I will give this place 5 stars because of the prices! I took a risk and purchased a $40 battery despite some of the reviews I've read, and so far so good. I would recommend for a guy or girl like me, no kids, mechanically inclined millennial ... not sure if I'd send my mother or pregnant wife here... the place has a very bottom of the barrel you get what you pay for vibe... all and all... i called 9 places before this one and the prices ranged from 90-160 , from big names places like auto zone to, junk yards and even other places that only sell car batteries, this place I saved money. Wow! This place is horrible it deserves zero stars!!! MAJOR Scam!!! I purchased a battery for $50 and after three weeks the battery started to die and I had to Keep getting a jump. I got the Battery tested and was told for sure it was the battery, So BOOM I call Abe's battery service because The battery came with a six month warranty I was Told no problem bring it back. I take the battery back they come outside and test the battery and say oh yes the battery is low they go back inside they come back out and the guys like oh no that's not our battery that battery doesn't come from here! At this point I'm confused like what are you talking about this battery comes from here this man standing right here put this battery in my car like what are you talking about I got it three weeks ago the guys like no this is not our battery He pretty much told me when I checked my battery to see if it was low they swapped The battery and that battery does not belong to them so I told the guy are you serious they never took the battery out the car they tested it with a portable machine and he's like how could they test the battery with a portable machine and I'm like didn't you just test the battery with a portable machine what are you talking about He's like no you said they charged it And when they charged it they swapped it out this is not our battery our battery has a personal label im sorry but there's nothing I can do about it you can't replace it unless you pay me 25 more dollars. Charged me more than the price on the board and made an excuse saying my battery is a special battery that's why it's $10 more then gave me a battery that won't lock down and told me it was going to be ok then only to find out that they blew out the fuse to my power outlet but NOT admitting that they blew it , owner made all kinds of excuses that it's not there fault and that it was my fault even though it was working when I arrived there , VERY DISAPPOINTED ! Remanufactured batteries are cheap here. I purchased my last three batteries here for my beater car. The first one lasted three years; the second one lasted a year and a half, and the last one lasted one month. I brought my last battery back, since it wouldn't recharge, after I recharged it once. The worker there said it was a good battery because the voltage was high. I took it to O'Reilly's and they said there was a bad cell. Rudy here told me they lied to me and just wanted me to buy a new battery. I took the battery to Auto Zone, and they told me it was a bad cell as well. Neither O'Reilly or Auto Zone tried to sell me a battery. The people here are not bad people. They are nice and try to help. However, they won't honor their warranty. Simple as that. Once you buy a battery here cheap, you're on your own. If it lasts three years, you scored; if it lasts a month, you're out of luck. I don't think I'll take that chance anymore. read more

This place is crooked! I purchased a battery from them and exactly one month later it stopped working and wouldn't hold a charge. They sold it to me with a 6 month warranty and wouldn't honor it when I brought the battery back in for an exchange. They said that my car was the problem. But it's not. I just bought a battery from auto-zone and it works just fine. The gentleman at the the counter was very defensive when I asked for them to honor the warranty and fed me so many BS excuses. Tested and replaced my battery in under 10 minutes. The battery is of great quality and I haven't had any issues with it. The brain of my car didn't require reprogramming of the features after replacing the battery. And the owner is lgbt friendly. I wasn't made to feel uncomfortable at all. This place is a total rip off! Be sure if you purchase a battery at this place make sure that they are putting one in that has their label on it. They will put a raggedy ass battery in your car and after a couple of weeks you'll have to keep getting jumps. When you take back the battery they will say that it doesn't belong to their company and that you switch out the battery. A total scam!!!!! Talking to whom I believed to be the owner said that he just managed the place . I think he was lying. I asked him to play back the tape to see me coming in to purchase the battery he then began to say oh the cameras are dummy's and they really didn't work. The older man that worked there was the one that put in the battery. Extremely rude and nonchalant.. He was a total liar and sad he checked the battery before he put it in , he did not!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE In a moment of desperation I stopped here and purchased a used battery with a 6 month warranty for $40 that would be a good deal if the battery worked. 3 weeks later my car was needing to be jumped constantly I took it back only for the very rude worker to tell me it was my fault and I must have left something on to have the battery keep dying on me. They hesitated to even charge it for me, I left my battery there for a few hours to charge and the next day my car wouldn't start. Don't waste your time or frustrate yourself with these assholes. I needed a battery and my neighbor had bought one from this place, so he took my old one (very old) and got a replacement. It was for an old (1971) VW so it's difficult to find the right battery---it has to fit under the rear seat. I've had the battery from Abe's for over a year, possible closer to two. When something works, you don't worry about it. I let the battery run down and I've called Auto Club to get a charge but if the battery needs to be replaced, I know where I'll go.
