Got a bit thirsty driving back from Kingston and were lured in by signs on the 401. It was a good move. We started with the four-beer sampler. Liked the farmhouse wheat, hazy (DDA) pale, and Scottish wee heavy; the standard IPA not so much. Atmosphere is casual and cool. A singer/guitarist treated the pub to unplugged classic rock standards, and he was quite good. One of those unpretentious breweries in a quasi-industrial space cranking out great beers for the people who appreciate them. If only they served food...

Great tasting beer. I tried the special brew, raspberry saison, and it was refreshing, crisp, and delicious. Great atmosphere. Great crowd - mix of young professionals and lively adults. Great service. Bar tender was friendly and we were served quickly! Definitely coming again!

That isn't a menu photo, that's the actual plate I received. Deconstructed poutine on a burger feels very much like home to a Kentuckian.

I am in Woodstock for work, and a colleague suggested I give this place a try. What an awesome…read moreplace! There is an outside patio, and a large open interior space - definitely a bit of a biergarden feel to it. You go to the bar to order your food and drinks, and tell the server where you are sitting. They then bring the food out to you. Let's talk about the food! More specifically, let's talk about the poutine! I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. High marks all around!

It was a "seat yourself", order your food & pick up your own drinks brewpub. The server themselves seemed to be doing little except deliver your food & clear the tables. My food was the TexMex Nacho Wrap ($17.00) w waffle fries. It SHOULD have been piping hot cause it took 45 minutes for us to get our food!! Instead, it was lukewarm with not much taste to it to boot! This was disappointing as the menu (attached) LOOKED very nice but the food disappointed. Our server(s) were less then polite & it kinda turned me off from the get go. As a seasoned restaurant goer...go somewhere else...this wasn't good. To the restaurant owner(s)...do a better job for crying out loud!

I was a regular at Block 3 when I lived in Waterloo. Well, if I'm honest, I was there all the time…read moreand they should have charged me rent. You might think beer was my primary motivation, and in the beginning it was. Block 3 is a small batch craft brewery that delivers on tasty beer. They generally have ten to twelve beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales, sours and sometimes a stout. They are all delicious in their own right although drinking barrel aged fruited sours is an acquired taste in my book, but trust me try them and you may learn to love them. But why else should you go? There is limited food (it's a brewery not a restaurant), no TV's to watch the game, a steady stream of classic rock playing in the background, kids running around and a few dogs to greet you on the way in. To make matters worse the cell reception is awful, my wife always had a hard time reaching me. Hmm, maybe that's not all bad... What kind of place is this, anyway? It's a modern twist on an old fashioned FAMILY oriented brewery, that's what! There are plenty of board games to play, the local regulars are always happy to share some stories, and the staff are the coolest people around. They have a great Mug Club and if you are lucky you get your own hand-thrown pottery mug with your name on it! Very cool... As I mentioned in one of my check-ins, Block 3 is a benchmark craft brewery experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough,

Their location is out on a working farm and distillery so it is out of the way via a country road. Their restaurant is great with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Would recommend indoor due to flies and weather. Their drinks are very good and their food surprisingly excellent for a place that's mainly a distillery. We were here as a group of 6 and ordered a bit of everything. Our order: - Caesar Salad (decently sized, everyone got some) - Mushroom Pappardelle (excellent sauce and very silky, every pasta noodle had loads of sauce, the best part of the meal) - Bee Sting (great pizza, comparable with places that just focus on pizza) - Cheese Monger (all the cheese pizza) - Truffle Funghi (not too strong of truffle, just enough and it all came together nicely) - Ontario Burratini (a great bread + dip with peaches, second best part of the meal) Drinks: - Gin Mule (basically a Moscow mule but with Gin) - Spritz (cherry) The service was amazing, food started coming out around 10 mins after ordering. Ordering did take a while as they were quite busy. The attached store sold their brand of drinks, some of which you only could get there. Lots of customers came and went with cases of drinks. We got some gin to bring home as well. They have a drinks stall at St. Jacob's if you are in the area (no restaurant though). For a distillery, not only do they have great drinks, but all their food seems well thought out and a great choice all on its own. The only con is that they are pretty out of the way, but worth the day trip. They have ample parking and you can hangout on the lawn for as long as you like. They have an outdoor bar as well as corn hole and tables for you to hangout at. Board games and picnic blankets encouraged.

Storm Stayed has a large seating area with mostly communal tables but some at the bar. I'd call it "Scandinavian" style with light wood colors and not a lot of decoration. Over in the kitchen, a few options that pair well with the beers such as hot dogs and pretzels. Outside seating is also available but too hot today for that! The beer list is constantly changing as they make new ones. Many/most of their beers are available to go. A great option for chilling and I'm glad I landed here for a while! I'm SO happy to have a craft brewery in my neighborhood. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Just a short walk from my house, I can now enjoy a craft beer in a unique environment. Storm Stayed has lots of their own beers plus lots of guest brews to choose from. I had two types, their Daybreak (blonde ale), and their Bad Math. Both were very refreshing and SO delicious. Having been to a few small craft brewers here in town, I'd say that Storm Stayed had the best taste hands down! In addition to great beer, they have lots of seating and lots of games you can pick up and play. I love that they push a 'sit anywhere' policy. I'm sure on busy evenings, this would be a great way to meet people! Storm Stayed gets a half a mark off for overall atmosphere. If you are looking for something cozy and intimate, this may not work for you. With its tall, bare, white walls, large spaces between tables, and echo-y acoustics, it can feel kind of cold and cavernous. The top 40 music being played from the tiny speaker in the corner didn't really fit in either. These things, however, will not keep me away. I'm excited to stop in for more brews that Storm Stayed cooks up! They are always adding unique flavors and guest taps. They also host small events like bike workshops. I need to come back to try their small selection of locally made food. The pretzels sounded amazing.

Four of us shared one of the $15 wood fired pizzas. We each had 2 slices. Thin crust, tasty and just right for a snack. Thumbs up for that! I wish we could be as positive about the beers. One of our group had the wheat beer that was brewed on site and liked it. Two of us shared a flight that included a stout, amber ale, kombucha and cider. I honestly can't recall which were brewed by Jobsite, but I think the amber and stout were. Neither was great. The amber was too bitter for my taste. The kombucha was just plain nasty. We all agreed, even the person who brews for a hobby said she's had much better kombucha at her beer club. The cider was the clear winner, but it was rather tasteless. It needed more fruit or something. So, while it's good to have an alternative to Black Swan in town, I hope the brewers here get better product soon. I'd go back for the pizza, but not for the beer.
