed spotlights put up on our house. Ray was quick to give us a firm cost on the job that was reasonable given the extensive work that needed to be done. After my acceptance, they quickly got to work. They were fastidious in their work and even threw out the empty tv box and fan box for us. Both Ray and Kyle were concerned that I was happy with the end product. We discussed the positioning of all the outlets and receptacles to make sure that they all were functional for what I needed and what I had envisioned. This necessitated several calls to my girlfriend to confirm what she wanted. Ray was very patient while I made the calls. When they left there was no trace they had been there other than the completed electrical work. They both were professional, efficient and friendly throughout the time they spent at our house. If you have any electrical needs, look no further. I highly recommend Haas and Sons. You won't be disappointed!

Joe must be one of the last "good guys" because if there's a better electrician I haven't found one…read morein the 20 years that I've owned a home. Everyone know the story. You call 5 electricians, you get 5 voice mail boxes, you leave messages, you never hear back. Or you finally hear back from one and they act like they're doing you a favor by responding to you. They won't be available to come to your home for days, there are tons of fees, and you have to promise your next born child if they fix the issue. It must be nice to have a job where you have so much demand that don't return customer calls, you pick and choose your jobs, and treat customers like dirt! Here's how it went with Joe, the owner of The Electricians. It was winter and about 45 degrees. Our furnace stopped working. I called Joe around 5pm and he answered on the second ring. I told him about the problem. While on the phone he had me walk down to the furnace and he literally walked me through troubleshooting steps to see if it was a minor issue that he could help me fix over the phone. When we couldn't fix it he asked me if we would be okay overnight and he could come to our house the next morning. He said that he could come over immediately but it would cost extra and he'd rather not charge me extra if we were okay. I told him with blankets and the heat already captured in the home we would be fine until the next morning. In that explanation alone there are 3 ways that Joe proactively saved us money and didn't look for ways to gouge us. The next morning, Joe arrived at the time he committed to...he was actually early and waiting outside so he would be on time and ready to start. Joe was VERY personable. Just a really nice guy. He went to the basement, looked at the furnace, and determined the issue pretty quickly...a part went bad in the furnace. He started making calls to get a new part but had no luck because it was an older part. Once again, he thought about the customer. He gave me the make, model, year, and serial number of the part. He told me to do a Google search and to check on eBay for the part. In the meantime, he was going to check his sources. He left and didn't charge me anything. He said he would charge me when he came back to repair the furnace. I started looking for the part online and found it. I called him and he told me that the part was a really good price and to go ahead and order it. Again, he didn't find the part on his own and then mark it up and charge me for parts. He told me that when the part came in the call him and he would stop by and install it. The part took a few days to ship(luckily the weather warmed up). When I got it I called Joe and he came the next day right on time. Joe took the part from me, went in the basement, installed it in about 30-45min, tested everything, and it was all working. He charged me $50 to install it and $70 for his time over the two visits. When I made the first call I thought I would be paying $300, $400, $500 for the visit, the part, and the repair. Since then, I've had AC problems. Twice Joe came to our house, looked things over, fixed a few issues, and charged me a VERY reasonable price. BTW, Joe is also a really nice guy. He's fun to talk to and has a fantastic attitude. I don't like having HVAC issues but now I don't dread having to call an electrician. I can't stress enough how fantastic of a job Joe does. He's honest, he's fair, he answers the phone and responds to texts, he's on time, and he's an all around nice guy. If I could give him 6 stars I would. I highly recommend Joe if you have an HVAC problem!!
