However, I took the opportunity to rent out a different lens instead, since I do want to try it out. Tony is pretty responsive via email, and they also suggested I call when he wasn't there the first time I went. I do recommend going in person, though, because they're very nice and let you try out the lens in store before renting. Not all the lenses on the website are necessarily available; I had wanted to rent the Fujifilm 24mm F/2, but they only had the F/1.4 (though they had both for the 35mm). I opted to rent the 18mm F/2 ($75 for the week), and they were very generous with giving me the weekends as well for the same price since they're not open on weekends. Everyone is very knowledgeable about cameras, friendly, and professional. I would definitely come back.

Camera was repaired, but they charge for looking at any additional parts like prisms, lenses, etc. I only had a problem with the body of the camera. Very helpful offered me advice and uncovered what the issue may be and what to look out for. It was a relief that my contax t3 was okay and the test shots looked great. The only downside is the price you are paying it's a lot more than it was five years ago they do such an amazing. And one of the few places remaining that fix contax cameras and t3 models. I guess in a way it justifies their level of service.

i don't wanna bag on this place since i didn't get film developed here, but if you're a…read morephotographer and need your film developed i would not reccomend this place as a first choice. i came in with two rolls and requested develop only for them as well as same day turn around (that's usually pricier anyway which makes sense) but they'd told me it'd be $90 for two rolls?! that makes zero sense when develop only with no cut is already less work so it should be cheaper, mind you no scans either, and with same day turn around it should not be nearly $100 for two rolls. they tried to mansplain and justify the price as well which was not surprising but i've been all over manhattan and brooklyn to develop film and have never encountered something like this. they're probably good for bringing your disposable camera images but if your looking to get film developed at a reasonable price there are plenty of places i recommend other than here!

Absolutely the worst customer service possible, I understand having a crappy day and not being in…read morethe best mood while working with customers all day HOWEVER the experience I had with the ~60 yr old bald man in the back was unacceptable. Was cussing just to say "bad" words which doesn't bother me but come on really keep it somewhat professional. Then the real problem, I simply wanted to get some screws replaced that are corroded or get an idea of the price. Nope told no you don't need to replace them and just wait until it gets worse before fixing a small problem to solve a bigger one down the road. Legit just looked at it and said it's only corrosion on the screw head, which I'm not sure how you can tell there is not corrosion on the body without removing the screw. Forgetting the fact that once the chemical process starts it doesn't stop and will continue to get worse. I also had to wait so I got to hear also how he interacted with other customers and safe to say it was not great especially the people in front of me who seems new to photography. Would be far better off just going to B&H if you're new or looking for gear.

The store manager contacted me on 03/29/25 to state that they would be unable to process my recent order as the head technician felt that he would be unable to achieve the "quality I expect", which is simply a scan without the residue or anomalies. For context, I gave Pro Image over $2000 worth of business in the last 2 year period. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this incompetent business. A disgrace to the NYC photography community.

Quality is first-rate; I've been going there for years and never had an issue. When I needed fine art prints, they matched what I saw on my monitor.
