I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. For a retirement gift, my boss had bought $50 gift certificates to six micro breweries in Guelph, which has been great. We've had dinner at some, but at others, I have just bought cans of beer to go (usually I put in a bit more cash and get 18 cans). This place must not have had a proper gift certificate, because I just had a "pint card" (4 beers value - $34) and the balance was rung up as 2 X 473mL lagers, for about $50. I explained to the server that I was sure this was meant to represent a $50 gift card and she said it was just a pint card and my boss must have drank the two tall boys there (while touring around Guelph to get gift cards at 2pm). Anyway, I finally took the 4 cans, which were $34 plus tax, although for $30, you could get 6 cans. I'm probably going on too long about this, but I feel like I was ripped off and this is my only way to deal with it, emotionally. Anyway, I will never go back there again, and please, never buy a gift certificate from this establishment.

I'm SO happy to have a craft brewery in my neighborhood. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Just a short walk from my house, I can now enjoy a craft beer in a unique environment. Storm Stayed has lots of their own beers plus lots of guest brews to choose from. I had two types, their Daybreak (blonde ale), and their Bad Math. Both were very refreshing and SO delicious. Having been to a few small craft brewers here in town, I'd say that Storm Stayed had the best taste hands down! In addition to great beer, they have lots of seating and lots of games you can pick up and play. I love that they push a 'sit anywhere' policy. I'm sure on busy evenings, this would be a great way to meet people! Storm Stayed gets a half a mark off for overall atmosphere. If you are looking for something cozy and intimate, this may not work for you. With its tall, bare, white walls, large spaces between tables, and echo-y acoustics, it can feel kind of cold and cavernous. The top 40 music being played from the tiny speaker in the corner didn't really fit in either. These things, however, will not keep me away. I'm excited to stop in for more brews that Storm Stayed cooks up! They are always adding unique flavors and guest taps.They also host small events like bike workshops. He confirmed our reservation and directed us to our seat. Then our waitress came to our table to welcome us and left to get us some water. There were lots of items on the menu, so it took some time for us to decide what we wanted to order. My partner ordered Chicken Curry Poutine and I chose Coconut shrimp, Cranberry and Feta Wrap with french fries. A few minutes later, our orders arrived hot and fresh. We were surprised by how large the portion size was! Plus, the food was delicious. During our meal, our waitress came by to check in on us. Delicious food, friendly service, and fun vibe. Highly recommended!
