He kept in email/text/phone call communication with us with regular updates, gave us suggestions of where we could cut costs and where we should not, what could simply be repaired vs replaced, and gave us options to keep the job in budget. He kept us apprised of who was coming when. His team was fast working and highly professional, even covering a neighbor's car so a breeze didn't carry paint over to it. My plants next to the house all look great as does the house itself. He went above and beyond making a patio repair, sealing off rodent entry into the walls, and did an awesome job on our front door. He provided photos of before and after of chimney work we couldn't see from below. And they made sure our dog didn't exit the gate while they were working. He even sent us photos of work in progress while we were out of town. Professional, excellent work, thorough, caring, reliable, made sure we were happy with the job, and within budget! I would absolutely recommend him and his team for painting and construction work!

It was a heartbreaking experience--especially having to temporarily vacate our home while repairs were being figured out. As a family, we felt uncertain, displaced, and honestly just exhausted trying to navigate it all. After reaching out on Yelp, Shamrock Roofing & Waterproofing responded quickly--and from the very first interaction, we felt a sense of relief. They didn't just come in and do a job--they truly showed up for our family. From the beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly compassionate. They took the time to walk us through everything step-by-step, clearly explaining what had gone wrong with the previous work and what needed to be done to fix it the right way. They made sure we understood the process, answered every question with patience, and never made us feel rushed or dismissed. They worked closely with my family to ensure everyone was informed and comfortable. They also helped document everything with detailed photos and explanations, which made a huge difference for us during such a stressful time. What truly stood out was their level of care and urgency. With the rain pouring heavily this past week, timing was everything--and they delivered. They showed up when they said they would, stayed consistent, and completed the work right on time despite the weather. Because of them, our home was protected when we needed it most. Their pricing was more than fair for the level of service, quality, and genuine care they provided. But more than anything, it was how they treated us that left a lasting impression. They treated us like people--not just another job--and that meant everything during such a difficult moment for our family. We are beyond grateful for their support, their professionalism, and their integrity. Not only was the quality of the craftsmanship top-notch, but the professionalism exhibited was some of the best I have ever experienced with a contractor. Back to the craftsmanship: Jaime gave me solid advice on the types of stones to select - travertine tile, ledge stone, quartz for the bbq counter, and field tile for the bbq backsplash and the fire pit. Every single piece was cut, shaped or ground as needed, with Jaime often providing direction where I needed it. The result is a stunning backyard, all thanks to Jaime's work. When the raw box for the grill provided by a reseller directly to me, proved to have incorrect cutouts, Jaime stepped in, and with no charge, helped fix the mistake. I also appreciate that Jaime told me what he could, but shouldn't, do: the shell for the fire pit and the bbq were better left for the equipment reseller. Jaime's guys just made them look amazing after installation with ledge stone, field tile and quartz countertops. All expertly done. The communication was also good - as with all good contractors, Jaime is busy, but he sets expectations well. One day, when he got started later than he wanted, but needed to get done because equipment installation was dependent on his completion, his two guys stayed until 11 PM to finish up! Just good people - Jaime and all of his family (and, yes, it is mostly family) are the nicest guys. Polite, friendly and generous with advice, often proactively so: I'd never have thought to backlight the quartz counters, but following this piece of unsolicited advice proved wise. Sambrano's guys were also COVID safe, wearing masks when close to me, and avoiding unnecessary handshakes and such. . Thank you, Sambrano's Masonry!

I reached out to several roofers on Yelp for quotes and sent a picture. Tom from Roof-Life Construction responded back shortly. I called him Friday morning his son, Max, came out a few hours later. Max came out, hopped up on the roof, and found a few slipped and cracked tiles. He actually showed me photos of the underlayment, which was looking pretty rough and worn out. He even sealed a few spots on the spot just to hold me over, which I really appreciated. The quote was very fair and reasonable, so we went for it. His crew showed up early the next morning and knocked out the repairs and new underlayment in about two and a half hours. They were total pros, very thorough, and showed me some before-and-after pics so I could see exactly what they did. All in all a great job! and very professional. I'm very thankful his team was able to come out on short notice and fix my roof before the rain a few days later. I highly recommend Roof-Life Construction for any roof related work!!
