Pure Water Pools LLC - do NOT USE…read more I was a longtime customer and supporter of Thorin Blanco's/Pure Water Pools, but after the last several jobs they did for me, I strongly recommend avoiding them. In November 2024, I hired them to replace the vinyl liner in my in-ground pool. Thorin, the owner, had worked on my pool for years and was well aware of the existing issues and repairs needed for this job. Despite that, he and the crew showed up on installation day without the proper materials and ended up improvising with non-standard alternatives. When I raised my concerns, Thorin brushed them off and assured me it would be fine. They didn't finish the job that day, and although Thorin said he'd return the following week, it took multiple attempts and several weeks to get them to come back and complete the work, even though I'd already paid in full. In spring 2025, I hired them again to replace the motor and sand filter. When I asked Thorin for a basic breakdown of the charges, he got incredibly defensive and hostile with me. He told me not to contact him directly anymore and said I should go through his business manager, Will. Not long after that, we started noticing several issues with the pool, including rocks pushing up through the bottom of the brand-new liner, which is a major red flag and suggests improper repair materials were used. I've reached out to Will multiple times, per Thorin's instructions. While he's responded to a few emails, he's ignored every request for an in-person inspection. Since Pure Water Pools has refused to come back and look at their work, I had to bring in other companies. Two separate pool professionals (from outside the Charlottesville area) have looked at the liner installation (to include pictures that I have from the work Pure Water did) and both said the problems we're seeing are likely connected to shortcuts taken during the installation and the use of non-standard materials. If you want a pool company that knows how to professionally communicate with their paying customers, does the job right without cutting corners, and stands behind their work, go somewhere else!!

We started with smaller repairs and he quickly gained my trust with his professionalism, work ethic, and craftmanship. We now have new floors, superior trimming, custom built entry trim (I'm so in love with it), doors, general repairs, and new cabinets. I highly recommend Charles. I am still requesting more work from him, project by project. He provides quotes for his services, sticks to his word, and is prompt and honest. Extra points for cleaning up before he leaves. You would never know there was a mess made. He has gone above and beyond our expectations. CVRS has earned 5 stars.

We are experienced home remodelers and it was great to work with someone who completely met our very high expectations and requirements. Aaron was extremely detail oriented and responsive, had great recommendations for products and colors that would look best with the overall vibe of the house, and kept us informed every step of the process with daily text updates/pictures. Project was completed on time. The floors are absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be happier. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement and we plan to hire him again within the year when we remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. We can't recommend Sheaves Floors highly enough!
