I found Harris Electrical, saw they were a local DC company with great reviews, and decided to reach out. I texted the numbers listed and learned they're brothers, Mike and Max Harris, carrying on the business their dad started. I texted them at 6 a.m. and got an immediate response. They asked for pictures of the breaker and the issue, diagnosed it quickly, and offered same-day service. Communication was incredibly easy and clear, all by text. Max arrived right on time, identified the short, and fixed it efficiently. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and honestly just great to work with. I can't speak more highly of them. This is exactly the kind of trustworthy local business you want in DC. Highly recommend Harris Electrical.

I highly recommend Call Pro Power and will use them again in the future!

Nate is a wonderful person as well, going above and beyond when he witnessed a package being stolen from my house and a peeping Tom on another occasion. Nate has also been incredibly gracious when dealing with a difficult general contractor while I was going through health issues. I will be using Nate for all my future electrical needs. Lawrence quickly identified the problem: the home was drawing too much power on a single circuit, and we needed to install three dedicated 20-amp circuits--one for each bedroom--to safely handle the high temperatures and increased electrical demand. His pricing was also incredibly reasonable, especially considering the amount of work required in an older row home. I couldn't be happier with the outcome or his professionalism. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, reliable electrician.

Raj is extremely responsive and will usually get back to you the same day. He's often able to get the work done within a week or two if you are in a rush. In my main home, Raj completed my Kitchen and front bathroom remodel. There was a hiccup when we opened a wall and found the vents flowing through but we found a solution that only tacked on I think $800. But, things like this happen when you start to tear a house apart without the blueprint. When we sold eventually sold our home, he was able to also do a lot of small jobs to get our house on the market. In my condo in Laurel, Raj's team was able to replace the bathroom faucet. He also replaced the broken patio door. I won't disagree with the previous review regarding the level of work. There were times where you could clearly see flaws or poor workmanship. However, once the work is completed and you alert Raj, he will send someone to complete the work to your liking. He really does try to work with you. His prices are beyond reasonable. If you want the work permitted, he will do it, it will just cost slightly more. Hope this review was helpful. Feel free to ask me a question. I would love to help him grow his business. He has definitely helped me a lot!

He showed up on time, examined the window with me and laid out a plan for the repair. After working on it for a bit he brought me back down for an update: there was a lot more water damage than we expected. We made a new plan to replace more of the frame. There were a couple more surprises that kept expanding the job (more rotten wood, an old rats nest in the wall above the removed window, brick damage caused by the rotten beam bowing and not supporting the bricks above the window properly). The job ended up being a lot bigger and more expensive than expected (2.5 day job rather than 0.5 day; billing is by the hour and very straightforward), but I couldn't be happier with the work and the process. Rather than a quick patch job I ended up with a solid, long-term fix. Here are a few more reflections on working with Mike: -Great communication. Mike gave me frequent updates, walking me through what he found and what the options were. -I never felt like I was being upsold. Mike was very collaborative and empathetic when showing me problems and discussing solutions. -Mike's knowledge and skillset goes deep. If this had been a simple window sealant job with a frame board replacement I'm sure he (and probably lots of other handymen) would handle it great. But as we peeled back the onion and found more complexity it became clear how well he understands houses and how to make them work the way they're supposed to. Mike and Renaissance will definitely be my go-to for future handyman / painting / renovations needs. Thank you Mike!
