The guys there are very helpful. I've use them several times and their prices are very reasonable.

I was referred to this location by the rental car place. Called Firestone on Friday and the employee told me they would look at it that day and 100% be done by Saturday. -Dropped off at 2pm on Friday. -Called Friday night at closing and the employee said they would get it in first thing in the morning. -Called at 10am on Saturday and they said it was next up. -Called at 2pm on Saturday and they said they were doing the best they could and it was next. I inquired about all the promises made and the employee said he wasn't responsible for something another employee said. -Pulled up 30 minutes before closing time and the vehicle had not moved. I grabbed the keys because these people simply can't be trusted. Mind you, I had told the shop multiple times I was driving my three children over 400 miles and needed it fixed and they said 100% they would With liars like this working, can they really be trusted to give an honest feedback on anything in the shop? I have pictures and call logs of everything as well. If they were honest up front, I would understand but I didn't even get an apology. Garbage people at his location and that's a shame. Avoid at all costs.

When I saw they gave good service every time it was a reason for me to continually go here. I've never had an issue with my car after service or any of the technicians. I can be kind of snippy but they're always very nice and show me grace. The only thing I can say "negatively" is they forget to change my service reminder sticker sometimes. Not a big deal at all. I can always refer to my receipt to see when my next service date will be. Thanks guys!

The service provided was unsatisfactory…read more I took my daughter's vehicle in to have the air conditioning system diagnosed. In my opinion, if I am paying for a diagnostic service, I should receive an accurate diagnosis of the problem--not a guess. Once I know what is actually wrong, I can then decide whether or not to proceed with the repair. I was given an estimate of more than $1,300 to repair the A/C system, even though the shop did not appear to know with certainty what the problem was. I was told the vehicle needed an evaporator and new A/C lines, and that because of the age of the vehicle, the parts would be difficult to find. One of the lines they claimed needed replacement was estimated at around $320. I found the exact replacement line from an online auto parts supplier for approximately $12. I would suggest not using fear tactics or claims that parts are "hard to find" as a way to justify expensive repairs. You never know who you are talking to. I am a mechanic by trade and have experience diagnosing and repairing automotive A/C systems. I replaced the line myself, noting that the condenser was already brand new. After installing the correct line, vacuuming the system, and recharging it with the proper amount of refrigerant, the air conditioning system worked properly. The total cost of the repair was well under $100. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service department for A/C diagnostics or repairs. My issue was resolved and fixed by me with a new $12 line from rockauto.com , refrigerant from AutoZone , I also borrowed their equipment to vacuum down the system and put in new refrigerant less than $100 total invested, which was a far cry from the $1,300 estimate I was given.

I wrote a review just now that was above the size limit so let me give you the condensed version…read more These are extremely decent, kind people of a very rare sort now a days who treat you as a person needing help and go far beyond what most car repair places would ever do for a customer. My car's radiator tank split from (as I found out after it was shown to me after the repair) a combination of heat along with a thick accumulated layer on the radiator itself of dust, dirt, bird feathers (!!) ,twigs and dead leaves that were a quarter inch thick on the radiator effectively choking it to death. They let me stay in the office to work out getting the money raised for the estimated $680-$700.00 repair including tax. Then Michelle at the front desk helped me find a better motel to stay at, After I got a reservation she drove me there after picking up her husband from work, Ernie the shop manager picked me up the next morning, drove me first to Auto Zone where I got some extra anti freeze so I could have some money. It turned out that they were able to use the gallon I just so happened to have in my trunk, a lot places will still use what they have in stock and charge you for it with a big mark up Ernie then told me that although the estimated labor time was four hours Pete the mechanic working on my car actually put in another 3 hours the night before due to the radiator on my '04 Alero (this was only it's 2nd breakdown in the 9 years I owned the car) has to be dropped down as one assembly including all the attached pumps, lines and fans . THEY were NOT charging me for the extra time because when they give an estimate they stick to it. Also they knew that this was a real punch in the gut for me financially and they wanted to help me. They repaired a transmission line which if it was not fixed would of resulted in the transmission burning out for no extra charge except for the $2.50 for the piece of rubber hose that connects the radiator to the transmission. They went out of their way to cut costs (along with my AAA labor discount of 10% to help me out to when all was said and done the actual cost was around $590.00 before tax and my final total was $613.00. I am sure they lost money or at best barely broke even. Earnie then dropped me off at Golden Corral which is very cheap and very good if you really enjoy food. I was called at 2:15 to be told Ernie was coming to pick me up because the car was finished. That was 45 minutes earlier than estimated. Pete took time out to go over the repair in detail, explain everything he did, then show me the broken radiator (which I mentioned before) while assuring me that this just happens and there was nothing I could of done to have prevented it. Then give me his appraisal of the over all long term health of the car which is the old girl still has a lot of life left and if I treat her right as I have been she is good for another 3 years maybe more! Which is amazing for a car with around 245,000 miles on her. I said my goodbyes and felt like I was leaving good friends who had rescued me when I was in a world of hurt! If you ever do break down in or near Aberdeen MD, do NOT go anywhere but Thompson's. They are the salt of the earth and good Samaritans who see their job as helping their customers above making a profit. I felt like I made new friends there so as part of paying them back for how wonderfully they treated me I want do what I can to make sure all "Yelpers" who are in the Aberdeen area who need car repair help to give Thompson's all of their business which is very well deserved. Thanks for reading this to the end.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Had an accident and have AAA…read morePlus, was told by AAA associate tow was covered! Only going to need to tow 3 miles. Thompson showed up and the first thing driver told me before getting out of his truck was that I would have to pay him $100.00 for the tow. I let him know I was covered by AAA Plus and he said doesn't matter, I need to pay him $100.00!! I called AAA back and told them what I was being charged and AAA rep said,"no he is wrong, let me talk to him". I handed the Thompson tow driver my phone and HEARD THE AAA REP. tell him,"this customer is covered; Thompson will be paid for this tow". Then another tow truck arrived from Thompson. They talked to each other and BOTH TOW TRUCKS LEFT WITHOUT TOWING MY CAR!!! The officer called another company and now I have to pay this other company since they are not in AAA and for storage of my car when it was supposed to be towed to my house by an AAA approved vendor. AAA needs to drop these clowns!!!
