The onions and tomato that were chopped up in it were so satifyingly chopped I really enjoyed, it was nice and cold too. I got the quesabirria tacos for my meal and they were out of this world, I seriously think I inhaled them and have been thinking about them ever since. We were drinking Pina Coloadas and it made me feel like I was on the beaches of Mexico. Service - There was one server working on a busy Friday night and she killed it; she was attentive and remembered everything whilst also being the bartender too!!! Ambience - it is colorful and bright in there and just almost nostalgic. We got our food pretty quickly. I got the snapper ceviche and a grilled shrimp taco. The ceviche comes with some chips which were nicely crispy and salty. The ceviche was just okay to me, a lot of it felt like mush. I prefer big chunks of fresh citrusy fish and it seemed like there were a lot of other ingredients in there. The taco was pretty good, I liked the shrimp inside. Decent meal and good service if you're looking for some food in the downtown area!

Both were good, I would definitely recommend the carne asada. We also got chips and guac. The guacamole had a strong lime taste and was so unbelievably delicious, I would go back just for the guac. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant and a ton of street parking. The staff were very nice and helpful. We ordered at the kiosk and they brought our food to our table. It looked like the bartender also waits on the tables in the back. There's a section of the restaurant that's a bit loud, but we easily found a spot to sit in a quieter area.

It's a bit whitewashed and leans more Cal-Mex than anything you'd find in Mexico, but I'm not complaining. I love a good California burrito and asada fries, so this style has its place (especially in Minnesota). Service can be slow. It took us about an hour to get two burritos yesterday and the restaurant didn't look busy. Maybe they were just short staffed. My main issue is the salsa. They limit you to one packet per person, and it's not the slightest bit spicy. And where are the limes? This place desperately needs a salsa bar with real options and some heat. Bump up the salsa selection and stop rationing it, and this would be a solid spot. For now, I'll keep getting this to go and buying my own salsa and limes.

The tamales were amazing, the al pastor was excellent, but we all agreed the chilaquiles was the best entree we tried. Be warned, ALL of the entrees were HUGE. The chilaquiles were clearly enough to feed two adults, as was the huevos rancheros. In retrospect, we should have maybe ordered three entrees for four people. Oh, and don't skip dessert!

Food wise, I got the mimosa softserve, it was alright....very champagne-y, kinda a lot for the morning. I got the avocado toast and nothing was too special about it, but solid choice still. Great hashbrown, crispy like McD's. What surprised me was the pumpkin spice tres leches, THAT was delicious. Would I come back for girl brunch? Probably not but I am a sucker for marketing so probably something else yeah.

The prices definitely went up but honestly, given how much this place has grown and recognition they have received, it does makes sense. I ordered my childhood go-to, their birria tacos and a horchata. I already knew what I was getting into, but that first bite still hit me with a wave of nostalgia and pure flavor. The tacos were as rich and juicy as ever, and that horchata? Still absolute perfection, sweet, creamy, and the best way to wash it down your meal. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but this place just has a special place in my heart. So if you're in the area and craving some birria, 100% make the visit.

The skirt steak enchiladas were a standout and easily my favorite dish of the meal. The steak was tender, the portions were generous, and everything came together really well.
