Aberdeen is the next-to-last MARC station, going north. The depot is clean, conveniently-located in downtown Aberdeen, and very small. There are no vending machines, but they do have nice bathrooms and an electronic sign announcing train times. Mostly, it serves a purpose: protection from the elements while waiting for your train. Parking is available, but it's tight during peak hours. The building is closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can still get to the platforms, but I don't think any trains depart during that time. The station is unmanned, and there is a kiosk if you need to buy a ticket.
If you're boarding a north-bound train, walk to the back of the building and follow the signs to a pedestrian tunnel that will take you to the right platform. Also, trains arriving from the south will drop off passengers at that same back platform, and you will have to use the tunnel to get to the front entrance and the parking lot. All other trains wil board/de-board from the platform directly behind the station. If all else fails, follow someone! read more
