I first brought in a used Jaguar F-Pace I was thinking about buying, and their detailed inspection confirmed several issues I was already worried about. Their report was clear, complete, and easy to understand -- it really helped me make an informed decision not to go through with that purchase. A short time later, I found another car -- an Infiniti Q50 -- and brought it to Mr. Tire for inspection as well. Once again, they gave me an excellent, detailed report and took the time to explain everything clearly. '' The car has been well maintained and this is solid purchase.'' So, I will say that I've had a good experience with this store in the past. I was there April 5th and had my brakes done. Everything was good. Mr. Magee helped me out and was very nice and accomodating. It took a couple days to get my car back but that was because of staffing issues. These things happen and I took it in stride. I came back May 7th to get my oil changed because they took good care of me last time. Mr. Magee waited on me and gave me a discount. I noticed that there was only one mechanic on duty but it was later in the day (I arrived at 5:30pm, my appointment was at 6pm) so I just assumed maybe it was slow or whatever and they only needed one guy. Well today (May 8th), I get a call from my father saying there's a huge oil spot on our driveway and lo and behold, I walk out to the parking lot of where I work and there's a fresh puddle of oil on the ground under my vehicle. One of my coworkers took a look and told me that it's more than likely a loose oil plug. So it seems I spent $110 for...what exactly? This could have caused MAJOR damage to my engine. I live in Havre de Grace and drive out to work in Middle River. That is a 25 mile commute. My father called them and was told that I should bring the car back in to have it fixed. It's a wonder my engine made it all the way here; it's too risky to drive back! They also said that they couldn't send anyone out to fix what they did wrong. My father said something about contacting his lawyer about it and the lady on the line simply told my father to "have a nice day" and hung up on him. I won't be going back to this location and giving them my business. They're always understaffed and now I see what kind of shoddy work they do. Now I'm wondering if my brakes were even changed. UPDATE: So it turns out that somehow my oil pan was cracked between yesterday evening and today. My father managed to take the car back to this store and they had the audacity to say that they didn't crack the oil pan. Funny how suddenly my car is leaking all this oil when there was no issue before. They told him it would cost over $700 to fix when they lied and said it wasn't their doing. Do yourself a favor and avoid Mr. Tire like the plague. Something that should have only cost $110 is going to cost a lot more now because of their mistake. read more

Went in to change tires to a new set of wheels. Told it should be 1 to 1.5 hours. Vehicle went into the bay 30 minutes after my appointment. Two hours and 15 minutes later it was done. The customer service was terrible like I was a problem. No communication if there was a problem that made the appointment take longer than discussed. Rob and his team got my family back on the road after being stranded in the area. We broke down after hours and had to get a hotel. We parked it at the shop and came over from the hotel at opening trying to not get stuck longer than the night. These guys fixed the alternator and got us back on the road working a few hours. Called 5 days ago to ensure the tires we wanted were available. Employee tells us he will get them ordered or get them from Mr. So and So. We show up for our appointment, 30 minutes after appointment time someone calls to tell us that there was no record of anyone ordering said tires. We settle on tires that are not the quality that we wanted (over the phone) and asked that they continue. The amount of time it would take was estimated to be 45 minutes. About 15 minutes later, they called back to inform us that their Bel Air location had the tires that we originally requested so someone could go pick them up if we wanted. 2.5 hours after the time we should have been picking up the car and we are finally paying for the tires (full price and we waited much longer than the estimated length of time) After calling the toll free number that Meegan gave me, I was on hold for 18 minutes and had not spoken to anyone. They'll answer your questions to the best of their knowledge without any unnecessary haggling or BS. In fact.. 2) I came here for the first time to get a second estimate. Another shop nearby tried to BS me into purchasing repairs that I did not need. 3) Timely service. I've never had to wait longer then a few hours. They'll actually ask YOU when you need your car by. I am not one to write on yelp, but after today I the staff working here deserved every ounce of praise I could give and more. I wore my tires bald driving from Virginia to New York and had to stop 3 hours into my drive for replacement tires. I then gave the men the wrong tire size over the phone so they had to tirelessly (pun unintended) search for my size tire or something that could work. Oh and did I mention I came in at 4:50 on a Sunday and they were supposed to close at 5. We had a blown tire while driving from NJ to SC. The State Troopers told us to come here to have the tire replaced as the spares are only good for 20 miles or so. Jeff told me it would cost $354. Imagine our surprise when the bill was over $600. He had added alignment ( which I told him I would do once back in SC.). We were stuck almost 2 hours sitting in the lobby ( and no toilet paper in their bathroom)! All I wanted was a new tire and to get back on the road. My car would not start. Had towed to Mr. Tire Aberdeen, Maryland. Was told that it was the fuel pump, Not sure how they knew that if the car did not start when it was delivered and would not start and they could not get started while the car was at their repair facility or after installing the fuel pump. No paperwork showing that the car had a diagnostic completed to determine the problem and was charged a fee for this. Car was delivered via tow on a Friday. Was told that could get the repairs done and completed by Friday. Later (Christina, who was very courteous on the phone) called me and said they could not get the part until Monday. My car sat their over the weekend. I had to get a rental car. Monday I was told (by the Asst. Mgr.(male) the fuel pump had been installed , but that they could not get the car to start because of the (anti-theft lock system and the codes would not allow them to start the car) and they did not know how to get the car started. Told me to car the car dealership and have a new key made because the key they had wouldn't start the car and pretty much offered to do nothing to try to help me figure out how to get my car repaired. So I had to use the money to pay Mr. Tire for the fuel pump to pay for a car rental for the rest of the week while my car sat at Mr. Tire until Friday of the next week. I then had to pay to have my car towed to another repair facility, pay another diagnostic and now they say it was never the fuel pump, but the ignition switch which prevented the car from starting all along. But now I cannot pay them another $600+ right now because I had to renew the rental car for another week to get the money together to pay this new repair facility. Nightmare Right! You bet. There was even one time when I went to Mr. Tire to retrieve an item out of my car and my car was sitting unlocked in the parking lot. So I went in the car and got my items and no one even noticed that I went in the car. I locked my car and left the premises. When my car was delivered it was damaged from the first tow to Mr. Tire. They did not notice and when I went to visit the facility reported it to Karina (she said that they did not touch the car, they only pushed it into the shop to start the work). Mr. Tire, Aberdeen Maryland, The other repair facility, the rental car company and the tow companies are all benefitting off of the poor customer. In this case (Me)! I will be writing a letter to Mr. Tires headquarters about this situation and will keep you posted on what if anything they did to help accommodate me refund my money or resolve the situation. ( I have to say in a good way that Karina did offer to price match my estimate at a lower price and honored the price reduction on the fuel pump repair). I am also dealing with another similar situation on another car (BMW) with almost the same exact scenario. Are car repair companies back on that scamming the customer stuff again because the economy is tight again?? Im starting to think so. Right now, would I ever again recommend Mr. Tire for anything. LOL Absolutely not. But we will see how they handles this. Along with the tow company for damaging my car on the initial delivery. It doesn't hurt me that I am a part-time journalist and host covering the areas of business, entrepreneurship and innovation. Two stars because the customer service was great. My husband always seems to believe mechanics always finds SOMETHING wrong. We took the car in about four weeks ago for noises coming from the tires, they looked at them and said that nothing was wrong... today my husband takes the tires off himself because we are sick of that noise and found out it was something wrong with the breaks and it damages the rotors very badly. I believe if they would have looked at the car properly we wouldn't have this problem, they've worked on two of our previous cars no problem, but this time we felt lied to something this small could have prevented something big. We have no proof if they checked out our problem or not, just that if had we wouldn't be searching for a new mechanic. read more

I was driving a long distance. I had stopped at the Maryland House on my way to NJ. The TPMS light came on. I examined my tire and saw an metal object in the tire. I googled and found that Mr. Tire was the closest from Maryland House so I drove there cautiously. I went inside and the gentleman said it would be 2 hours before someone could see my. I asked if he could see the object and let me know if it was safe for me to drive an additional 300 miles. He graciously came outside and we could not find the object. He said it might have fallen out during the 7 mile ride from Maryland House to Mr. Tire. He was very professional, kind, compassionate and helpful. My husband's truck broke down directly across the street from Mr. Tire this afternoon. He walked the 10 feet to the store and asked if they were able to test his alternator (we were 99% sure it was responsible). Bear in mind it was 22 degrees and windy, and the truck wouldn't even turn on. The man at the desk told him they were short staffed and walked away. We had a puppy in the car.
