Within minutes he was able to diagnose the problem, He told me he would look up the cost of the part and get back to me. It wasn't 2 hours later he texted me a price. It was during this time that I realized that it was still under warranty and while on the phone with LG, was texting with Leo to ask questions. I was able to get him set up to be able to order the part from LG for free under our warranty. It took a couple days, but he stayed in contact with me and after a few days of waiting, informed that the part had arrived. We scheduled a time for him to install and he came this morning to do the job. He was quick and efficient and it was about 35 mins and the job was complete. The dishwasher sounds like it did before and we can't be happier with the job. He charged us for his time only, just as we discussed. I hope I don't have to call him again for something else broken, but if I do, won't hesitate. Also, I plan to also share his info with anyone I know who needs an appliance fixed. He showed up when he said he would and found the issue (blown heat fuse) in 15 minutes, done. But it could have happed again if the exhaust hose was getting clogged and moisture had hardened some of it. So I ran to Home depot topurchase a new hose. Done. He also looked at our oven which occassionally up turning it on smells a bit of gas. He recommended we look at the igniter and possibly the jets. But said due to the age, it wouldn't cost much more to replace it.

It was a pleasure to deal with Ty, the Pay Less repair guy, when he came to fix our dishwasher that…read morehad slowly started to act up like a spoiled primadonna having a post-prime meltdown on opening night. The repair became more involved than initially thought, requiring separate trips to retrieve a pump, and later a water valve, yet Ty never lost his cheery demeanor. Instead, he calmly explained what was happening, showed us what was wrong, and took off to get the parts we needed. I had been on the fence about repairing a dishwasher of indeterminate age (since it was here when we moved in four years ago), but Ty reassured us that Bosch made quality appliances, and noted that it was hard-wired into the electric supply, so it's not like I could just pick up a new one and plug it in without involving an electrician. Plus, someone else remarked that there was no sense in throwing away something that could be fixed. Ty was thorough. The repairs required pulling the unit out of its under-counter spot, disassembling the front of it, then laying it on its side to access the components. After if was put back together with the new parts, Ty stuck around to test it thoroughly and make sure that we'd get a few more years of reliable service. The work is backed by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor, so that's also encouraging. I'd certainly call them again, though I hope I don't have to!
