The company was called out to replace a hot water heater in our church. They did go purchase the…read morenew heater and took out the old one, but could not finish the installation due to an electrical problem, which was not their fault, but we felt $1000 for installation is a bit excessive. They disagreed. The individual I talked to said they would come out and finish the job (plug it in) when the electrical was fixed. I told her that was highly unlikely, we would take care of it ourselves and would be using someone else in the future. She said "Fine" and hung up. Such a disappointment. They did some work in my house 2 or 3 years ago and we were quite pleased. They were very cost conscious back then. So sorry their policy has changed.

He got all 3 projects taken care of in one trip and done RIGHT! We will definitely use them for any future projects!

However, they weren't able to unclog the sink after an hour of effort and recommended I tear out the wall and start replacing pipes. I called the other McCalister plumbers out of West T and they were able to unclog it within 15 minutes. I don't know enough about plumbing to know what should be "hard" or not, but I was surprised they couldn't fix it and even more surprised after the other company fixed it so quickly.

The technician had the part already in his hand, and it is a plug and play part, which may at most cost $5. This is horrible business practice, and I will no longer be doing business with Plumbing Heating Paramedics. This company promotes pulling a fast one on their customers, as Wayne the tech mentioned to me he knows the part is very inexpensive, yet still chooses to work for this company, and then was attempting to force his religeon on me by saying I would be finding Jesus some day. A technician came out and inspected it. He said he needed to turn water off to the whole house but probably would run into a problem with the shut off valve, and recommended that be replaced also. The total bill was going to be almost $1000. I wanted to think about it so paid him $85 for a service call and told him I would get back to him in a few days. In the meantime I spoke with a friend who has some plumbing knowledge and he told me how to make the repair. I didn't need to shut off the water at all. It cost me less than $6 and took about 5 minutes. I definitely feel I this technician was trying to swindle me. I called the owner and asked to speak with him to give him a chance to rectify the situation, but after leaving a message because he wasn't available never got a return call. I would avoid these people because now I sincerely questioned their honesty and/or competency.
