Beware. The service department has scammed me twice so far. The most recent event involved being told I needed rear brakes & rotors, because the pads were at 1mm and had damaged the rotors. Upon inspection, the rotors were fine, but I agreed to the pad replacement, based on the technician's report. I later compared service reports from the last one, (5000 miles prior), and they're telling me the the pads went from 6mm to 1mm in 5000 miles, which is impossible. I then went back 3-weeks later, since I did a 5000 mile cross-country trip) and the report says the rear pads are at 6mm, when new ones are 14mm out of the box. In other words, I was charged for the pads and labor, but they never installed the new pads. Just beware, they're scammers and trying anything to pad their bill. read more

I asked if a vehicle had damaged side steps because it looked like it did in the photo the main Manager there spoke with me and assured me that nothing was broken and everything was in great shape. I ran my credit I put a deposit down. I drove 2 1/2 hours and the vehicle had broken side steps and rust all over the frame. The main manager was supposed to come and talk to me, but he was too busy with meetings. I sat there for 45 minutes and had to leave absolutely terrible business. She went around the corner to the service desk and told me the service representative was busy. I then received a text from Timothy stating I can text him at this number during my service visit. I texted "I there an ETA?" at 1:45 which went unanswered. I re-texted at 2:45 "2hr oil change? Tech spends more time on his phone than changing the oil" which also went unanswered. Techs are visible from the viewing window. Car was finally finished around 3pm. Paperwork took another 30 minutes. This was my first time and last time patronizing Abeloff Nissan. read more

Since then, I've tried calling a few more times for an update. I most recently called in the beginning of October and left a message inquiring about where I was on the waitlist. Still no answer. Approached them to buy a new car! The car I wanted was not on the lot. They told me that if I let them run my credit report and left a deposit they would find one for me. I told my salesman that without an identified car to deposit on I wouldn't leave a deposit or allow them to run my credit report. Lo and behold they identified a car, presented me s sheet with the info about the car. I left a deposit and consented to them running my credit report. Well, for he next two days they were near impossible to reach but each time I did I got a different story and timeline. Finally, they said they were waiting to hear from the manager of a dealer in Connecticut. They'd know by one o'clock when it would arrive. When I gave them to 1:30 and was told that it was down to a dealership in Conn. or NY. I realized they had lied all along, that the car on the sheet was just a ploy to get me to fill out the credit report. I confronted them and asked them to cancel my order and refund my deposit. I then went on the internet where I could check the inventories of all the Nissan dealers within a 60 mile radius. Found the exact car I was looking for in WilkesBarre. In fact, they had two in the color I was seeking and equipment I wanted.So I travelled the hour as opposed to the 1/2 hour to Stroudsburg. I had called ahead, the had the car washed when I arrived. I went to go sign the paper work and asked the finance guy what the APR was and he said 9.7%. So I refused to buy the truck at that APR and asked for my keys back since I already spenyt 4 hours of my day off there. He said let me get my boss. His boss came in one of the finance managers and was very rude. He didn't give me any options just made rude comments about my credit score. I'm not sure what his end game was possibly shaming me into buying a car at 9.7% interest. My wife and I were just disgusted and couldn't wait to get out of there. I have been buying new cars for the past twenty five years and I have never dealt with such a rude and condescending dealership employee in that timeframe. I bought my 2014 Nissan Sentra here a few years ago. The sales were fine, but the service department is horrible. I had a tire issue a while back. I was told I would get a call back, 2 data went by and nothing. I called them and left a message- no answer, no call back. I called them AGAIN the week after- again, no call back. Meanwhile I'm stuck at home with a flat tire. I ended up getting it fixed somewhere else and paid for it even though I paid for the tire plan at Abeloff and it should have been free. Last week I took my car to get an oil change and to figure out why my car was pulsating while accelerating. They changed the oil, had my car for about an hour, and told me it was a recall programming issue in the transmission & that they could plug it in & fix it another time "when they had time." I specifically asked if it was safe to drive & the guy told me that it was perfectly safe, no worries. During the weekend following, I drove to my dad's down the shore and when I started to get close to his house, the car started to pulsate during the entire drive, causing me to have to drive in the right lane, under the speed limit with my hazards on. I finally made it back home and I brought it to Kelly Nissan in Easton, PA. When I called Abeloff they told me that I can tow it to them "at my own cost." I laughed. Kelly took it over night, called me back today and told me the entire transmission needed to be replaced and that it was NOT safe to drive. Luckily I'm under warranty and it's free (all I had to pay for was a new battery- which Abeloff ALSO should have caught). I lucked out in price and with my life because honestly, who knows what could have happened to me if I didn't take it easy. I will NEVER go to Abeloff again. My oil changes are free at Abeloff with my see ice plan, but I'd rather pay for my services than go back there. They don't care enough to call their customers back and clearly don't care enough to really look at the car long enough to see this HUGE issue. I do not recommend. read more

My mother bought a brand new Nissan Rogue Sport two months ago. The car has serious malfunctions - Automatic Emergency Breaks spontaneously trigger while she's driving. This has happened twice already, in broad daylight and clear driving conditions. She is afraid to drive this car now. My friend bought a used Nissan Rogue from Abeloff. Since over a year ownership she has had her car in the shop over three times for various highly priced issues with her car. Thankfully, she had a warranty for most, but her carfax said her car was never in an accident and that every service was made regularly at this very dealership with only one past owner. Latest ssue was a transmission failure and her car is only a 2008 with 143,000 miles. She btought it in over three weeks ago and still they do not respond to her emails, her calls, or ehen she stops into talk to them about how long before she hets her car back. It took over a week and a half before they even offered a temp car for her to drive and it was a smelly little Nissan Versa with no power windows or locks. Over the entire time period she has had constant issues with this company's customer service, if you can call it that. Her car has been checked out by other professionals and saw that the rotors were original (shouldve been changed by now) and the axle issues. They still cannot give her a clue as to when her car may be done. It just sits in the parking lot of the dealership. I chose 2 used Rogues online to test drive and called ahead of time. I chose 1 to purchase. It was a weekday, not very busy, only 2 other folks at sales. I provided all required info and was told finance had to get the paperwork together- 4 HOURS later, still no paperwork ready, told it would be just a "few minutes" multiple times. No customer was left in the department but me and my husband, still waiting. Walked down to the finance office to see what was the hold up , to see 6-7 employees, hanging around bullshitting, again we were told "just a few minutes" - they still needed to get tags and titles ready. We were done, told the salesman we were not waiting any more and were leaving. Disgusted, poor customer service (how many bottles of water can you drink). This dealership is the worst ever, I went for a state inspection and brake fluid change. I didn't get neither one, I have tires that are very noisy that is the nature of those tires so they claim the car has hub problem they were charging 500.00 + and then they charge $135.00 for the brake fluid they never changed. the brake fluid was the same burnt fluid that was there in the first place, after complaining about the hub they told me maybe it was the tires that worn the hubs. My wife was in a desperate situation and needed her Versa towed because it wouldn't start. She wanted to take it to the dealer (Abeloff) for 2 main reasons. Nissan parts and a courtesy car. After being told over the phone the car would be available it never was. She spoke to someone on the phone not knowing car parts all that well and just needed her car fixed so she could get to work. Her car needed a alternator and belt. This is a sub compact economy car. The alternator was remanufactured and they charged her $800.00. I asked for Abeloff assistant sales manager Emily Prisco to justify these costs. After disputing the diagnostics charge ( pretty easy to know a alternator is seized) Ms. Prisco became extremely rude towards us and combative. Treated us like school children and told us to go sit in the waiting room while she looks into this matter. Funny she knew about the diagnostics charge already. Needless to say I paid them in full and even offered them a extra 100.00 because they obviously need money to take advantage and rob people for work that doesn't cost that much. TLDR: Abeloff Nissan in Bartonsville, PA are shifty, shady people who charge an overwhelming amount of money for labor, do sloppy jobs, make you return multiple days for simple things, purposefully cause problems with your vehicle to bring you back in, and just overall rip you off for your time and A LOT of your money. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else. I bought my jeep from them about 2 years ago. You get free inspections for life and 4 free oil changes. Every time I went in for a free oil change, they would find something wrong with the car. Something that I know for a fact wasn't a problem before I brought the car to them. This happened 3 times and I never used my fourth oil change and went to Competition tire for them after that. Now for the inspection. I bought the car in December 2017 and it was inspected until 11/18 meaning they had just inspected it. There was a chip in the windshield when I bought the car but they assured me it was no big deal and that it would pass the next inspection so long as the chip didn't move. Come 11/18, I took it to them to get it inspected and they told me I had to get the entire windshield replaced for a measly 600 dollars or so. Keep in mind I am a full time college student who works part time so this is just impossible for me. So apparently the chip was fine when they inspected the car with the intent to sell it but now that I had brought it back to them the windshield suddenly needed to be replaced. So now my story ends with my 11/19 inspection. I brought the car to them and they come out and tell me that the air cabin filter housing was never there and that it was obviously important to the car's performance. So now they're telling me that they sold me a car without a filter or even the housing for the filter. So fine, I pay for it, they tell me they need me to order it so I can come back the week after. An entire week rolls by and I still haven't received a call from them, so I have to take it upon myself to call and ask about the part. After navigating their horribly oblivious and apparently technologically challenged service/parts team, I'm finally told that yes, the part had been there for days and I can bring it in the next monday. When the next monday comes around I wait about 2 hours in the waiting room just for me to find out that they need special clips for the filter housing that they didn't know about so they would have to order them so I would have to come back Wednesday. So that wasted 2 hours of my day I could've spent studying. Finally, today, I go in and they have the clips. I only have to wait in the lobby for about 15 minutes. The guy (I think his name was Nick?) tells me i'm all done and gives me the bill. The bill was 6.00 for the cost of the clips and 35.99 for the 10 minutes it took for them to put them in. I have been patient with Abeloff Nissan for two years now but this whole air filter ordeal has pushed me over the edge. They do sloppy work, charge astronomic labor prices, and they nitpick and screw with your vehicle so you have to spend more money than you should. Their service department is shady and unreliable. My husband and I came in on a Saturday with our two children to purchase a car. We found one we loved and we asked my dad to drive down in the middle of the day that day to try it out as well. He loved it too so we started the buying process. Since they were closing we agreed to come back on Monday. When we got there first thing Monday, there were paperwork complications on our end. So we brought them our trade-in car to look at and told them we would be back in on Saturday to complete the deal. They were not happy about that because they wanted the sale before the end of the month, however, my husband and I could not take off an additional day from work, so they agree to finish the deal on Saturday. The next day, Tuesday, they called my husband, and told him they had someone else interested in the car and they wanted us to put a NONREFUNDABLE deposit down of $1,000. We had not yet discuss our trade in deal or monthly payment option, I wasn't going to give them a nonrefundable deposit. They were so obsessed with making a sale before the end of the month they lost a sale for this month, next month, and any future sales from myself or my family.
