Amazing food and even better service. If you are feeling lonely, then you haven't yet walked into this restaurant. If you are having any doubts in the world, then you haven't yet eaten their food.

Delicious birria pupusas and chicken flautas. Nice and spacious restaurant. Lively music and fast service. There is also a large free parking lot out front which is really convenient given the location. Special thank you to Angelica our server!

Went to Minneapolis for a weekend trip and this was my favorite restaurant we went to! Everything we ordered was not only so delicious and flavorful, but also affordably priced. Our server was super sweet too- they don't sell Diet Coke, but she gave me her own can for free! They deserve way more patronage; I definitely hope to be back one day to try more of the menu. We ordered the following items: - Loroco Papusa (4.8/5) - Combinación Guanaca (4.8/5) - Birrica Papusa (4.3/5)

Abi's is a cute Salvadoran spot tucked away in Uptown Minneapolis. I wasn't sure I was in the right spot when I got out of my Lyft, but as soon as I turned the corner, I easily spotted the entrance and was greeted by Abi's bright interior and friendly staff. I ordered the chicken flautas and a glass of jamaica and my friend opted for a pair of pupusas. My flautas were perfectly crispy and the chicken tender and flavorful. The toppings paired nicely and the salsa added a nice amount of spice. The jamaica was so refreshing, and my friend loved the pupusas. The service was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a very good experience.

Don't walk, run to this place!! This was my first time here and I am honestly shocked that I haven't heard about them sooner. After a long day of shopping, my girlfriend and I felt a burning sensation for pupusas and did a quick search on Yelp and after reading the reviews and looking at their menu, we chose Abi's. We had two servers, Marina and Victoria who worked hand in hand to provide a true hospitable flow of service to our table. They were prompt and even gave us an update on the status of our order(even though it was served quickly). I ordered chillaqules, pupusas and my gf got the quesabirria. All of which were evidently prepared fresh to order. I have had a myriad of pupusas from all around the metro, and with the highest confidence, I can say the ones I got here, were unmatched. It was packed with flavor, and I loved the red spicy salsa, coupled with the curtido(cabbage and picked veggie slaw). The chillaqules were scrumptious and the eggs that came with paired beautifully. It was worth every bite! The quesabirria that my gf ordered was so yummy and hot that I might've ate more than I should've from her plate, haha. The ambiance was nice and simple, clean and with a dash of bachata music in the background -- which makes for a very festive dining experience. One thing that will also keep me coming back is the private parking available to their customers, as opposed to the (impossible) street parking(which is quite the norm on this side of town). Overall a true 5-star experience and I would definitely keep them in mind when I'm feeling Mexican and Salvadorian food. Compliments to the chef, servers, Abi and the total staff. They're the real deal for sure!!!! P. S. - you will not be disappointed! So give them a try!

Taco plate. Hearty and delicious. Try the tamarindo drink, too.

Went on a whim tonight! SO GLAD we did. You can TASTE the love in every dish. Efficient service, a bit more than a hole in the wall: good restaurant space, lighting was a bit commercial but you're at a restaurant for the food not fancy light fixtures. Got the yuca frita appetizer, combinacion Guanaca, and birria tacos. The pupusas are FANTASTIC!!!! The flavor in every dish was just delightful. So so so so good. Will ABSOLUTELY be back!

Our family ate here as an alternative to Thanksgiving this year. Abi was very welcoming and helped us pick some delicious food. We LOVED the pupusas! We had the queso con loroco - delcious! The horchata is homemade and is the perfect combination of slightly sweet and nutty. We also enjoyed the elote and guacamole. Yum! All of it! We used to eat at this location when it was The Egg and I. It is nice to see all the improvements made in the restaurant. It is clean and feels fresh and new with the beautiful Salvadoran art on the walls. We will be back. Thank you, Abi!

    Pupusas 3 for $12

My friend and I had a random craving for pupusas after shopping. We decided to Google search nearby restaurants that offered this Salvadorian delicacy. We came across Abi's and I remembered that this business had gone viral few years ago due to a beautiful act. Okay now about the food, we ordered the deal of 3 pupusas for $12. I got 2 revueltas and 1 garlic one. They were really good, tasted well-- only thing I did notice on one of them is that the dough wasn't cooked all the way on the thicker edges-- but that's okay, I just cut that part out. The pupusas were still delicious. I ate them all. I left FULL, satisfied and happy with my meal. This uptown location is new, so lots of upgrades yet to be made (according to the owner). Service was also great, she was very kind and made sure we were well attended.

I had both Mexican and Salvadorian today and both were top notch. Will definitely come back next time I need either. A+

Try the shrimp fajitas. Ask them to make them spicy (if you can take the heat). Comes out delicious and piping hot. Excellent.

Out came…read morea piping hot platter of goodies including a chicken tamale, two baked vegetable pastries, grilled pork, fried plantains, and yuca fries. We marveled at the amount of food, and then out come our pupusas and a partially filled container of cabbage slaw. We were pleasantly surprised to find flavorful tostada-like item topped with shredded meat (perhaps pork) and vegetables broke easily in half without making a mess. (The word "tostada" does not appear in the menu, so it must be called something else.) The crisp yuca fries were among the best I've had. I was also very happy that we got extra cabbage slaw. The hearty and just-sweet-enough horchata had some nice spices I didn't recognize. For $30 we stuffed ourselves silly and had leftovers for later. Our server came back from time to time to ensure we had what we needed. The one disappointment was the ambience. They probably kept the lights off because it was hot outside, but when we first walked in I wondered if they were closing soon. Sitting near the window helped us forget that the lights were off. The bathroom was in good working order, if a little run down. In any case, we'll definitely stop by again when we find ourselves in this corner of town. The mojarra frita (fried fish) looks really good, and I want to try that next time.
