I have always been brought an egg biscuit from here with cheese and never actually step foot inside this place. However that biscuit is so soft and you can tell it's homemade and not from a box. ONE OF A KIND! This is absolutely one of my favorite places to eat! Everything is delicious. The French fries are cut and cooked everyday. They hand you a PILE and you should DEFINITELY put the red Abe's seasoning on them makes them EVEN BETTER. Sweet Tea (not too sweet) is served in an ice cold Mason jar! Burgers are made to your liking and the corn dogs are crunchy. And when you are about to pop and can't possibly eat another bite, make sure you ask for a COOKIE! They are the best chocolate chip cookies on the planet! While your eating take the time to look around at all the decorations and memorabilia. Autographs from Alabama and Billy Bob Thornton, pictures with Donald Trump and other celebrities line the wall with old license plates and foreign currency. Great breakfast spot for traditional breakfasts with eggs, sausage, country ham, tenderloin, biscuits- always consistent, always good. Bacon and biscuits are very good. Coffee is served in real china mugs and the food on real plates - no styrofoam and plastic with breakfast in this place - they deserve a 40-year rebate from the landfill. Real hamburgers (no slugburgers here) and fries are equally popular at lunchtime along with their ribeye sandwich. A true crossroads in Corinth - rub elbows with professionals, business people, factory workers. There are few pretensions in this place, just people serious about eating, talking, and some catching up on the soaps on the TV during lunch. Great place to catch up on anything going on in town - just ask Abe or Terri, odds are they will already have heard about it and can give you the real low-down. Have been eating here 44 years and recommend it highly. Family members have been known to ship their food on regular occasions to distant places for people who miss Terri's biscuits. read more

If you drive down Hwy 72 from Memphis and get to the new Cracker Barrel in Corinth, keep on going another 1/2 mile and turn into Abe's Grill. This is a Breakfast to remember! Country Ham and Red Eye and Sawmill Gravy dances on your taste buds. BUT it is Terri's Biscuits that really put Cracker Barrel and all others to shame. Get there before 10:30 am though. The wonderful Whitfield Family just makes the visit all the more special. DO NOT leave without a Big Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie either! Even if you don't have room for it....you will later! We had business to attend to in Corinth. It was 42 degrees outside, so eating outside was a no go. I like trying new, quirky places, the wife not so much. Before we got there she said, "this isn't going to be some run down dirty place is it?" I smiled and said no dear, as we pulled up she gave me a bit of a glare. Antique junk everywhere, or treasures to some, not much for parking. We walk in the door and they have about 12 to 15 barstools, and the majority of these were filled. Chances of sitting next to someone you don't know are high. Some of them looked pretty rough, but that's ok, I look rougher. Everyone was pleasant and curteous. In this town of rednecks at the bar the establishment had two TV'S playing, it wasn't playing politics or gloomy news, it was cartoons. As soon as we walked in the door we sat down and our drink order was taken, ice cold teas in chilled mason jars, good stuff. Our order was taken promptly and served no more then five minutes later. Their burgers are fantastic and fresh fries. We both got fresh hot chocolate chip cookies which were yummy and gooey. All of this for fifteen bucks. As we sat there, my wife said she hoped they take credit card. Don't worry, in this throw back restaurant, their technology is up to date. My wife said she liked it, so do yourself a favor and don't judge a book by the cover. read more

I'm from out of state. I travel all over for my job. Never been anywhere like Abes! You feel right at home when you walk in. Take a seat at the diner bar table and Abe will come right up ask you if you want a tea or soda. The entire family and the locals inside eating, were all friendly and asked how you were doing.I had a cheeseburger, fries and a sweet tea. (all for $7) The son talked to me for awhile asking what I was in town for, if I'd be back for their famous breakfast and if I wanted a chocolate chip cookie. The entire town of Corinth is a very friendly place. If you are passing thru or in the state of Mississippi- Abe's is a must-stop. If I am ever passing thru again, I'll make the detour back. If you're ever nearby, you must stop in for lunch. Family owned and operated, nicest people you'll meet anywhere. Best burger ever! Fries are great and fresh cut. They make their own seasonings that are awesome. Buy some seasonings to take home, the lighter colored one is great on chicken or pork at home. I use it all the time. The only way you can go wrong is by not ordering at least a double cheeseburger. A triple is best! Is small, so on a busy lunch you'll be seated where you can fit in at the counter, or you can eat on the patio/porch. Great atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. Unless you try to go for dinner or on the weekend, because they're closed. read more

There are several greasy spoon-type restaurants around here. What sets Abe's apart is Ryan, Abe & Terri! We love Ryan! He is the most genuine, kind person! (I'm sure Terri & Abe, too. We just don't know them, as well ;) I love their chocolate chip cookies, cold glasses, fried tenderloin, egg & cheese biscuits & steak sandwiches. Burgers good too. I really get the appeal of a place like this. It's a fun experience to go to a local, divey place and be squished in next to complete strangers, eating a greasy and satisfying from-scratch biscuit or burger. I had to knock off a star for cleanliness though. I know for a fact that food tastes better from a griddle that holds decades worth of ancient grease, but it couldn't hurt to wipe off the quarter inch layer of oil and dust accumulating on the lamps hanging over the bar (and everyone's meal). Just a friendly suggestion...that being said, I am certainly returning. It would just be nice to see those lamps glistening after a good Lysol treatment. read more

This place has lots of atmosphere for a diner with lunch counter seating. Has been a fixture in Corinth, MS since the mid-70s.
