    Authentic El Salavadorian food
    Sheldon B.

All they had to say was "Authentic. El. Salvadorian. Food." Let's do this!!! We went with good friends who're from Cali, and they've lived here in Minnesota and they said it's been hard to find good, authentic El Salvadorian food, but this spot is it, and they've brought lots of friends here- specifically for the Pupusas. The place is lively, it's fun, the music is at a higher volume than a normal restaurant, and it was high energy, festive like, but it didn't deflate or inhibit our conversation at all. My wife and I went with the Pupusas Chicarrón con queso because it was the most authentically recommended dish by our friends. And I ordered a mango passion fruit type drink ( I can't remember the name of it but it sounded real good when it rolls off the tongue, how could I say no?) The passion jugo, with mango did not disappoint!!! It was sooooo refreshing!! It wasn't too sweet, it wasn't too tart, it wasn't based off high fructose corn syrup, it was soooo good. I swear they had somebody in the back fresh squeezing ripened fruit and putting on ice, cus it was just that good. Not a drop left in the cup. The Pupusas were on point! I've never had them before, never heard of them before, my wife said the closest thing they reminded her of were arepas. The flavor was on point, and I was full and still had one full papusa left. You know it's good food when you're full but you don't feel weighed down by carbs or greasy ick, this food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The waitress spoke mostly espaniol, but I let my friends order for us as my wife and I are still learning the language. I will definitely be back. My friend also told us they bring in live music on Sundays. Towards the end of our time together, a drunken patron came and began a conversation with my friend. I kept looking back at the front area to see if anyone working was gonna come and handle the guy. After the conversation went so long, I tapped my friend on the shoulder and asked him if he needed me to get up or if he was good. Finally the guy left, but then he came back. Keep in mind the restaurant is practically full as it's 2:30 in the afternoon. When I we left, the drunken patron attempted to push me, he put his hand on my chest but he couldn't move yours truly, it was like a chihuahua trying to pick a fight with a pit Bull. I removed his arm, looked him in the eye, walked passed him and returned his arm and hand to him. And we kindly exited the restaurant, not letting this drunken patron being down our day. I would recommend this place, just know it has a bar section and they don't handle drunken patrons if they start something with other patrons. But I'm 6'3 300 lbs, and trained, so I wasn't bothered or put off. But someone who's just looking to have a good meal may have been put off by it. I will be back, cus the food is delish!!

This place is amazing. Stopped in for the first time and already planning what we'll order on our visit. Both cafe and bakery are fantastic

Waited 56 minutes for 3 papisas that we're so burnt! Do not eat here the ladies working there have the worst attitude and customer services!
